You will also have to add one more pipeline, so you have a way to actually get the oxygen out. 1 pipe handles 2 pumps. This would be the optimal max output for your system. At the end, you were talking about having infinite storage centralised at your base. I try to avoid infinite storages in general, but people likes them, they are very useful and practical. But my advise would be build them as far from your base as possible. Look at youtube for infinite storage explosion. Specifically crude oil is really fun, because it's so hot and can turn to petroleum and sour gas...
