Got one of these coming in a few days. Ive gathered they're a pain to build, so I totally appreciate the video! Looking forward to the challenge! I can build Tamiyas in my sleep, the Sand Scorcher was a cool one though. I really liked building my Kyosho Beetle too. Almost got an Optimia Mid, cause they look so cool, but I've been eye balling this Schumacher for way too long.

@@Hillbillypunk All and all it wasn’t terrible and the instructions are very clear. Like I said the worst part is the front end . Have fun ! It’s a great car .

Yeah that wasn't too bad at all. Definitely more challenging than most, dexterity wise, but I got it together and man is it smooth!
Am I supposed to remove the front belt tensioner after it's all set and clamped? Seems unnecessary to leave it there, and the o-rings for the front suspension are like, touching the screw threads.

@@Hillbillypunk I’m not sure I don’t remember seeing anything about removing them . Mine is resting on the screws as well .

@@Okpaintguy2 I'm probably gonna take it outta there. I just see those screws tearing up the o-rings.
Speaking of o-rings, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that the spur gear is held on by an o-ring!

Your “oval racing” brain probably looked at the chassis and automatically put the 4 cells on the left side lol. Pretty neat car though. Especially for the time period.
