Cost?
@@baileyjerman5573 click the link 🤦♂️
Hello sir if someone wants to setup a IMAX 70mm theatres in India
What are the things that will be needed first sir?
Links not working. Do you have the model? 😅
@@nomorutrIts called Kodak slide n scan
imagine beginning ur vid with "and thats the best way"
That’s how you know it’s a loop
@@porksandwichstolennft8822 nice account
For a film guy he really couldn't make the loop smooth
@@happytears8038 yeah he could do better bc he just instantly cut and paste the last bit to the beginning of the vid
lol😂
Good vid. Btw, a Plustek scanner would do a much better job tho
i’d try starting the video with “-the fastest way to scan..” and end with and that’s the-“
yeah but he needed to stop talking for a sec for the loop to be smoother
I got this about a month ago and it's soooo worth it 👌🏻 😌
may I know how much?
@@sreynichkeo4034 if you mean how much the scanner costs, there's a link in the pinned comment
Espon v600 seems like a better option for the price.
That’s awesome.
Suggestion: start the video off with "the way to turn a film negative into a digital phone is ..." and end the video with the words "and thats" and then the loop would sound like "and thats the fastest way.."
That is if you think a better way to make a loop is to not make it seem like a loop from the get-go. But if that's your style, you do you
Hey I remixed this! It was my first remix. Anyway thanks for sharing Anthony. You a fellow Italian? Bada Bing!
They should do a more pro compact version for film video cameras which would make it much simpler.
Film video cameras is an oxymoron.
I know it’s a ignorant question but I’m new here and my English it’s not good. So I can use this scanner right after I finish take the pictures? Or do I need to use so chemical on the film first?
chemical first
Very Impressive, But do you know another option, something cheaper?
Not sure if this counts as cheaper- but it’s pretty useful. You can do this exact thing in photoshop! I’ve done it before, and it’s not even that complicated; you just need to take a photo of the negative film in front of a light (or the sky), crop it, invert the color in the layer, then use the 3 eye dropper tools to modify the colours based on brightness- yeah okay it’s kinda complicated but photoshop is a really powerful tool that can do a whole lot more than converting negative film!
There are ways do reveal them in photoshop using color correction
Most photo stores still develop and scan film, so if you ask nicely, they might accept to scan some already developed film for you for a reasonable price.
The other option is to take a picture of the negaative against a backlight, then invert and correct the colors in your software of choice. In my experience it pays off to take the time to set up a good and even backlight, nailing the focus on the negative, etc. and darktable's negadoctor works pretty well, giving acceptable colors without too much work.
@@marilakos sadly if you do it that way you will loose quality, most of the time with this method you will be scanning your negatives with you phone which isn't the best way of doing it. The scanner shown in the vid isn't that great either but is way better than a phone and the light room method
@@Sebastian_Astudillowhy would you use a phone to scan the film??
If you don't really need high res scans and just wanna digitize them yeah this isn't a bad option
For a recommendation for you. Don't start the video off with "and that's" because it doesn't really make sense. Have it start at "The fastest way" so it makes sense. Then at the end of the video end it with "and that's" so that it smoothly leads into the rest of the sentence once the video loops
You should make a video of trying film photography
i’m a film photographer and it’s quite fun, although i almost enjoy mixing the chemicals and the development process more than the actual photography
What's the largest width you can feed it? I have negatives that are 2.5 inch by 4 inch and some are 4x6
But what happens with panoramic strips like the ones from the hasselblad xpan
I just want to say that I am proud of @kodak.
Do yourselves a favor and either get a lab scan or buy an Epson scanner meant specifically for this.
This product is literally meant specifically for this 😂 it’s made by the people who make half the film ever made
Its not made by Kodak (they just put their name on it)...
If you want to get good film scanns, either get a lab scan or get a good film scanner like an plustek 8100...
@@LukemasonmediaI don't even think you shoot film and if you do you're probably the type of person to still send it to cvs instead of a film lab 😂
that's coool
the perfect loop doesnt exis-
Thank you I have to buy this because I have too much negative flims lying around in my house and my girlfriend is forcing me to throw them out
You can also do this is Photoshop!
How did I know you’d have the perfect explanation on how to do this… thx for all you do for us learning photographers 🫶🏼
So it basically takes a photograph of a photograph
Can it do 110
How good are the results tho?
It's pretty mediocre tbh. You are better off just giving your negatives to your local photo lab to get professional scans
what is a "roll of film"?
Funny that Kodak made this gadget.
They still make film! 😍
but you'd still have to develop it right?
Yeah, you can't scan photos without developing them first.
Sure
Can it do raw?
I think you don't really understand what RAW is...
Say whatttt
Why not a Dng?
One word: photoshop
There's 100s of tutorial lying around for help and references
? Photoshop won't go from a physical 35mm film frame to an image. If you mean after it's scanned, I think most people use lightroom because that's what it's designed for.
@@ProperlyPsychoticplease shutup lol
i wouldn’t recommend one these to be honest, they provide poor quality scans and can easily scratch your negatives. a flatbed scanner like an epson v600 or a dslr/mirrorless camera scanning setup offers far better results.
You can do the same with Photoshop
First i was... Oh nice...and than.... Convert it into... Jpeg....
How do you turn Film photos into Digital photos i already have an old film camera please answer ❤
walmart still does film and it's cheaper than buying this
Let me know if I'm wrong but isn't film only 8-10 megapixels? Why would you buy a machine to convert 8 or 10 megapixels from film when he could just buy a digital camera and get 24 or 48?
Kodak‽
30k 😕
Orrrrrrrr an app
Wait the loop is both jarring on the first watch and on the loop. Device is fancy and interesting but might be the worst loop I’ve ever seen
This is terrible advice coming from a professional photographer who works with film and digital
Is it not worth it be honest
not everything needs to be a loop video
So Kodak is still exist...
And it costs as much as an iPhone.
$170?
The cost is wayy way to much
Its 180$$$
this scanner is trash, avoid it
The best way to do something is to buy an expensive purpose-built tool that does the exact thing you need to do? My god. Please. More life hacks.
Fastest*
I mean as op said it IS the fastest way not a best one. If you have a dslr you could use thatt with a macro lense. Or a general high quality scanner,(2700 dpi is the minimum)
That's such a dumb way to do a loop
These mini-scanners are complete garbage. You will absolutely not get 22 megapixels of resolution. You will get a 22 megapixel file that contains maybe 2 megapixels of actual resolution. You will be massively disappointed if you buy one of these.
And Do me a favor
Stop using the word "and"
at the beginning of a sentence.
That's annoying.
Wtf is film
cool but i don't have old films cuz i only born on 2001 so..
