I guess the dogs are low enough to the ground that looking upwards is enough for them to be considered offscreen, so their attacks are much more likely to miss.

Well im not sure about that cause las plaguas is a parsite and not a virus so it cant be transmitted through bites or scratches Edit: the genatoes also primarily use melee weapons.

And even if we include the times where Leon was passed out, it comes out to much less than 24. And I’m pretty sure the game is supposed to take place over the course of at least a couple days.
I love how much you can learn from runs like this! I didn't realise you could kill the wasp nest, or how to get the pearl pendant in the well, or you can destroy the boulder with the rocket launcher, or that you can shoot out the spotlight!

I commented 2 months ago that I was struggling to play re4 normally and this video motivated me to keep going. 2 months later I’m doing a no damage run myself I’m just shocked at how far I’ve come in those months and that I still need this video as a little bit of advice on certain stages lol

Played this game over 20 times and never knew about the treasure under the bed canopy, or destroying the last fire breathing statue by shooting the chain.
I feel like the Novistador strategy can be improved just by opening the door, ducking back out and vaulting onto the balcony, becaose for some reason they can't join you outside.

2:24. i've always thrown the grenade out the little window on the left, instead of that bigger window, good thing to mention as a speedrunner myself is that the you need to stand behind the logs that Trance stands behind for the grenade to work, the reason is to manipulate enemy spawn, because as we run up and grab the shotgun and the other hand grenade, the enemies have spawned in such a way that makes the other hand grenade work. what i've personally done is throw the grenade out the small window directly as you spawn in (takes practice), run up, grab the shotgun and the second hand grenade and then run down, jump out the window on the left and throw the hand grenade on the ground below the left side fence of the house you just jumped out on, wait shortly and jump over the fence, abusing eyeframes killing all enemies nearby
"It all came to me" reminded me so much of the "it came to me in a dream... before I forgot it in another dream" keep being the Hubert Farnsworth of Horror games
would probably be easier its in first person so its easier to keep enemies out of your line of sight strafing and run+shoot are allowed by default aiming is much easier and faster bolt action, pump action, whatever the hell the grenade launcher is, and reloads are infinitely faster because its only limited by how fast your hands can move quick turning allows you to shoot an enemy to your left and then one to your right in less than 5 years dual wielding is allowed, my personal favourite being red9+knife/tmp aiming through scopes is only a “how stable is your hand” problem rather than an “is your timing, stability, and speed good enough” problem weapon switching is also infinitely faster you dont need to confirm in order to pick up items this not only makes it easier but also opens up the path for tons of new meta and strategies

The last couple minutes of the final run was one of the most tense things I've ever experienced, I was praying for my guy

Hit them with a grenade, brings the Plagas out, than flash. Just repeat. Lol
