Damn that Terminal Death is way ahead of its time, never heard of them. Thanks for that.
I finally got my copy of terminal death today- it’s awesome! I’m such a sucker for this stuff. It has as much in common with first wave black metal as it does death metal. A real sweet spot.
That Darkness video looks amazing! Looking forward to your interview with Miguel. Malokarpatan is my number one of the year. Such a masterpiece. Great video Ben!
Japanese DM is WILDLY missed. This Eroded demo is awesome. The Japanese scene really just make extreme music so uniquely. Gibbed, Transgressor (new and old), and Voidd, and Multiplex….all of them superior!
I’ve meant to go to extreme noise every time I’ve been in Minnesota. Haven’t done it yet for whatever reason. I grabbed a copy of that endless album blindbuying earlier this year. I really expected death doom, if really wasn’t but it was a decent record! Glad you guys the thy primordial LP. I figured you’d like to have a copy of that. That cathedral record isn’t something I visit much. Their debut dominates my moods for that band! I really gotta grab those mortiis vinyl repressings! 🍻
Podcast goes hard man! Nicely done! 🤝
That Malokarpatan is killer, thank you for sharing that. Cathedral! hahaha, Lee Dorian loves you now.
That Eroded demo sounds killer. Carbonized kind of stuff. Stoked you got the Dripping Decay, what a ripper and THAT COVER. Yes, mine did the same as yours - bad glue. Idolatry rules, such a cracking thrash album and that Morrisound production.
I will have to pull out my Carbonized album and maybe seek out the demos.
I loved the Justin Horval (J Dawg) cameo. Lol.
I came here for the modeling photo's of you!!
Like a neighborhood creep!
Idolatry is also probably my favorite thrash record of all time. Picked up that pre-Electric Wizard era disc sometime back but in jewel case form didn't realize it also came in digi. Progenie are a really good band, have one of their other releases, but now that you shown that one, gonna have to explore it too. Have to admit, rather surprised about your NY comment as you being from Iowa cost of living I'm sure is lower than say NJ or other states, thought NY would be a lot more polarizing for you, but I'd have to check out that record store next time I'm in the big apple, can't remember the last time I only spent $75 at a record store in one visit, haha.
looking forward to the Darkness tape!!!!
Its coming together nicely!
Love that new Malokarpatan record! I just talked about that album in my newest video.
I saw that! Nice work!
@@brainsmasher666 Thanks, dude! 🤘🏻
21:45 - "Godsend - As the Shadows Fall" from 1993 is Cathedral-ish doom metal with Swano on vocals.
Brainsmasher collection update is here to warm up the tummy on a cold night, like a homemade mug of hot chocolate - not some powdered bullsh!t. F@ck the man's powdered cocoa.
Fun fact - the cover of that Eroded cover is from an obscure German horror movie from 1976 called Bloodlust aka The Mosquito R@pist.
Oh awesome, I was wondering if it was James Earl Jones from Conan.
Hell yeah been listening to Mortify from Norway that 1995 demo rulessss!!!
I will have to give that a listen. Kvitrafn's first band, right?
@@brainsmasher666 oh yeah !!
I think you miss your old basement record collection room. Seeing as you're intro still shows it. Im assuming that was in the basement.
I definitely do miss it. One day we will be able to afford to remodel this basement to accomadate such a thing.
What song is the intro??
It says it in the intro xD
Fuckin UNHOLY!
