Caleb I just wanted to say the episodes have been particularly great lately. I love a crazy guest, but there was a period where they were a little _too_ crazy. But recently you’ve been on a great run of guests who were unhinged enough to be entertaining but not so unhinged that nobody can relate. It’s a hard balance to strike but you’re nailing it!
@@CalebHammer Hey Caleb I just saw your Instagram. Congratulations on your engagement to your girlfriend a.k.a. your new fiancee. Happy for you both. Best wishes. 🙂
These older guests are the most valuable on the show. We learn the most from them and are living proof of what can happen if you are financially illiterate.
I was a little out of that Caleb waved off a lot of the health stuff. Medical bills are the cause of a lot of financial distress. A LOT of people in their 40s+ have these problems. I feel like this guy has mental health issues too, depression and avoidance. He seems like he just gave up. No doubt he's lacking life skills and is making poor choices, for sure.
@@romeysiamese6662no, if you live frugally and don’t make dumb choices you WILL be fine. There is definitely room for that and yes even in the “expensive “ states like CA.
its important to get your stuff together but you ain't living tru the great leap forward, or a stalin gulag like era, being a slave in America, that stuff literally happened less than a century ago. It's crazy; our only fears are that we just want to have enough money. and people around the world live in way worse conditions than being broke in America.
My uncle was exactly like this man. He died at 58 in a Wendy’s parking lot while he was living in his car. My mom looked through his statements and all of his money was spent on gas station bs and fast food. He took advantage of everyone around him and lived a miserable life. I hope this episode was a wake up call for him. If not I hope someone else realizes they need to get their shit together and live the life they deserve.
The man explained he battled addiction, key word battled. Why is battle the word used because the war never ends. Your uncle also probably struggled from the same affliction and all you care about is his finances? He’s gone, dead in a Wendy’s parking lot not due to money but due to the life long battle with the disease of addiction, 95% lose the war at some point so maybe have some compassion for these poor humans, alcohol is a widely accepted practice almost everywhere, do you think he chose to become addicted to alcohol? No, no one chooses that, once you meet the devil and realize how insidious he is your not choosing anything anymore you now have to battle those demons daily just to survive. All these comments are sick, no compassion for humans struggling as slaves. You have no idea how lonely and depressing it is to struggle to even FEEL normal! Money means nothing it’s paper, did your uncle take his finances with him after he died? No because it’s meaningless, grieve for the poor man that lost the war. The brain is a prison cell so scary that some people would rather just end it , that’s what the disease wants to kill you any way it can. Maybe go back and rethink your post because it’s sad money was a prime care you had, because money means nothing once we pass. Have compassion for people and maybe you’ll become a better human being. Also this man clearly is still struggling with the mental aspect of his addiction and I hope he’s alive in half a year, the feeling of losing everything coupled with his past is a very very dangerous mix, Caleb I wish knew more about addiction and could see this guy is clearly struggling bad and needed help like atleast get him therapy. The man was very polite while being shit on and told how much of a failure he is, it was a bit too much, if you rewatch the video you can see the addiction taking over his responses in the beginning, deflecting and coming up with excuses until Caleb broke him down a little to much for my liking, you have to be careful when dealing with with a fragile mind. I truly hope this guy continues to fight and not let the disease take his life.
Loooooool money isn't meaningless in a capitalist society. Even if thats your philosophy you still have to contend with reality.@thecrimsomcardyugioh9810
@@thecrimsomcardyugioh9810if you dont want to be broke then you have to quit! I went through addiction and am doing absolutely fine now! I have 10 grand saved and would never go back to using. Also when i was an addict i paid for myself and never used others for drug money! Thats a reason people dont want addicts around cause they lie and steal and cry about the battle of addiction all while living off of someone elses hard earned dollar! Thats why people have no compassion for them cause you can only take so much! Sometimes you have to grow the fuck up! I paid for my addiction while working and sadly taking care of 2 kids. If i was sick then that was my fault i never stole or bugged others for cash and i went to work no matter what. Sometimes people baby those with addiction when they need a swift kick in the lazy ass and no more excuses. Stop babying addicts it wont change a damn thing.
Same, I like seeing the ones that come on the show in their 40s and up. Even 30s. Lots of them make mistakes anyone could make if they don't know much about finances.
I haven't gotten far into the episode but I have a feeling he's waiting for retirement to happen to him instead of actually planning for it and waiting for his parents to die and hoping he gets some inheritance.
You know that's the real reason he's on here, right? It's not to get his finances in order, it's publicity for him. Granted, not good publicity, but still puts him on screen
Same $5k I’ll have $1.5k left for car repairs and living expenses. Why is this guy even on here? He completely clueless and has an excuse for everything and delusions of grandeur. Not that I’m doing any better but at least I’m not clueless and know why I’m in the spot I’m at.
For as WILD as this episode sounds to younger folks, as a 44 year old I can tell you life comes at you fast. Taking the easy way out, making bad decisions and putting things off, all stack up. Not to mention the events that can’t be planned. You look up and you’re in your 40s wondering WTF happened with your life. The moral: wake up, make goals, check in on goals, make plans for success or else life will just march on by.
Also - so much easier to sacrifice when you’re in your early 20’s, hustle and work those extra jobs (because you’re not tired) and while you don’t have quite so many responsibilities…trust those of us that didn’t and are now learning and paying for it!!
Not to mention he’s still battling his addiction, a disease that is trying to kill you every day of your life. I’m sad Caleb couldn’t see the signs but he’s never dealt with it but he does mention towards the end that it sounds like he’s still using his addictive ways to find the littlest happiness and it’s sad but it’s reality alcohol is a substance that claims most addicts and recovering from it is extremely hard, I wish Caleb would’ve gotten this man therapy because his financial issues scare me and an addicted mind is dangerous when you feel you’ve lose it all. Also a lot of the comments are just plain evil no compassion for someone so obviously struggling, it’s not that he’s a child or lazy or a loser, people don’t understand the demons you battle daily just to survive. Really wish Caleb was nicer to him I hope he’s still here in half a year but he’s sinking fast. Have compassion for people guys you have no idea what it is like to be a slave to a substance and once you get clean realizing you’ll always have to fight every hour of every day to survive, the battle is never over and I hope this man gets help
Dude had a lot of people’s dream gig (full time streaming) at an age where most people have given up on their creative dreams. Then he threw it away to not even really try that hard at pursuing acting. Which he also could’ve done while streaming. Especially if he gained influence as a streamer. Any 8-10 hour job is going to suck sometimes, but like..was streaming rpgs for thousands of dollars a month really worse than being broke or working a shit job?
@@cheesehead6352fr like I understand if he doesn’t have motivation it can be boring but still 5-6k as a streamer is really good this guy could probably increase that amount if he didn’t quit for so long and as you said ITS STREAMING no editing or need to look through hours of footage and audio to make a video
Given what he said about course careers, I suspect not. I would love it if guests said if they or someone else nominated them for the show as part of the intro.
@deniss.6205 I think it's drinking, but everything else tends to come along with drinking sometimes, like drugs, prescribed meds, gambling, smoking, sometimes people substitute one for the other, etc there's also depression aswell that would come along with that. It's not a nice place to end up❤
FedEx ground works for sub contractors and not for fedex, no benefits, and paid by the day, not hourly FedEx Express works for FedEx express, gets benefits, hourly, and doesn’t deliver heavy boxes to my knowledge
I know a lot of express drivers that hated there job but stay for the benefit... Former FedEx Office employee.. that wasn't fun either but we got air-conditioning right.. I made sure it was always on 😅😂
Caleb needs to have an addiction coach on his team because a lot of the people who come on aren't going to change unless they deal with their addictions first
The problem is more addiction you have or had the hard life will be addiction male life suck don’t get addicted listen when people say no don’t do it it best shot 😮😅
Caleb, For the first time in my adult life, I'm currently saving up an emergency fund and making real progress on credit card debt! Been watching for a few months and your videos have been such a positive influence, I can't thank you enough for waking me up to what's important!
@@FutureDreamZz Yeah, i had a retirement i didnt even know about that has 17k in it. Apparently I had been contributing to it the 5 years I worked there and didn't know about it until I left and got a letter in the mail years later hahaha.
Caleb does a really good job of trying to get to the root of someone’s problem and their behavior. shows that he really cares about them instead of being like, “here’s your budget, off you go.” Like he really wants to see people change and do well for themselves
His jumping around from thing to thing might be from addiction. My dad is 60 and we moved every 6-12 months growing up and he’s worked every kind of job you could ever think of. He’s got zero retirement and he’s getting sober due to some major health issues. It’s tough to watch. But he answers my FaceTime every morning with a positive attitude to talk to me and his only grandchild. I wish my dad would have been able to get sober and stick to something in his 40s. This guy still has time!
Caleb, episodes like this are the great ones. You called him out on his bullcrap with tough love, but did it in a very calm matter that didn’t feel fake. You also explained why his mistakes were bad instead of just insulting him and moving on. I personally feel episodes like this feel more real, and aren’t just a dramatic display.
I also understand that you are the one with a successful RUclips channel, not me. But I do know you care about improving and seek constructive criticism. So I figured I’d give you my thoughts.
I think its also this guest. He’s more pleasant and while he makes poor choices, he doesn’t feel or act like a bad guy. He knows he’s made mistakes and shows he’s embarrassed rather than doubling down. This guy is receptive to tough love so Caleb doesn’t have to yell quite as much to get through to him.
I do appreciate when he's less insulting/ridiculing people, and more constructive and understanding. Obviously some people here need some blunt reality checks, but no need to pile on shame more than they're already feeling. Great job Caleb!
Agreed! The young girl in the episode the other day just got lots of yelling and one line explanations about compounding interest and the S&P500 which she quite obviously didn’t understand… I wish he always skewed more towards education over anger
Dudes almost 50 and still relying on his parents to support him 🤦🏽♀️ Men like this will never grow up. He’s probably been bailed out by mommy & daddy his entire life.
Listen to his problems and you will understand. And who cares how society is treating you just do you. Some stuff you will understand as you get older. This guy didn’t
It’s a common symptom of addiction, it’s called severe depression. I hope he hasn’t given up because that usually means one thing when addiction is involved, I hope he keeps fighting no matter how many times the disease knocks him on his ass and I hope he reaches out for professional help not a RUclips channel that’s mainly for entertainment. Maybe listen to the video and understand what’s going on
"That's a little harsh." No it isn't! You're a grown ass man about to be 50 and you're still reliant on your elderly parents income! Not because of extenuating circumstances, but because you chose to give up a real job to Uber and Doordash, cashed out your 401K to play video games (and then stopped doing that when you could have actually made decent money), and now you're sitting on your ass waiting for the acting fairy to give you a role! Everything about this guy screams "I never grew up past high school." and I'm only 20 minutes in.
It's a concept called arrest development. Some people who get into addiction at a very young age are literally stuck in that age mindset due to the effect addiction has on your brain. I've seen it with friends and family. It's super sad.
Exactly right! I'm almost 40 with 4 kids and it would terrify me to my core to be in his position. I was homeless 10yrs ago and picked apples to get off the streets. It's really just a matter of working any job, the bare minimum. But he chooses to be on the brink of homelessness.
@@denariusagevery Walmart you can make close to 40k on overnights starting out, possibly over if it’s a nicer area the starting pay tends to be hire. TLs make like $4-5/hr more and they always new TLs and if he can it to the coach level around year 5-10 it’s not super hard in terms on work, it’s a management role and they make like 60-70k a year before bonuses.
@@pinkandjewels I know what you're saying, but what I see in all the people that come on his show knowing they're gonna get spanked is, their STUBBORN rationalizing of their behavior and bad choices. If you're familiar with addicts, you probably know that they won't get clean and stay clean until they really want to and want it more than anything. They quit the "yeah buts" and take accountability, even when their brains have been affected, work against them and every cell in their body wants the drugs/alcohol.

although his financial situation is quite dire, I do very much respect this guys demeanour and his ability to take the criticism without getting crazily defensive, wishing you the best in the future my dude
Gaming and taking acting roles? C'mon, no one with a brain would think that's a viable option. "Ya gotta follow your dreams" is code for "I'm going to just be lazy and do whatever I want regardless of consequences".
When you’re in recovery, it is so so easy to slip into bad habits, even without using the old substances. This is really sad to see someone who has been able to maintain their sobriety, recognized that the financially stable job they had streaming was starting to threaten their sobriety so left it behind, but is now living a life that parallels (income wise) what people in active addiction live. I hear him saying things I literally said in the months right before I got clean & it genuinely is heartbreaking. This is a strong reminder that active recovery requires us to be conscious of much more than just staying clean!! I want to see this guy figure it out & get back to LIVING life, not just struggling to survive. ❤
agreed, I normally dont feel bad for alot of these guests but this guy seems like a genuine and honest guy that fell into past bad habits and is now struggling to fully come to terms with everything. His constant "Thats a little harsh", "Its not that bad", and on top of all the stuttering scream denial and cope to me
Someone with an addictive personality needs stability. An acting career is the opposite of that. Dude needs to be grateful he got out alive and do things to support his sobriety like having a stable job. Acting can be a hobby
@@SwimSweetie100 I understand your statement but I’m not sure it’s fair to say acting isn’t possible for someone in recovery to succeed at. I feel like he has potential too, considering his past success streaming on Twitch. I could see him struggling with his last job & his back issues-in recovery we try to not use narcotics to manage pain and he was likely at a point where that was probably a serious issue when he got the opportunity to do an acting gig and saw it as his way out. Unfortunately, until one is established in that profession, it is highly irregular and it can be difficult for some people to find a more stable job that they enjoy and thrive in. It can be a difficult balance. He needs to get on Medicaid-if Texas doesn’t still have the arcane restrictions for individuals to receive that benefit-and seek treatment from a therapist. That can help him figure out his goals and a plan that will work for him with his needs.
@@carlycaye90 I think rephrasing it into something more like "You can live a fulfilling life even when working a job you don't love. There are other things that matter in life and you can spend time outside of work on focusing on that, and it will be easier when you have the money to do so, and feel secure and not stressed out". Sounds way more motivational and inspiring.
I think one guest actually had one over 700% before. But yes...this one is just about as unhinged. 'Course....I would expect nothing less from a dude who would cash out their 401k for a goddamn PS5.🤦🏽♂
This guy is what I think of when Americans say immigrants come in taking our jobs! No they are taking jobs you don't want to do. Or are too lazy to do.
He SWORE up and down he’d never taken out a payday loan till recently. 40 mins in we find out he took one out 12 years ago and says “… but that was only once or twice.”
This is a perfect example of what Dave Ramsey says, “Finances are a symptom of something bigger.” This man needs medical and mental help. Unfortunately, this is not going to help him until he gets serious about his life.
He could be put in the body of a healthy 20 year old and erase addiction from his past and he still would just be a man child who when confronted with leaching off his elderly parents made excuses. Spends a year doing nothing and still wants to main character syndrome chase an acting career
After like 3 insufferable episodes i could hardly get through this felt like a pallet cleanser. This man is throwing away his life but hes being honest and truthful about what he’s doing. Sounds like video games just replaced his addiction and good for him for coming on the show to better himself now.
Yea, when the guest is at least honest, I can give them respect for that. Dude was a drug addict so not much of this is surprising. When Caleb said quitting his job was the ‘biggest mistake of his life’ I laughed. Drugging into addiction is far worse
@@SwimSweetie100The lady from Monday was flat-out unflinchingly honest. She said she didn't really work, and she was constantly stealing from her mom. She also didn't care at all that she was a thief. In fact, she seemed almost proud of it, really. I don't think she really wanted to change, either. I don't see her any less honest than thus guy. He's taking from hus folks in the same way, except they can't afford $200,000.
He's kind of likeable and seems responsive, that's what gets us through. But are we sure he wants to get better and not jump start his acting career? (Hoping he does)
“So I chose the adult activity of MAKING MONEY” 😂😂 Really, this show is so motivating. I’m about to start working two jobs to get myself out of debt as quick as possible and I don’t think I would have made that decision if it wasn’t for financial audit
Caleb, this was an amazing episode. You are direct and honest but also caring. The editing was also impressive, thank you for your high quality work. As for your guest, It is painful to watch someone self sabotage their life over and over and then jot take responsibility for their choices. To the guest: if you’ve already had a bowel resection then you must take care of your health! If you don’t want to wind up with a full ostomy please eat health (make a sandwich!), drink lots of water, and at least walk a little every day. Congrats on your sobriety, but Caleb is right that you must be aware when you are trading one addiction for another (video games, acting instead of having paid employment). If you truly love acting, you can still have a full time paid job with benefits and do community theater at night. Lots of people do this! Best of luck to you.
@@amoose8439he probably has undiqgnosed ADHD. Impulsive behaviour, bored fast, chasing dopamine and a history of substance abuse on top of being a creative person. This guy needs therapy and medication so he can stick to a budget.
Big time. Seems he was in AA, hot sober, but didn’t continue with the program thinking that was all the battle. Now he can’t recognize his new addictive behaviors and set goals to fix the root of what he was using drugs to run from so now he runs from it with games, chasing dreams, retail therapy, self pity/loathing etc. i really hope he recovers eventually.
Agree, wish Caleb offered him therapy or inpatient, he’s chasing the small dopamine rush with money at this point is sub conscious, it’s why in the beginning you can hear the addiction speaking by deflecting or making excuses and later he owns up but I feel Caleb was a bit too tough love on this guy, this guy has to battle his own mind to stay alive every day, and Caleb just didn’t see the signs sadly. I hope all the best for him and I hope he keeps fighting, his money issues do scare me to the bone though not because he’ll lose worldly possession but because when recovering addicts go down that road most don’t make it out with thier lives.

yeah im 26 im still in a depression from 6 years ago, i smoke weed all night sleep late wake up late yet i get up everyday of the week and work to pay for bills that dude aint got no excuse
I know a lot of people are hating on this man, for good reasons, but I think people should realize something before judging. This is what depression looks like in the early to mid stages. There is an underlying issue here that is keeping him from being able to recover. That is why he is making no sense during this episode. The drinking and drugs from before were a coping mechanism. He feels like a failure and nothing Caleb has said is going to help him. I was in a similar situation for 10 years before I finally got my ass in gear by going to the doctor then I finally went to therapy that got me on a better path. Its so frustrating for someone on the outside of this. His excuses are his attempt to be kind to himself because if he faced his failures he would probably unalive himself.
becasue this clown is just judging him..tha thelps nobopdy..while this Caleb guy might be in a better financial situation hes a youtuber its not a job.. not to me anyway..anyone can film what they do all day but not everyone dedicates every moment of their life to make money.. some peopel jsut dont care.. greed is a sin
With his age the best roles he can get are bit roles (that don't pay well) since he has very little acting experience. The most he can get are supporting roles in indie films.
Kind of fees like he just hates working and came up with a “dream” to fit that. I don’t get the vibe he wakes up every day thinking about acting. He probably wakes up every day thinking “frick I don’t want to work I wish I could be rich and famous”
I just don’t get the quiting your job part. You can dream and be strategic to try and reach your goals but this dude went all in with zero plan. Beyond ridiculous and irresponsible. Based on his history of not paying taxes etc, he is just an irresponsible person overall
I fear for this guy after this episode. He is depressed, going through a tough time, he is being call out publicly and an alcoholic. Please know you are valuable and it doesn’t matter the situation you can turn around and always start again. I wish you the best.

Similar story here. My younger brother is homeless and in and out of prison. These are his choices in life. We no longer get involved in trying to help him.
I always wonder about this, but then realize until you are put in the situation where you either eat or take that stupid loan, i'm sure that's why they do it. Otherwise no sane person would take those.
@@youtubasoarus absolutely the hell not. anyone halfway-decently educated on how predatory payday loans are would go hungry before borrowing money from them

Shhhhh ain’t no one want to admit that the majority of problems are self induced when it comes to finances. There are homes where I live for 250k for 3-4 bedrooms and 1500-1800 sq ft. @@malirkYou obviously didn’t listen to the man explain his past. He’s a recovering addict. Notice the words recovering, spoiler you never recover, you will always be recovering, so ya you make fun of him for buying wings but what if those wings was the small happiness he got that day that stopped him from either relapsing or taking his life? You don’t understand what substances do to the brain, it robs you of all normal enjoyments and those wings were a small fleeting dopamine hit, something most of you take for granted because your brains work correctly releasing dopamine throughout the day, if you really listen you can hear he’s struggling, took 2 years off to just play games? That’s lingo for suffered severe depression for 2 years, I’m glad he came out of it but the brain of an addict it’s totally different from a normal non abuser, the receptors get fried and grey matter spreads, so most small things like eating out at your fav restaurant will keep most people satisfied for days after, a addict will get a small dopamine rush that maybe lasts for the meal and it’s gone. He clearly is struggling all his financial behaviors are key addictive behaviors but a lot of people even addicts think once they’ve come off the orginal substance that they’ll be fine but the truth is you will be an addict for as long as you live and it’s a daily battle to stay sane, I’m worried for this man his financials are going down hill fast and the disease of addiction doesn’t need the original substance to kill you, I’m worried he’ll feel surrounded and want out and the disease will kill yiu by any means necessary, the substance or your own hands. I wish Caleb would’ve gotten him therapy or helped him in some way, and it’s sad to see so many people in the comments ripping into this man when they have no idea what’s going on inside. I hope he’s around in half a year and doing better, life is MUCH more precious then any amount of money or items, all that can be replaced a human life once taken can not, so please have some compassion guys. Unless you’ve been through the hell of addiction you have 0 clue what it’s like to be a literal slave and then fight your own mind for the rest of your life knowing the disease wants to take your life.
Honestly, if I was continuing what I was doing in life, I would have probably ended up like this man whenever I reached his age. I pray that he is able to get a leg up in his situation and own it and come out on top. Because I have owned up to my faults and getting on the end of this debt ride by the end of a long year. Praying for you man.

I make 5K a month thats guaranteed and i only work half the month. But since watching this show i always thought i was better then all these guests. Just went through my bank statements and i spent 1100$ last month on delivery. Definitely a problem i will be addressing. Thanks for the episodes Caleb
Move to the country! Uber Eats and DoorDash do not exist around here…also, I never really eat take out…Maybe once a month when the wife and I go to the big city, we might go to a restaurant…Also, just to get to a Walmart or grocery store, it’s a good 30-45 minutes away…You’ll ask yourself, “do I want a cupcake, maybe some jerky? Well, it’s not in the house, and I am not driving 2 hours round trip for that mess” and it has allowed me to save so much money haha
@stayhopeful7697 absolutely agree before I moved away for this job I saved almost all of my money because delivery didn't exist. I am addicted to convience reallt
Just some good news. I got a better paying job in Oct and in Jan this year decided I was gonna attack my finances and debts. So in May I paid off a $2500 debt🎉 and am on track to pay off my $3k credit card debt by Dec! Now that I’ve found this channel it’s motivated me even more and I’m so glad I decided when I did to work on my finances! Lesson learned, the minimum payment does absolutely NOTHING. I had been paying the minimum for YEARS and that interest was tearing my ass up and barely moved the amount. 😒
Hearing "you are my greatest fear sitting across from me" from someone who's genuinely trying to help you has got to be heartbreaking, like how do you come back from that o.O
I can relate to this guy (a little) Besides my parents, my whole family tree is mostly career criminals and drug addicts. So I can recognize a lot of issues this guy has stems from his addictions, but its still his responsibility to overcome those damages Caleb's rant at the end almost had me in tears, thinking that after everything life buries you under you still have a chance. That's all I ever wanted for me and mine. Just a chance. This guy needs to GRIND that uber job(all day in that car) or find an overnight job that leaves his days open. Even if he takes a break from auditioning for six months, thats not gonna kill what little he gained. Commercial roles will still be there. Good luck bro, and remember NOTHING CHANGES IF NOTHING CHANGES and IT WORKS IF YOU WORK IT AND YOU'RE WORTH IT!!!!
They never realize that the person scrubbing toilets at Walmart is doing that for reasons beyond self fulfillment. That's bananas. No one works in Satan's basement like that because it's their passion. They're there because they want to eat and have a place to sleep.
Why though? You are on this planet for a blink of an eye! Why spend 60 percent of your life hating what you do in hopes at the end of it you will get to enjoy 15-20 years! That is not what life should be about! It’s so sad we our taught from pre-school on to get in line, do what they say, if you don’t like it to bad do it anyway! They call it the school to prison system for a reason. Go live life, get a van and live it, travel and see the country and so on. When we are just dust, nothing matters but the memories we made before we went to sleep forever! Stop being a sheep, brake the chains off!
That''s not what the pipeline to prison is. The pipeline to prison is the idea that schools are so bad, kids go right to actual prison soon after they graduate because all they learned in school was how to be a delinquent, and no one taught them to read or do math in the 13 years they were in school. No one said you can't work a 40 hour work week and still live a great fufilled life outside of work. Thay's how it is supposed to work. Jobs pay for the hobbies and past times that fuel passions. I suspect he might know Dutch as it becomes a play on words then , the Dutch word loont (pronounced loant) means to pay off, so that would be a play on words meaning Payday loans pay off
Same. I’m very surprised he’s still sober - good for him. You can tell he’s very sad and disappointed in himself. I hope he can get back to work and find some satisfaction in the struggle. It’s the journey!!
This was a really nice change of pace from the steady flow of literal children that just want to be on RUclips. He prob isn't super relatable to a lot of the audience right now, but I think you did a solid job of laying out how anybody could end up in that position if they stop caring.
The problem is Caleb is exactly what this guy needs. Someone needs to yell at this guy and say “no you can’t do this”. Life is hard you have to have goals. Wake up everyday and want more. Have the drive to get what you want and to the next step. But that’s just my opinion. I have a friend right now that was in a similar boat a couple years ago.
The good thing is, it's never too late to start taking control. You might want to reconsider your work strategy, perhaps finding a job that offers stable income and allows time for acting on the side. Keep striving, things can always take a turn for the better.

He looks and sounds like The Dude, and I love The Big Lebowski so much I can’t even be mad at him. If he’s actually a good actor he should look for Jeff Bridges type roles. It’s uncanny. Hope he stops mooching off his parents and gets it together

Turn around is fair play. Our retired elderly parents planned their entire lives around stealing from the working class when they retire.

I was a little out of that Caleb waved off a lot of the health stuff. Medical bills are the cause of a lot of financial distress. A LOT of people in their 40s+ have these problems.
I could die happy in a Wendy's parking lot.
Omg same with my uncle. Twins🥰. Well mine was in a laundry room and he had a heart attack

The moral: wake up, make goals, check in on goals, make plans for success or else life will just march on by.
life was so slow, then I turned 25. now I am suddenly 34. next week I'll be 45 probably -_-;
Also - so much easier to sacrifice when you’re in your early 20’s, hustle and work those extra jobs (because you’re not tired) and while you don’t have quite so many responsibilities…trust those of us that didn’t and are now learning and paying for it!!
Success leaves tracks 🐾 🐾
As another 44 year old I agree!!!!! And I worked my ass off, just wasn't smart with what I made. I'm definitely kicking myself now.

Me too me too
If he'd do it like "here's the budget off you go" there would be no money in it for him.
His jumping around from thing to thing might be from addiction. My dad is 60 and we moved every 6-12 months growing up and he’s worked every kind of job you could ever think of. He’s got zero retirement and he’s getting sober due to some major health issues. It’s tough to watch.

I could see the acting dream if he was 26, but he’s 46. At this point, it’s delusional. His elderly parents need protection from him.
I thought he was older than 46

When we are just dust, nothing matters but the memories we made before we went to sleep forever! Stop being a sheep, brake the chains off!
That''s not what the pipeline to prison is.
