Yoshi's gulp has a few more unused behaviors as well (which jdaster has a video on), like the yoshi having an animation implicitly for eating a bob-omb, and one where he spits out a giant fireball presumably after eating an ember, which hits all other enemies for a bit of fire damage.
I love TTYD, but somehow I knew none of this stuff. If you had mentioned the incredibly almost unused status condition: "Allergic" there would be an obscure fact in this video that I knew aldready. For those not in the know, the "Allergic" status condition that almost nothing can put on you. No enemies use it to my knowledge, and the only way to get it through consumables is things like Space Food, which even if you eat Space Food, there's only a chance to get affected by this status condition, not 100% of the time. What does Allergic do? Makes you immune to being inflicted with status conditions
I’m pretty sure the Shadow Queen gives it to you, but this could be me misremembering (I’ve never played TTYD, I’m speaking from Skawo’s GC playthrough)
5:50 my favorite is number 23: Mario must attack audience N times like, yeah go on a rampage for a lil, hit the paying customers of the pit just a lil, its exciting!
I'd hope that the "audience throws items" effect would be temporarily boosted for that... There's maybe one or two ways to force an audience item throw, but it depends on who's in the audience (X-Nauts are much more likely to stone Mario for performing badly, while Hammer Bros are _guaranteed_ to wallop you if you fail a _hammer_ action command specifically) and is certainly not guaranteed to be available in a given audience...
0:23 Tch tch tch, you forgot about challenge runners and people who follow a lot of speedrunners 😔 That said, still didn't know everything, including the thing about badge drops returning to the shop funny enough. I'm really curious about the Chapter 7 bomb timer :o That was another thing I didn't know about, and I'd love if they found some way to work it into the remake. Maybe after talking to TEC-XX? Good video still btw
Love hearing little fun facts about my favourite Mario games. I did actually know about several of these due to watching a couple other videos about TTYD oddities and also by seeing you tweet about some of them lol 😅
Haha me and my brother played this game so many times when we were kids and I have a few times as I got older but I didnt know any of those! Good video!
Yooooo the MuzYoshi content ??? **Edit** - Wow these all ABSOLUTELY blew my mind!! In fact literally every fact I did not know any of these things. Leave it to Muz to reveal new info I never knew!
Here's an interesting one: if the game's modified to have Vivian AND another partner out in battle at the same time, and Vivian hides Mario with Veil... ...when the other partner's turn comes around, there'll actually be a flashing icon of Mario's head indicating that he's currently hiding under the ground!
Yeah, the closest ones I knew were the flurrie bush blowing and the yoshi eating pokey facts. Always love learning more about this game, and glad you made a video about this!
There’s actually one obscure thing that I feel like many players don’t know about. If you go behind the trouble center and blow it with Flurrie it’ll reveal a back entrance and who’s behind it.
Huh. It sounds like not being able to hammer to show floor panels was a bug, then. Like the hammer isn't going low enough normally to trigger it, or that the triggers were placed too low. Sure, it could have been a feature they "removed" by lowering the trigger, but then why would they add it back in the remake? No, it suggests this was always an intended mechanic. (I guess it could also be a mechanic that didn't work quite right so they "removed" it by lowering it, but then the remake fixed the mechanic. Still, that suggests the floor hammering was originally intended.)
also, all the glitz pit conditions made me wonder if the remake could have something like an endless pit , where the pit keeps putting you in battles agaisnt random enemies and random conditions , most likely wont be added but i think it would be pretty cool :3
6:28 Why would they put that there when you can’t even reach after you activate the hidden floors? Also I feel like that’s the only missable thing in this game that if you don’t do it before you complete the puzzle tower you’ll miss it forever.
I've loved your art for years! Super excited to see you making videos now!
aww ty TJ! Dunno if it'll be a super regular thing but it was really fun!
@@MuzYoshi one time endeavor or new established norm, I'll enthusiastically support you! I hope this video gets the attention it deserves!

Hoping the couch underneath the room in Twilight Town is just where Luigi writes in his diary. He just has one in a basement of every town
"It turns into a Persona game!" you're the Jokester. from Pong 5
THE ART IN THIS VIDEO GOES CRAZY!!!
I love your character design!!!
Thank you so much!!!
I’ve played this game multiple times since I was 7 and didn’t expect to be surprised, and was immediately blown away by the grass thing.

Like WHAT were they thinking with this one lmao

Great video, proud to say I knew roughly half of them.
Happy to finally see gameplay footage of Pennington.
Haha they recorded it today! The whole vid is in the description :D
You telling me you made this in a DAY??? Does that include the character? 'Cause those are some lovely animations!
Haha thanks! Nah the character was made over about 3 different days previously :)
Any% Video making World Record
As a casual RPG fan, this is one of the few I'm obsessive over. So I always love learning tidbits like these.

Kinda wild that the only one I knew about was the extra Glitz Pit conditions. The Pennington fight is incredible.
these are all brilliant!!
That means so much, thank you ;_;
This is my favorite game of all time and I literally only knew the fact about the bushes. This is amazing!
Love hearing little fun facts about my favourite Mario games. I did actually know about several of these due to watching a couple other videos about TTYD oddities and also by seeing you tweet about some of them lol 😅

OHHHH the extra Glitz Pit conditions are really cool, would love to see that in like a postgame rematch
Yooooo the MuzYoshi content ???
**Edit** - Wow these all ABSOLUTELY blew my mind!! In fact literally every fact I did not know any of these things. Leave it to Muz to reveal new info I never knew!
That's exactly why I made it! Glad you enjoyed :)
I knew about the Petal Meadows bushes, the Yoshi Pokey head thing, the hole in Gloomtail's room, and dropped badges showing up in the badge shop

The legendary Muz on youtube!?
no way.. this cant be real..
I'm pleasantly surprised that I didn't know most of these! Great video!
Didn't know most of these, even beyond the ones you've shared individually before. Great video Muz!
The only one I knew about was the swallowing Pokies... This stuff was crazy! Thanks for sharing!
10:14 🤯 now I know why you’re able to superguard the fog 🌫️ that’s actually so cool!

This was an awesome video thank you for sharing!!!
Oh, hey, i remember you from Twitter. You did one of my Paper mario themed avatar icons.
Loving how the video turned out

wow! so many secrets?? it looks so cool!!
Nice video, MuzYoshi 👍
Oh wow, the Excess Express pot detail made it in. I guess Zephiles shared it with you? Cool.
Haha yeah he did! I now feel rather silly having seen that there are simply two pots in the remake lol. They did fix this one tho, I checked!
this is amazing i didnt know these?!? 🐊
omg?!?! why not?!? are u a noob or sumfing?!
@@MuzYoshi yeah :(((
i swear i remember looking at panels with my hammer as a kid...
I almost definitely never knew about TTYD!!
Me now knowing theres a galley pot AND a small pot. A lot more detail
WHAT IS THE CUTE DRAGON ON MY SCREEN
it's my mascot/sona/original character, whatever you wanna call him!
Would be so neat if the remake included the unused glitz pits conditions!
omg muz youtuber arc
really cool video !!

I actually saw a tweet regarding the hole bowser made!
It was probably my tweet LOL
I didn't know ANY of this so this was cool to learn about. ALSO I LOVE YOUR VTUBER YOSHI THING IN THE VIDEO!!!!!!!!
So...what happens if you somehow lose those Doopliss "fights" in CH.4? Is it treated as a normal gameover or does the game freak out?
THE muz Yoshi
Look a Yoshi.
MUZ HAS RUclips CHANNEL YOOOO?
7:52 no because now there are two of them
Imagine how dumb I felt when I got to that point in the remake lmao
Good video and only took a day.
