    Just ordered a 2022 quick 6 for 525$ jush getting into biking so after watching your video I got one bedside I needed a starter bike. I’ve been riding for around 8 months. Around 60-75 miles a week on a mountain bike so I feel I’m doing good. Thanks for the videos!

    not very knowledgeable about bicycle specs. I rode my friends Quick 3 and it was awesome so I have been looking at them. However, I spotted a used Quik 4 in great condition for only $300. Wondering what the biggest difference between 3 and 4 is? What I liked about the Quick 3 was how light weight it felt, how smooth it was, and the smoothness in the gear shifting. I don't really care about how fast I can go on a bicycle. I like to be able to commute, be comfortable, have good shifting components, be safe, and be able to handle hills and moderate improvising to bumpy sidewalks or very light gravel or grass. Any thoughts on 3 vs 4?

    Thanks for the review on these models, locally, none of these are available at the moment where I live, in a 70 mile radius. One store mentioned they wont get any more Cannondales for the remaining year of 2021. Once I get mine, probably in 2022, have to look into apple airtags and see if that will work as an anti-theft / recovery option.

    • @bakerbrian41
      @bakerbrian41 4 года назад +2

      Blazer433 yes, I’ve ridden it twice so far for a total of 20 miles. It’s lightweight and shifts smoothly, coasts exceptionally well and the saddle is comfortable to me. I would have preferred the dark grey because I feel the blue is a little feminine but on the other hand it has better visibility in lower light. I added a kickstand, phone holder and water bottle cage. Overall I’d say it’s a good, high quality bike that is perfect for my needs. If I was commuting with my bike or using is as a messenger I would probably go up a level to get more gears and a carbon fork. But for fitness rides and rides with my wife and son it’s perfect.

    Sadly the prices of the bikes increased, due to Covid. Quick 6 is 575 as an example.

      Just got my wife the 2021 Quick 5 today. The price tag said $725 but luckily the employee helping me was honest and said at the time they bought it for $619 so that’s what you’ll pay.

      I paid around $600 for my urban xcape about 3-4 years ago and it was worth it. You get what you pay for kinda thing. I’ve done the $150-200 bikes and always regretted it.

      I bought a very similar Cannondale 25 years ago for I'm guessing $450. Considering inflation i'm amazed Cannondale has been able to keep the prices so low over the years. My frame was made in the USA, not sure where they are made now.

    Is there a lot of differences in between the 2020 and 2021 models? Currently looking at a Quick 4 2020 to be exact.
    I had a quick 5 2021 that I loved, but had to return because it was slightly to large of a size :( so hoping to replace soon.

    good review of the Quick model specs. It appears that this "fitness" bike would be good as a "gravel" / dirt road bike , as are most mountain bikes with the right tires. Not sure of any benefit to the Quick 4 with 1 x gearing , perhaps only for riders who are not understanding that no front derailleur means half the gears and a wider jump between most shifts , meaning less of what you have gears on a bike for. Thanks

    Seeking clarification please. Why are the Quick 2 and Quick considered more geared toward the "flat bar - road bike" customer. It's just because of the higher quality crankset, right?

    • @ChrisEnockson
      @ChrisEnockson  4 года назад +1

      These bikes are typically more road bike oriented due to the gearing of the bike as well as the price and component level. They are still recreational bikes but appeal to a more serious crowd who may have already owned a basic fitness hybrid and are looking to upgrade to the next level of performance. The average new rider might not understand the price difference as the benefits will not necessarily be apparent to them.

    I had a 2018 Quick 3 with the Sora gearing that is similar to the now Quick 2 and let me tell you it was fucking trash. Didn't work well and made a clunking noise straight from new, adjustment didn't help at all. I loved the geometry and riding posture on that bike but the drivetrain was so bad I wouldn't buy it again. I sold it and bought a Canyon Roadlite with Ultegra drivetrain for 300 euros more.
