What paid off for Novak in the last two sets (besides a way better stamina) was his unusual very aggressive tactics in the first two sets. Musetti was outstanding defensively, but he was forced to way too much running and he paid the price in the end

@@initialize21 it's not just beating Musetti that this signifies. You see the sub-par results that Djokovic has had coming into the French. He lost to Tomas Machac just a few days ago. So for him to now compete and win a 5 set match at this level and under these circumstances is well understood by truly knowledgable tennis players/fans as an especially impressive accomplishment. It doesn't mean you have to now become a Djokovic fan but an intelligent follower of the sport should see this as more than him "just beating Musetti".
