    Yorkshire is an excellent place to explore particularly for the Geologist. Many thanks for the short but related information that provides temptation for to visit and admire with the amazing beauty from the pages of earth history.

    Some bizarre pronunciations: Pateley Bridge, Outgill, Aysgarth Falls.
    Also, the walk from Grassington to Burnsall along the River Wharfe is fantastic, and should have been included.

    Pateley Bridge. To say it correctly pronounce the first word like the English word lately.

    Just a tip; Do NOT go to Bolton Abbey, Malham Cove, or Skipton at weekends, when they become "tourist hell". Visit during weekdays when they are quiet and you can enjoy them at their best.
