Hey there Luke. I am an old lady from Australia, I was looking at your vid about cheaper Mod podge. Then, I thought I wonder what Luke does with Mod podge, maybe flowers, newspaper crafts. Then I LOOKED and I thought, how much fun does this cheeky young man have. You are very clever. Makes my flowers and newspaper crafts look a little bland. I wish you well and hope you are happy and continue to achieve the art you are creating. Sherie Rodrigues from Australia. Bye 🌟😮
Look up Wyloch. He has an ongoing series on this exact topic. As does a fellow crafter of his going by, I believe, the dm engineer. Edit: it's the tabletop engineer, not dm engineer.
I did much the same for my MDF terrain for Necromunda. Black prime, light far off dusting of AP gun metal, and then a red brown prime for rust. A bit of orange stippled on with a brush.
Looking sweeeet! Nice to see you showing off the mars ground cover. I've been eyeing it up as a possible basing option for the imperial fists army I'm considering and I think I'm sold on it for when the time comes now. Great job, dude!
I luv luv luved this build! You make such simple techniques look awesome and far more complicated! Really enjoying these table builds, I have been thinking about making a table for my more most played games but just go blank. These vids give me focus and are really informative. Thanks!
I used red car primer as it is a great martian/rust red and CHEAP! It doesn't obscure any detail and is a good match to AP Chaotic Red so I've also used it to spray my Altansar Eldar models, but I originally got it for a Necromunda diorama which I wanted to have a Red Dwarf vibe and the red car primer was perfect, and under £4 i'm sure! Black ink wash and brush on some gunmetal wear and tear and Bob's your uncle as they say :P Love all your videos Luke keep on inspiring and creating your awesome terrain hacks and thanks for taking the time to show us :)
Luke there is a product that HUMBROL brought out for especially fixing weathering and it works like paint spray but it is expensive and maybe not for everyone. Reference the rusting effect, I'd use Vallejo basecoat mixed with various rusting effects and spray this on and leave it 24 hours to affix then as its meant to be on Mars and there are high solarwinds , ideally cover everything the model shows plus I'd bank up side surfacing with sand and grit so it shows weathering at force. Cheers mate .
I spit my drink out at the "gator glue" part; we have "gorilla glue" here in the States. I dunno if one is a copy cat product or the same manufacturer with a different regional name.
I wound not have glued first buildings down , in fact im thinking thin Plate like decks like on ships and oil rigs. plate rivets etc and magnetize feet
You may triple what's on the table, but what planet are you from if you think mdf terrain looks not just as good, but BETTER than this.....you're talking out your bumhole.
God damn Luke! This looks so insanely good! Really tempting me to make some static boards.
Do it...
I would love to see this! Loving your SciFi stuff

I’d love to see more 40k/sci tables with homemade terrain! The GW stuff is badass, but expensive.

Please do more sci fi/40k stuff. It looks awesome!
The Mechanicum approves.
Please never stop using Synthwave / Retrowave music. So good.
Holy moly that music in the intro was amazing.
thank you so much sir!!!! been hoping that you would have time for something like this; can't wait for more!!! Love, love, love!!
Want to do this in Australia but one of those kits cost roughly the same amount you paid for all of those kits.
Never tend to comment, but wanted to say good on you for getting out your comfort zone! Roll on more Sci fi and 'different' game boards. Love it!
Looks awesome
Love the synthwave soundtrack, went to so Perturbator recently, kick ass gig !
Love the table !
Remind me of the Faster Than Light soundtrack
Cool to see something mars themed. Not something many people do. Especially not so well, fast and making it seem easy to recreate. Quality video!

That is one stonking board!
That is awesome - can’t wait to see it rise

Holy shit! This looks AMAZING! I can't wait to see more of this.
Hey Luke I love this idea please could you do full 6 by 4 mars board it would be amazing
Very impressive build, looks fantastic.
Looks absolutely insane mate!
Could you do something with an autumn forest board with stone ruins?
Id love to see some Chaos boards, Plague Planet for example.
Thats sick!
Excellent as always, and I recon you could use that for Necromunda too.
I just got all my stuff together to do a Warhammer KT board build this weekend! Thanks for the inspiration!
Love these table builds. Don’t know where you store them all though. You have to run out of room at some point. Great vid 👍🏻
quality vid, and with looking to do a load of kill team stuff this is exactly what ive been looking for.
Looking forward to more of this.

Haha, Luke hitting that fave comment button like crazy!
Board looks awesome, might repurpose some of that for a Necromunda underhive ore mining board.
Great build as always buddy!
Awesome!!!
wonderful!! but I don't see the affiliate link you mention in the video for the rock outcroppings moulds...
Looks amazing! Great job. :-)
Have you ever thought about building multiple slightly larger boards 24x36inch for killteam and then pushing them together to make a 4x6foot board?
This looks amazing !!!
Love this board an your vids bro! What is about some BattleReps? 😁
This looks like a Rammstein stage... 10/10
Loving it mate nice job 👏
Outstanding!
FUK YES... loved it
Would love to see you do a winter/Arctic style kill team board
Thank you , Luke .
Nice work! I would love to see some modern/near future/cyberpunk terrain.
I want to play on that board! Please make more kill team boards in the future!
It's awsome!
Ooh nice intro! A bit Stranger Things...
looks fantastic mate :)
Beautiful board, which was the orange red you used in the fisher?
That looks amazing as ever. You're pretty darned good at this, aren't you? ;)
I spit my drink out at the "gator glue" part; we have "gorilla glue" here in the States. I dunno if one is a copy cat product or the same manufacturer with a different regional name.
I 3D print terrain from Warlayer, looks very much like GW terrain but only 50 bucks for the file set
I wound not have glued first buildings down , in fact im thinking thin Plate like decks like on ships and oil rigs. plate rivets etc and magnetize feet
You make it look easy.........😯😁
Killer vid
Home bargins spray for the win
Amazing board!!!! #inspired
Looks insane! After you have used anti shine several times on the pigments. What is the sealant glue you mention?
More one day builds!
Did you get more kits to build it upwards would like to see it if you have
I really want to get some kits built into my diorama board on the build weekend as im going sci fi
question: when painting the terrain, is there any reason you went with a brush and not a spray can? thanks!
Those hashtags though!!
Amazing as always man! Where do you get your polystyrene from and is it just standard stuff?
@@GeekGamingScenics legend! Thanks so much for all the time you put into this mate. Given me the confidence to attempt my first board!
Could you roll a crumpled aluminium foil ball on the compound to get texture?
What's the sealing glue?
Luke whos the music artist please mate? Cheers
Hey Luke. Any news yet about what to expect on the workshop weekend i managed to get a ticket for in october?
Anything i/we can do pre planning wise?
Get the MDF Necromunda style hive kits from TT Combat or alike and you'll triple whats on the table!! Plus it looks better than these GW kits.
You may triple what's on the table, but what planet are you from if you think mdf terrain looks not just as good, but BETTER than this.....you're talking out your bumhole.
OMFG ... Killa
what ever effect or steady pole you used for the outside shots it gave me motion sickness. dunno if it caused it with others or not
Looking for ideas on rusty dirty grim dark stuff at the moment...thanks
Does Scale75 do a Martian red colour and if so would you recommend it as a nail varnish?
Really like the table, but isn't that a bit small? for 40k, you easily need 4x4, preferably 6x4.
Kill team 😉
Great job Luke this looks awesome!
No one is doing Beyond the Gates of Antares Terrain and second edition is round the corner...🙏🏻
This needs some red port 😸
Video did not play for me disappointing as I love love your content
@@GeekGamingScenics now working
Unsure why said could not connect but
No problems with old videos
Nice use of hydrophobic, do you PhD?
Wonderful job!! but gosh, please: wear gloves! I can feel your skin pain when you wash away the primer from your hands and arms! :D ah ah
Gang
Pfff just 125 pound for some unpainted plastic for use on very specific scenes
First yeet
Too red for my taste.
