Me waiting impatiently for the USA to realize how amazing Marianas Trench is
literally what I've been waiting for for so long!! 3rd grade me would be so proud!! I'm literally crying rn
I'm from the USA i've been a fan forat least 5 yrs
Me waiting impatiently for other men to realize how good they are...
There are a few of us..but we’re growing every day
@@wilfdarr hi!
When he said on stage "We're an unsigned band in the United States and it debuted at #1" I WAS THERE ! THAT WAS NY !! Omg I'm crying , I never screamed so loud in my life LOL
Pete Wentz should sign them to his decaydance label.
@@12bakd75 that’s a name I haven’t heard for a while
Excited to watch and pretend it’s 2019 & we can go to shows again 😭
Same.
I was supposed to see them in April this year a week before i was supposed to see MCR(their 2nd show back), MCR was cancelled but these guys rescheduled for September and now next November. Ive been waiting so long, they never tour Australia.. 😔
I booked the Australia shows too and was sad to cancel...hopefully will see you guys over there in November next year!!! 🤞🤞
riiiiight
FELT THAT 😭😭😭
this is making me so emotional, marianas trench is a band that has helped me survive the worst moments of my life with their beautiful music and soul-touching harmonies
Omg I can definitely relate
same bro
I can relate to this xx
Absolutely !!!!!
I'm crying real tears. What I would give to be at a Trench concert right now. I miss you guys😭😭
If I read the comment in other place different from here I would've thought you were talking about twenty one pilots album 😅😅 Trench is lit tho
The Killing Kind and Elenora are my favourites on the album, thats so cool that they were made in basically a week
Then you should see this: ruclips.net/video/Nl4QvXHRD6c/видео.html
I found this band randomly on RUclips and I'm so grateful that I did. Not only are they so talented but they are also so kind, fun and wholesome people. Really hope to be able to see them perform live again
YES good for you!
I attended the Edmonton show at almost 8 months pregnant! I couldn’t stand and dance as much as I would have liked but the show was amazing. For the first 4-5 months my daughter would only calm down in the car, or go to sleep if I played the phantoms album for her. Thank you guys so much for the great music and peaceful car rides!!
A child after our own hearts :') mad respect for you too
To see this band grow through the years and to see them live many a time is the greatest honour. Thank you guys for all these years and all the experiences you give to us fans. We love you
Ps seeing london, ON in this video makes my heart happy 💛
this really brings me back to the feeling of the original like, behind the scenes videos for music videos. Or the tour vlogs. Those were some of my key comfort content so to have something again that really makes us feel like we're there and connected again is so nice.
One word for the next album theme - pirates.
My guess is something apocalyptic - sorta like MCR’s Danger Days 🤔
dude I was thinking some sort of wacky abstract art but as music, but like pirates sounds so sick!!
@@keeleybell1401 oooo that also sounds pretty cool
I would love to see a spiritual successor to ever after and have Josh get trapped into a video game. Incorporate lots of 8 bit arcade sounds to the music and maybe he's gotta save his princess or something!
@@12bakd75look at their latest release and the new lyric video; you’re kinda spot on!
Okay, I wanna just share my experience with mtrench and why they'll always my comfort band and my favorite band.
Ngl, I was actually going through a really bad time in my life when Phantoms came out. My current bf at the time ghosted me but then came back later? Like the same month Phantoms released.
On my birthday, Phantoms released, and my ex broke up with me, and the day after that I was gonna go spend a few months in San Francisco. Not to mention I found out he'd been cheating on me.
Our relationship was short maybe about 8 months but our history before that we were best friends and I had loved him for years
I was isolated and depressed and just got dumped on my birthday
that led to a lot of bad decisions. I wish I could've enjoyed my trip there more.
Despite that, I listened to Phantoms non stop.
Later that year (about June or July) my ex ended up moving back into my town and we were "talking" For about a month. He led me on and I opened up about my self harm issue id been struggling with because I thought he would be there for me.
He then proceeded to tell everyone about my self harm and claim he was the one who made me stop.
Plot twist, he wasn't.
He then dated a girl who had actually bullied me for about a year. So much so she would dump water on my head and publicly humiliate me in front of people and slut shame me. (Funny tho we're actually friends now)
So needless to say, I wasn't doing too good. I was hurting myself on the daily, I was losing friends id had for years because I was "too depressed" Or "too negative" Or I "vent too much"
I was dying on the inside all the time.
One friend I had remaining decided to go to the concert with me. She brought 1 more friend who was actually a giant fan girl of the band and that's how I met my best friend to this day.
The second I bought those tickets my life turned around.
I went to the concert and gave the band a drawing I made that actually ended up in their vlog after the shows
(find the Dallas Texas vlog and you'll see my drawing I've improved a lot since then tho and plan to make them a much better drawing next time I go to a concert)
During the time where guests can ask questions, Josh picked me and I like to think my question got the best reaction.
It was "whats your craziest fan experience"
Later, the guy from the unlikely candidates (also one of my favorite bands) fell on top of me when he was running through the crowd
(it was on honor ngl plus I was cushioned)
Later I caught one of ians drumstick after the show, as we were walking out one of the people on the team asked me to record an interview kinda for the Dallas vlog. So I'm on there twice.
(You can see me and my friend talking about how we caught it in the Dallas vlog as well towards the end. I'm the obviously emo girl with black lipstick)
It was insane and I was so happy.when the vlog came out I was in tears. I saw myself so many times in something that meant so much to me.
My favorite band that I cried too during my break up (glimmer was 10000% my comfort song during that)
Was talking about a drawing I made.
I'm not saying Marianas trench cured my depression, but it gave me the strength to move on. I could pick myself up off the floor and move on.
About a month after the concert I met Mt current boyfriend we've been together a year and a half. He's the one I swear it. Plus he doesn't cheat on me.
I had the strength to cut out some people who were tearing me down
(Side note, one person I cut out of my life told me that they probably just filmed the drawing for a bit in the vlog then threw it away after. Then told me after that that my boyfriend probably doesn't love me because I'm too depressed)
My life has been better since the concert, just one night where nothing mattered, where everything worked, where I was truly happy, I got out of my rut id been stuck in for ages.
I can never thank them enough for that.
This is my happy rant don't mind me, I just wanted to share this for whoever cares enough to read it and also to get it out of my system. Consider this your sign to go to a Marianas trench concert and buy meet and greet passes
Do you know the name of the vlog? I cant seem to find it😧
Would love a tour with panic at the disco
I’ve loved these guys since I first heard them back in 2008! Every single album had held a special spot in my heart & I just love seeing their amazing talent just getting better and better as time flys by.. both my children fell in love with their music in different parts of their lives and both are adults now. We’ve been blessed to be from Vancouver and being able to go to many many of their shows & travelled numerous places just to see their shows in a different light, and never been disappointed. Can’t wait for the next album... Thank you for sharing this ♥️♥️
Congratulations everyone, fantastic job! This documentary was everything and more. Plus it was fun to spot my sister and I at 37:27. Can't wait until we meet again!
My second concert ever was Suspending Gravity in Cincinnati/Louisville and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life!!!! Y'all killed it! Thanks for making such awesome music!!!
OH GOD, I DIDN'T KNOW THIS WAS TO CAME OUT AND I'M SO HAPPY RIGHT KNOW
Me either. When??
Y'all even made the pool ghosts cry with your beautiful Elenora
I honestly can’t remember how I stumbled upon this band that is gods gift to ears but I’m so glad I did.
I was in the top 1% of listeners on Spotify this year. LOVE YOU!!!
Still remember trying to cram in the lyrics cause I was at the first show in Windsor and it was 5 days after release but low and behold I did it, and I remember singing to the killing kind and being surprised with myself lol
Seeing you Cologne was basically the last big thing I did before lockdown and it's such a treasured memory for me. Even though the venue was pretty small compare to the ones in the US and Canada, the atmosphere was amazing! I can't wait to hear new stuff from you!
Love this band so much it was at their Rochester show that I asked my now wife to marry me at the meet and greet
loved feeling like I was behind the scenes
I cant wait for 5. Will be decorating christmas cookies and watching this
I am so thankful I get to see a Documentary of Marianas Trench. I am totally going to share this to my sister tomorrow!I have been a fan of them for 10 years and I did make a comic about MT, and it's still going. I have some pages on deviant art. I do want to get it done by end of the year to give to my Grandma on the Island, which it's in BC. :)
So excited for this! I cannot believe I've been a fan for 10 years now!!!
(12:32) "Not because it's a big shredder vocal..."
All of us tenors would disagree. That vocal is tough as nails, and you SLAYED that thing!! The Killing Kind is soooooo frickin' good.
Thanks MT for saving 2020
Y'all are my favourite band in the whole world, and have been since Fix Me came out in 2006. Thank you so much for your music.
Been a fan since 2006...i was pregnant with my first daughter. At work one day and this obnoxious pink trailer goes driving slowly down the street in front of the store blaring a song i had heard on the radio and loved. I looked out the door and saw you guys coming down the street like your own personal parade on the way to the radio station. Found out you were opening for (i think) down with webster that night. Managed to get a ticket from my friend who worked at the radio station. Went, watched you guys and left before the main band because you were who i went to see.
Fast forward 11 years, i had been to 4 other shows of yours since that first one. Found out you were.coming to town again to play Summer in the Park, immediately bought tickets for myself and my daughter...you were her first concert (twice over if you count the one when she was in my belly lol). Now she is 14 and as big a fan as i am. Cant wait to hear whats next for you guys.
(I know chances are slim you will ever see this but I hope you do)
Literally had an alarm set for 1am...haven't been disappointed. This over sleep for sure! Shout out from Northern Ireland
Is anyone else dying to hear a ballad-esque version of I Knew You When now? Can not wait to see these guys live again, they're such a gift to the world. Also minor spoilers ahead....
I literally squeeeed when Josh held up his wedding ring. So fricking happy for them. Can't wait to hear what amazing songs come out of their bliss.
This pandemic needs to end so we stop losing people, period. But man oh man, it'll be great to see live music again. I told the guys when I did the M&G for Suspending Gravity, that Astoria got me through losing my Grandma (she & my Mom raised me). I had no idea what Phantoms would get me through in 2019 & now the hellscape of 2020. These guys are a gift that just keeps giving and I hope they, and the amazing crew who keeps them going know that they're literally helping keep some of us alive.
Thank every last person involved in MT --- the production crews, backups, family members, the band....everyone.... You are all amazing.
I heard you for the first time about 7 years ago. My flat mate was playing desperate measures during a flat party at university and I remember hiding in my room cause I was too anxious to leave and hearing that song for some reason instantly made me feel better... I showed my face to the flat for the first time in 6 months.. since that day I’ve been obsessed. This band helps me through my darkest days and lowest of low moments. I met you in 2017 and it was THE BEST day of my life. I can’t thank you guys enough for making the music you do. You’ve brought me back to life. I love you! MTrenchers for life 💚❤️
I can vividly remember my sister playing celebrity status for me in 2009 when i was 7 years old and from that point i fell in love with them. Im 19 now and their music has always held a special place in my heart❤. I think the phantoms album really showed them how dedicated their fans are since people had 3 days to fall in love and memorize every word of the album. Josh, Matt, Mike and Ian you guys are truly my heros and i hope the whole world will come to realize how amazing not only your music is, but how amazing you are as people as well
Love from Beautiful British Columbia❤❤
You guys will always be my favorite band! I've been a fan for ten years and you guys mean so much to me!
Josh is so amazing. I love this band.
The people who disliked only did it because they are jealous of what you guys can do and make and they cant.
I went to the Portland Oregon show toward the end of the US leg of the tour!
I just wanted to say that not only did I learn the music on the phantoms album before the show but I also learned the music that was going to be played at the concert and branched out after that all before the show in June because my friend introduced me to your band!
The show did not disappoint! I hope you guys can come back when Covid is gone and play a gig in Portland!
Also went to the Portland Oregon show!! Feel in love with them during that show (it was my first time going and first real experience!)
I BEGGED MY LOCAL VENUE PROMOTER FOR 2 YEARS AND THEY FINALLY BOOKED A HAWAII SHOW and as you know covid 19 took that away from me BUT MIKE *NOT* FORGETTING HAWAII AND ALSO SAYING IT IS GETTING REBOOKED MAKES ME, A VERY DEPRESSED PERSON, happy. I will be looking forward to it even if it takes 2 more years. Thank you Matty Bizzle ( concert promoter here in Hawaii) for putting up w my begging and also the MT crew. This documentary made my day. Praying to see you live finally soon. All my love to each and everyone🥰
It's amazing to see all the work put into making the album and hearing the crowd sing the songs was a boost of serotonin
Yeah. I NEED that instrumental outro...
Guess they buried the lead in the promo...this documentary is FABULOUS! What a special behind the scenes look at the tour...if you were able to attend ANY of the concerts on the Phantoms tour so much will feel familiar...you get to see the guys as they really are...as painful as the balance of this year has been, this documentary brings you right back to better times with the hope of tomorrow...try to watch this on a big screen if possible...I am watching it more than once!
I remember listening to Stutter and Desperate Measures when I was only 9 years old because my teacher always played it and I was curious where that band I was obsessed with is and to my surprise they’re still together but so heavily underrated. You guys are absolutely amazing and Phantoms is literally my most loved album from 2019
I always love that every album is a different genre , story , and just whole different thing all together; y'all can honestly say that you've done it all ! When I first heard "The Killing Kind" , I had never been more PROUD of you guys . Every outro to all of your albums is always the best part (as we all know) , but this one just hit DIFFERENTLY ! I almost wanted to go into fetal position because I didn't know how to handle it LOL. It's an actual masterpiece and you guys should feel BEYOND accomplished . I love you always !!!
my best friend and i went to their show in Boston and met the guys back in may last year. it was one of the besTTT days of my life and we made it into a DOCUMENTARY. i know it doesn't seem like much but ive been a fan for so many years, creating so many art projects, listening to their music on a daily basis, talking about them to my friends in america where theyre not as well known. they just truly inspire me and have helped me through so much, so that was just so fucking awesome to see🥺😭
dude I feel
@@rebeccapaiottidasilva4054 ill never get over them😩
@@taylynne432 you and me both bro
Whaaat😯😯😯 what a perfect early Christmas gift!!! So excited 🥰🥰💖💖
I think we've been in 2020 too long... I'm getting anxious from the crowds
My ex gf and I listened to Phantoms a lot. And after she passed away last year, random songs playing on my iPod would literally change mid-song to tracks from Phantoms. It's definitely spooky.
ooooo
The amount of thought and consideration they put into the process is phenomenal
You guys are so humble and talented. You make me a proud Canadian 🇨🇦
This just made my day.
I saw them in Pittsburgh during this tour! I even saw Josh and Mike across the street from me when me and my friend were in line to get in
I’m the 0.001% of Spotify listeners according to my year results
Just finished watching it that was incredible and brought memories
This is like the best early Christmas gift like ever!! This is soo awesome!! 🥺✨😊🎉🎊
i love this so much!!! with how much love i have for phantoms and attending both US tours it was so amazing to have a look behind the scenes. thank you for making + sharing this. ♥
Thank you so much I needed that ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a band!!! Miss you guys. So excited for the next show
I can not fucking wait until your next album! You guys have never disapointed me with your amazing music! I haven't gone a single day for over 3 months now with out listening to at least one of your songs (one turns to many songs) I can't wait to hear what you guys will make! I love yous!!❤❤❤❤
You make Canadians proud! You are an inspiration and make hopes and dreams come true for so many. Keep it up. We'll be seeing you soon on your next Canadian tour. By the way Josh, our family loves you so much, you have a Zelda tattoo, my wife has blue hair, and by far our favourite song and video is Stutter. The kids want to know when you'll be singing with Brendon Urie?
This is so cool! The fact that a new album is getting worked on already gives me so much excitement and hope for the future ^^
The only time I wanted to be blinded was by that amazing guitar. It happened in Sudbury 2019 March. It. Was. Awesome. 😍😇
Was fortunate enough to see you twice during this tour (making it 8 times I’ve seen you!) Went to Niagara Falls NY and Moncton NB ♥️
Haven’t had a chance to watch it yet due to schedule conflict but I can’t wait 🥰
compared to the DVD documentary they made YEARS ago this is so crazy to watch. i just watched them back to back and wow. they’ve come so far yet they’re still the same goofy people, i love them so much
Fantastic work guys! Thank you for putting this together for us fans, we cant wait to see you perform again in person!!
Just reflecting and how time is eerie. I have seen you guys 3 times, 2015, 2016, & 2019. I have met all of you twice, got a guitar pick and a setlist. It's just crazy to me. I don't call myself a fan but I truly enjoy your music. Maybe in a year or so I can see you guys again
This was my 8th show, saw them Kitchener. I haven't missed a single canadian tour in the last like 8 years, also made it to one US tour. I remember seeing them at beat rocks the block in Kitchener like 11? Years ago.
Absolutely adore you. You’ve been my favorite for almost 10 years now, thank you so much for working on all you do!
So we’re not gonna talk about Josh’s beard?
Guess not 😓
makes him look like a Canadian Dave Grohl
I'll actually really dig it. He rocks the grunge look! It's alot to take in though. 😂
@@telafox7090 just a bit of a hair cut, some beard care and I think he could rock it. 🤷🏻♀️
This awoke my post concert depression from the Windsor show, Totally can't wait for the world to start spinning so I can have another opportunity to see y'all
The best part of this:
Executive produced by Benny & the Jets Ramsay
Assisted by Fred Webb
Phantoms is such an amazing album, and the show in Winnipeg was so great. I cannot possibly imagine what you’re going to do next, what the themes and the sounds will be, or how you’ll top yourselves. But I know it’s going to be fantastic.
Was so lucky to be able to see you on this tour twice, first in Toronto and then in Orillia - right before COVID hit!
I am from the shake tramp era and have been a fan ever since! It’s amazing the albums you put out. I can’t wait to hear what new songs quarantine brings us. Xox
I’ve been waiting for a day off from work to watch this. This is it. I am READY.
It made me so happy to watch this.
Absolute best show I've ever been to, the London UK Show in November 2019! ❤️
Been listening to your music for so many years, and no one's inspired me as much as you have. Thank you so much
You guys seriously get better and better with every album. I don't know how you do it.
To be back at a live show, chills
I wish I could like this a millions times!! Thank you
Those acoustics in the pool though 🤩
I’m so happy I got to see you guys again in Halifax back in Feb before the pandemic hit. Been to 7 concerts and 2 meet and greets 🇨🇦❤️
Thank you, this was wonderful!
Just found this band on my Discover Weekly Spotify playlist...caught my eye cuz Marianas Trench is one of my favorite ABR songs.
Phantoms is definitely gonna be an album on repeat in the coming months 🤘
Just finished watching it and brought so many memories and the collage I made
I can't believe it took me four days to see that this came up.
Just finished watching it - I love seeing you guys interact and talk about the way you create and how much you love all the different aspects of what you do.
I'm so proud of how far MT has come since I first discovered you. You guys have put in so much work and made so many incredible albums since then, and it always makes me happy to see your tours expanding because that reflects the increase of people discovering and loving you as much as I did and still do.
Seeing you guys talk about having doubts anyone would know the songs because the album released so close to the tour starting, though.😂
Come on, boys. You should know better than to underestimate Trenchers like that! I had ever song memorized in less than a day, and I'm sure many others did too. Phantoms was the only thing I listened to for a solid two weeks, minimum, after it released.
Additionally, Eleanora in the pool. Holy shit. The acoustics of that are amazing.👌🏻
So excited to hear that you're working on new material! I cannot wait, I know it will be absolutely, mind-blowingly amazing. It always is.
The best thing about 2020 has been that COVID didn't hit until after Suspending Gravity's Moncton date.
I miss concerts so much, but honestly? I went out on a high. The last show I saw before COVID shut everything down was Suspending Gravity, and I could not have asked for a better final show.
Can't wait to see you live again, though.
Amazing job guys!! such a great documentary!
Even if I have to travel to another country everytime you tour, it's totally worth it! I can't wait until the next time you can come to Europe, with love from Spain 💛💛
Saw Suspending Gravity in Vancouver and it was amazing! So excited for post-pandemic new album tour.
Eleanora in the haunted pool was so gorgeous
love you guys! wish i could've seen you on tour last year
I was at the MKE show and Chicago show, both were incredible
Love to see that they’re still fucking around with each other to the same degree
I miss you guys! Your guys show is something I look forward to every year! I attend to see 2-4 shows a tour.
It's currently 2 a.m. where I am but this was so worth ruining my sleep schedule!!!
Honestly one of the best documentaries I've seen :) love you guys and love that you made this so accessible!
Loved every minute of this! In 2019, I attended the Windsor, Detroit and Sarnia shows and wish I could have gone to more! Can't wait for new music! ❤ you guys!
I can't wait to see y'all live again :) I'm missing concerts now.
What a documentary miss you guys so much! Can’t wait til we can properly go to shows again! ❤️ love from Scotland x
It’s literally 1:30am where I am
