I really like the small joint blocks you use on the center stringers. I never thought about using those between the cross supports. They act like a 2-way hurricane clip. I disagree that the top cap is a "no go" as someone mentioned here. Pilings are not milled, not the same dimension, and one side has to be the "true" side, which in this case is the inner. Perhaps some do not like part of the piling tip exposed but, with these poles so aligned, I like the look. Just my 3 cents.
That boardwalk looks real nice... Damn, I need to make a seawall and a boardwalk, I wonder what the average linear price for seawalls is... interesting
Thanks for watching my channel and your comment. There’s a lot of different variables to go in to pricing that would have to be something done by the estimating department. I don’t like to share prices on the Internet as giving away numbers to local competition.
Hey, thanks for watching my channel. I really appreciate that! Typically only put the points when I’m running into hard pan or have to really drive them. We pretty much install in sand and mud down here but every once in a while, we run into hard pan. Keep watching!!👍
Quick question, when i built a deck using 6x6, I notched out a section so the cross support sits in a channel. You guys place flat up against it and bolt it in. I’m just curious. Which way is better. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching my channel and the question whenever we do heavy loads like bridges and cart boardwalks, we will notch it, but the strength of two bolts is well enough for average style docks and saves a little time
Thanks for watching my channel and your comment. Very minimal. The government has really restricted a lot of use of the heavy metals in water, so it has been greatly reduced over the years.
Thanks for watching. I typically go big ends down when I have a storm surge uplift issues. If that’s not the issue, then I’ll put the Tips down for easier insulation into the clay
No I don't approve Boss. That top plate on the rails is a no-go man. I would never do that even if the customer wants it. Does not look good in my opinion.
love seeing you put it together!!!
Nice job on the docks. If you made it wider, you could drive a tank across it. But why are you drawing the circular saw towards you?
John looks really sharp! 😊

Really nice job. Is this pond always so murky?
Thanks for watching my channel and your question. Just Merkey because we’ve been jetting holes for the Piling stirring up the mud.
Love the videos. Keep em coming. The only question is why are the the ends of piles that goes into the ground not pointy this time?

Why didn't they protect the open end of the pillars?
Thanks for watching in your question some people like cap some people don’t guess it’s just a personal choice.
Because they wanna buy pylons again in 15 years apparently
Wouldn’t the treated lumber release chemicals into the water?

What kind of water pump are you using ?
Is it tied into fresh water or using lake water ?
Thanks for the question we use a Honda 3 inch cervical pump and yes we are using the lakewater in this situation
How do you drive the piles?
Thanks for watching in your question will use a laboratory hammer to help assist with the installation of our pilings
Really enjoy you videos but can you answer the age old question
Big end up or big end down 😂

I like your face 💋
Yours don't look to shabby either
