  • The Cane Corso, a titan among canines, possesses a bite force comparable to a full-grown lion. It exhibits a powerful strength of 700 PSI. Sometimes they can be compared to a lion, Weighing over 150 pounds as the size of a sturdy oak tree and they are a force to be reckoned with. In a way, they can be equal to three human bodyguards.Their appearance instills fear in everyone who meets them. Heads held high like a crowned king, eyes keen like an eagle's, they command respect wherever they roam. The Cane Corso is a true symbol of majesty and strength, showcasing the best of dogdom.

Leader, these animals (Beings) if you have met even one of these creatures you don't even have to be very observevant and realize these are incredibly intelligent beings, did you notice that are bigger than most human beings, so kicking their butt to demonstrate leadership qualities does NOT really end well, good training early in their lives, makes all the difference! The biggest mistake huge dog owners can make is NOT to spend a lot time with them when they are relatively small and still malleable emotionally! Positive reinforcement! Reward good trainiiing with hugs and ear rubs and soomee good old scratches everywhere! I don't remember having to force my affection on them! But like you said these huge beings are NOT for everyone! Bad training, i.e., teaching said dog to attack anyone trespassing in their yard!

He was trained and his handler was trained. He had him 3 years i think. My friend came out of her office while the handler was in the hallway with the dog. They’re supposed to let everyone know when he has him. He’s trained to go after anyone that is in certain areas. He lunged, got her leg and didn’t let go. He bit into an artery and she almost bled out before she got help. It also crushed the bone. He was doing what he was trained to do. It was the handler’s fault for not announcing he was there. She was also there at a time she normally isn’t. A lot of factors. I was told she’d been bitten and felt bad. Then I was told she was in emergency surgery and it wasn’t looking good. I heard she’d been bit at work and felt bad. I had no idea she’d lost almost all of her blood and wasn’t given much of a chance of surviving. You know you hear someone got bit you don’t think they’ve airlifted them to a trauma center and they’ve got less than a 50% chance of surviving.
It was a long road for her. It was just a horrible situation. The same prison had put thousands into training a blood hound and found out that she was adhd and there was no way she’d ever be able to be a prison dog. She’d get on a scent and then go chase a rabbit 🐇. That was kinda funny that the state put that much money into her and in the end they let a gaurd adopt her as a pet.

It matters how they were trained. My wife and I were walking a woodland trail and came across a man walking two Corsos. Beautiful pups, about 150 pounds each. I asked are they friendly, he said sure, I said come here boys, they trotted over to me offering their heads for a scratch. As I petted the dogs I chatted with their dad and he was surprised that I was familiar with the breed.
I’m sure that if I had bad intentions on my mind the greeting would have been quite different.
    It’s all in the training.

When 12 years old she suddenly took ill. I had to ask a man who just happened to be walking by to help carry her to my car so I could get to the veterinarian because she was too heavy for me.
She died in my arms, (I was cradeling her head in my lap), from a heart attack. I miss her so much!!!

Yup, any large breed of dog like Doberman, Rottweiler, Pit Bull, Bloodhound,German Shepherd. etc... Can become a safety issue when in the hands of an owner who wants a guard/attack/fighting dog. Then improperly traines it to be one. Which is why Pit Bulls get such a bad rap. Many people think Pit Bulls are mentally somehow different than other dogs. As if they're mindless killing machines that bite out of sheer instinct like a shark. Or go psycho when they get a taste or scent of blood.
It's like if every irresponsible person & criminal wanted a 357 gun over other handgun types (like how they want/get Pit Bulls.) Then statistics would show that most gun crimes involve a 357. So by their skewed logic, they'd then think 357s are more dangerous than all other handguns & should be banned.

Gotta learn to observe and communicate and understand/interpret what you see! Dogs live to be a part of a pack! Some only answer to one person! @@iffibelieveinme2393Only being "terrifying" when needed to be is why they are such AMAZING PROTECTIVE GUARD DOGS!!!! I have been looking to get one for awhile now. I can't pay thousands for one n there's been way too many people on the internet trying to rip people off. I want to be able to go n see the puppy n decide if it's the one I want! I want to be able to buy the Cane Corso n bring it home myself. Not a lot of people breeding these Beautiful Creatures around where I am. I have 3 Boxers, they are the Love of my life, my Dad got me a Boxer growing up, n its a way I Love to keep all my memories of him n my son, who just adored our boxers, with me 24/7!!! I just hope the Cane Corso puppy will be great with them! I am always reading up on all info I can find on these Amazing Protectors! I would make sure the Cane Corso is properly trained!!

This breed is magnificent. I'm in awe of it, much like I am when looking at a lion. I have seen only one of those, a very well trained and properly socialized dog. Yet, I kept my distance because they are like a force of nature.

They are impressive indeed...if they may attack you at one point in time keep in mind they can't stop a knife blade or a bullet and never forget who's the human in the fight...they are fearless but humans dominate in the end...they can feel fear, so don't let yourself overpowered by fear...
