    So I'm suffering from CTS, and the doctor/surgeon I met instantly started to talk about surgery, no real check-up, just straight to it. That didn't feel right, so I basically didn't come back, and now 1,5 years later, I still got CTS but the symptoms are better at least, just from changing ergonomics and posture. It's so frustrating that health care can vary so EXTREMELY much from Doctor to Doctor. This vid really makes me wish I could go see Dr. Levi for my issues, you can tell he knows what he's talking about, and cares for his patients.

      Same here.. Did an EMG test and they confirmed CTS. They said i should have surgery because i got this problem since 2015 but i'm gonna try more and more exercises and things like that. Only go for surgery if you literally have no other option left, if you can't really use your hand for example. Dr. Levi is our best choice i feel like. We just have to find the discipline to practice all of these exercises for months or even years. Stay strong and fit, peace :)

      I have similar experiences so I can really understand the frustration you feel. I'm dealing with tennis elbow for a good 3 years now and I went from "can't even raise my arm" to being able to do almost everything - in moderation of course. It's still a long way to heal completely, but at least we have Dr Levi's videos to help us. I wish you all the best!

      +MrOiiink I've had tennis elbow for 5 years and its not really worse but not any better. could you tell me the exercises you used, or at least a few of them and a general way you have been going about your day? I find it very difficult to really ever start my recovery and I truly feel It can get better but I lack money for even a brace and my PT is already talking about surgery which makes me not even want to bother with them...
      any reply would be greatly appreciated, hope you are feeling better since you left this comment, chronic conditions are very difficult

      There are several things for treating carpal tunnel syndrome at home
      Do stretches - the pain is casued by tension in the nerve
      Seek the advice of experts as it can lead to permanent damage
      (I discovered these and the reasons they work from Dariks Pain Destroyer site )

      I had the same experience. My cts is intermittent, but lately it's been terrible. I refuse to get surgery until other options have been ruled out.

    Dr Levi, I really admire you both as a doctor and a person. I saw an orthopaedist for my tennis elbow and first and directly asked about physical exercises (e.g. with dumbbells), but my requests were completely ignored, even after seeing him 3 times. Instead I got a generic pain relief gel (Voltaren) and a cortisone injection which I didn't even want. I just thought the doc should know best. None of these things helped me in the long run of course, so I started forearm exercises "on my own" with the help of your wonderful video. I am much better now and next time I'll be sure to not waste my time with a doctor who doesn't listen to me. Thank you for your videos. They keep helping me and I would recommend your channel to anyone who faces similar issues.

    Thank you Dr. Harrison! I am a 49 y.o. tattoo artist and painter who just started to suffer from CTS. I've started doing the exercises and will wear a brace to sleep in. I was really worrying as it is pretty bad tonight (after a 4+ hour tattoo today) but just having something to do for it gives me hope :-) I'll also take more breaks while working and do the exercises then and will be seeing my pcp later this month about this. You are warm and personable and do a great job with your videos. Thank you.

    I got CTS and also had surgery, when returning to exercise and keyboard use 12 months later the pain came back. Now I came across this and tried the various exercises but it seems to aggravate the cts further. Are you supposed to be pain free when you start these exercises?

    I've seen my GP and Dr and they aren't sure what it is, my phsio tested my central nervous system through applying pressure on my back but it didn't correct the issue i'm having which is sensations within the middle finger, ring finger and small finger on both the left and right hand, i also have a small swelling on my right ring finger in the are where you would put a ring on and above that i have small bruising, so a broken blood vessel this is also on my left ring finger. My main concern is the sensitvity i feel in these three fingers at the tips and when i pick things up now, they feel a lot heavier, even holding my phone makes my fingers/hand ache. It's not the fingers that are commonly carpal tunnel and i have no tingling or numbness and i only have the sensations and ache when i'm touching something or picking something up? I've had it for 10 weeks now. It's so frustrating. I really need this diagnosed so i know i'm doing the right things to fix it whatever it is. Maybe stretched tendons? peripheral Nerve damage? I don't know.

    Hey Doc.
    Just trying to do the stretches causes a very large amount of pain in my wrist and some around my elbow area. I have carpal tunnel but have been unable to get an EMG yet. My Dr. told me to take Vitamin B6 for a month and see if that does anything before we go any farther.

    Never before in my life!!!
    After the enchondroma surgery(which I regret having had) and after my regular yoga work outs which I have been doing for years. It seems that I exegarreted with squeezing the ball (since the dr said i should be doing it like non stop to regain my finger mobility). A huge mistake.
    Please will my physical trearments help and what am I allowed to do when it comes to workouts wothout damaging my hands more?

    • @HoobaBros
      @HoobaBros 7 лет назад +1

      Everyone is different. It's hard to say that it's for life. Changing lifestyle can do a lot. It's not easy to change your life but if you have carpal tunnel or even if you only have a bit of wrist pain, it's still good to exercise every day.

    • @WrathoftheLiger
      @WrathoftheLiger 7 лет назад +8

      Not necessarily. If you have symptoms and you can make lifestyle choices that do not exacerbate those symptoms, it may eventually heal itself to the point that returning to the old and damaging habits does not necessarily evoke a symptomatic response. I hope that makes sense.
