You guys really are sensitive to spice,, I mean almost everywhere you go if it has a chili or sprinkle of cayenne you feel the need to mention or highlight it when describing food, I mean no offense but I would say a large percentage of Americans are fine with spicy and if you want to add in the world population percentage I would probably say there are more people on the planet that like spicy than not. Just an opinion .
The creator of this place is Mr.Chalermchai Kositpipat, the famous Thai neotraditional artist originated from Chiangrai province. The temple itself is his lifetime effort to create the 1st unique neotradition bhuddhist art for our beloved King Rama IX. In another building near temple is an art gallery. If you have more time it won't gonna disappoint you for sure.
NEW subbie 🤗 you two are so sweet ! I'm literally watching all your episodes back to back ❤ I'm Cambodian but was born in New Zealand x keep up the good work x
The white temple is called the Wat Rong Khun, it is built by a local artiste called Chalermchai Kositpipat, and the art work on the temple roof and walls is his signature work. We had visited this temple a few years ago. Nice video! Safe travels🌹
No you wouldnt, i travelled to Hua Hin in 2014, i trained and fought in a local gym. there are many gyms that would let you train its a massive thing in Thailand, or atleast try and go to see the fights in a local stadium. Keep up the good work on the videos !
Pretty cool! I think you even got a little visit from a genuine Thai lady-boi during your dinner. ;-) How exciting! I would have killed myself to go see the show at the club they were promoting.
Nice vlog, guys! Fun stuff, B+ for edit, but storytelling is getting the A-. Thx for bringing us all along on The Adventure! Enjoy the friendliest country in the world!
Welcome! White Temple is the one of the biggest artwork complex in Thailand that we all are really proud of. It’s the masterpiece by Thai national contemporary artist “Chalermchai” who devoted his lifetime and effort to create this great place, inspired by nation, buddhism and the king. You can see every details in the temple were fine artworks even public WC. This is not only Thai property but humankind’s heritage. So please preserve it well.
The owner of this project is not a business man but he is one of the Thai most famous artist and used his own money to build this temple to dedicated to the Buddhism. The construction until today still on going. Not yet done as you can see the tall tower behind the hall still not yet finish and a few years back, this temple was damaged from the earthquake and he need a lot of money to rebuild it again by collecting the money from tourists so don't be so stingy not to pay just less than USD 2 (THB 50)for your visit. Thank you
I'm ordering Thai take away food tonight after watching this. 😁. It won't be as good as the real thing, but.... Also, the locals want photos with Nikita cos he's so tall.
I just wanted to get there! What a place White Temple is, one of the most beautiful I've seen in this channel, unbelievable .... And Nikita 😍. Thai hot pot looked stunning, I'm looking for a recipe to reply at home, I love hot and spicy flavors, a simple taste could be amazing.
Been hooked on your vlogs since Cuba (newbie here haha) and I just want to say you guys are so fun to watch! If you’re ever passing through Oregon I’d love to meet up with you guys for a sweet hike or something!
That would be wonderful! Nikita lives up near Portland so we've been talking about visiting him there soon, and we're always down for a hike! So glad you're enjoying the adventures 🙌
The white temple was hit by the earth quake from Myanma a few years ago, that cause the temple wracked. The temple has been closed for a while for repairing.
The most famous waterfall in Chiangrai is Nam-Tok-Khun-Korn and, you have to ask people with that word. Sometimes, a gps map is not a good friend. Have a nice trip! from Thais fan. :)
Wat Rong Khun has a meaning in it. White colour = Purity of Buddha The Bridge = The journey from the human soul that has many sins to Nirvana land of peaceful and happiness Demon and ugly creatures = Passion, demand and desire which are obstacle to Nirvana The middle of the bridge = Phra Sumen mt. Holy lotus : has 4 each = Charn Charn 1 = Pra Sodabun Charn 2 = Pra Sageetakamee Charn 3 = Pra Anakamee Charn 4 = Pra Orahun The ladder : 3 steps = impermanence, suffering and not self
The people who are approaching you to take pictures with you are almost certainly tourists from China. It's a weird "thing" that they do: getting their pictures taken with "foreigners". I'm not exactly sure why, especially since Westerners are not an uncommon sight in China. In any case, I've never heard of a Thai doing this.
thats odd, i went to vietnam a couple of years ago, which is far less touristy than thailand and not once did anyone ask for pictures. there was one moment in a resturant and the staff were giggling and staring at us, probably the only awkard moment i had lol
Interesting, we've had quite a few people take pictures. And a lot of children like to say "hello" and "goodbye" to us and wait for us to say it back to them. It's pretty darn adorable :)
strongly recommend getting a guide (They're really inexpensive) to explain the sites, more so in SEA. its certainly educational and if you're so inclined, will prevent you from sounding dumb.
Taking pictures with Caucasian or other foreign people is a very Asian thing. Happened to us in Japon, with Singaporians (is it the right word? not sure about it) and in Thailand too. Apparently in the White Temple there is a big mural with famous people from the current pop culture.
Thai Hot Pot Actualy it call " Chim-Chum" ( thai : จิ้มจุ่ม ) .... Chim Chum mean you stab and dip the foods or anything you want to eat into the clay pot .
Nikita has a number of the qualities that Asians find attractive in Westerners. He'd get the same treatment in China. Sorry, Eric, you're not an Asian's notion of the ideal Westerner.
OMG! We just heard about Stranger Things (which is officially out now, I think)! The plan is to wait and watch it on our flight back to London in a couple weeks...we'll be on the flight for 14 hours and we can't think of a better way to spend the time than binge watching it :D
Eric my dear!!! Please examine your use of "random" !!! The so-called "random" rest stop for example is, in fact, quite intentional and well established! You randomly CHOSE it as a stopping place... think adverb not adjective! Sent with love...

OMG I've totally eaten there! Loved that place and the cocktails in that area were fantastic too.
Awesome! It was all so yummy :)
Really enjoying your Thai trip. Towards the end of this one the audio seemed to slip out of sync which was a little disconcerting.

A little hint of heat ;)
Khao Soi Gai -- so good, northern Thai specialty!!
Oh ya, it's by far one of our favorite Thai dishes now!
Awesome 👀📽️👍👍👍👍📽️
Miss Khao Soi , so delicious
Another great video... One good thing with spicy hot food, it will kill any bad bacteria in you gut .... Are you able to drink the water there?
Haha, I guess that's a pretty good plus! And yes, most places boil the water before serving it to you, so it's been fine :)
That church is BEAUTIFUL!
Bunchy Bunch its a Temple or wat
I'm ordering Thai take away food tonight after watching this. 😁. It won't be as good as the real thing, but.... Also, the locals want photos with Nikita cos he's so tall.
Yesss! Eat all the thai food :)
Nikita could very well be mistaken for Pedro Pascal/Javi Pena from Narcos
I just wanted to get there! What a place White Temple is, one of the most beautiful I've seen in this channel, unbelievable .... And Nikita 😍. Thai hot pot looked stunning, I'm looking for a recipe to reply at home, I love hot and spicy flavors, a simple taste could be amazing.
Haha both the temple and Nikita are definitely beautiful 😉 let us know how the at-home hot pot goes!

I think those people were harvesting tea at the seven minute mark?? I think tea grows on bushes right!? lol
Another excellent vlog, perhaps you should sell Nikita selfies :-)
Fantastic idea!! 😂
Nikita looks like Brazilian football player who played for Chiang rai united team before. Maybe they think he is him. ^ ^
Definitely could be! I guess we'll never know! 😂

The white temple is still under construction, that's why that back building isn't as ornate.... yet.
Don't miss the flower market in Chiang Mai and then cross the bridge for riverside dining.

LitzysDelight hot pot you should eat in China or Taiwan.
Both China and Thailand have their own unique taste but Thai hot pot is more spicy.
CLOUD322 you are right. In every Asia country you can find hot put but the idea is from Chine I would say. Any way exploring food is great😋
Wat Rong Khun has a meaning in it.

The random photo thing happened to us quite a few times while we were in SE Asia! Sooo awkward because they don't explain why!
Haha exactly! And half the time we think they're asking us to take their picture 😂 it's all pretty funny and confusing!
