You forgot there are many druid "subclasses" (couldnt think of a better word): Druids of the claw, of the talon, of the pack, of the scyte, of the prey, etc.
+Nathan Barling As a matter of fact Illidan sucked at druidic magic, he was more attuned to the arcane, and then mastered fel magic. But Doron also mixed up the golden eyes unique nightelf feature with druidism. Night elves with golden eyes ( which Illidan, Malfurion and Tyrande did) are considered to be special and do great things in life,good/bad, not necessarily be good at druidism.
+Nathan Barling Well apparently he was born with antlers but they dissipated as he lost interest in druidism and leant towards arcane magic. He developed horns when he began the demon hunter and fel activities. EDIT: I tried to find where I read that but I can't find it now, soz
From what I learn you aren't born with antlers as a Night Elf, no matter how attuned you are with the druidic power. They grow the more you are attuned to the dream. Malfurion's horns, wings and fur grew after he spent a few millenia trapped in the dream. The more you connect with your animal spirits, the more aspects you take over.
Doronsmovies It's stated in the official description for the Balance spec that the spec is using a combination of the Nature magic & Arcane magic. Given that Night Elves (& maybe Tauren) are suspicious about the use of Arcane magic, how do you think this would affect roleplay for a Balance druid? How would their cultures respond to this combination of magics?
DreamDruid89 this is a good question and is loooong overdue for an answer If you ask me, I believe it would make them respected, but also kind of feared
Also it is speculated that trolls were the first actual druids, or at least a race that dabbled in druidism, their lore going further back then 10000 years ago when Cenarius took the first elves as druid apprentices.
Does anyone think that if they added some more minor glyphs for shape-changing the druid would be a bit more fun, instead of cat form we get spider or raptor, bears get rhino or like something else. I feel it would give druids a bit more flavor without changing the play style... although bear from needs some work.
So, Druids and Shamans can be easily differentiated on a scientific level. Shamans focus on abiotic factors, whereas druids focus on biotic factors which both together form an ecosystem.
+Keval Parikh Yeah that Tauren crap was fanfiction made by a fan that Blizzard liked and decided to give him a nice shoutout in game like they do for a lot of things. It's not canon though. It's specifically stated that Malfurion was the first druid taught by Cenarius everywhere.
+MrAntiDK actually the story of ancient taurens being the first students of Cenarius predates Xerantaur's story and was written in the scrolls of Tauren folklore that you can find in Thunderbluff behind Hamuul Runetotem since Vanilla.
On the wiki I read about what you'd consider a sub-class called Savagekin or Feralkin. You mentioned them, but on the forums it also seems like there are groups of druids who choose that style of life. So I guess it would be possible to RP a Savagekin right?
Doronsmovies Thanks for the reply! Lorewise, I like shaman the most and it's fun to play. I play warrior too, because I like the idea of being an iron clad juggernaut wielding huge weapons and harnessing the power of pure rage.
I feel like a better way to describe the difference between shamans and druids is that shamans are more connected to just nature, where druids are connected with the universe.?
What would my nelf druid be in if he is a "feral", like he uses the cat form for combat? I thought it was druid of the claw, but I'm pretty sure they only shift into bear form.
I know that some sets are considered too flashy and really stick out for RP. Is the stormrage Druid raid armor considered too much or people wouldn't take me seriously because it has antlers so it would consider me a very power Druid lore wise because of the antlers and the fact that it was malferion's so would that be a problem dealing with other players wearing the set?
If you hear the ward Druid what's the race you think it fit most based on the lore ofc...i just want to make the originaly druid ... i think is The NE ..i dont mind if it has to be Alliance or Horde*
a little correction. Illidan wasn't born with antlers, infact he had no talent for druidism. The horns he have are demonic horns he got for messing with fel magic
+Sheriff K I think it's a bit late for Blizz to give a damn about something that small. They still haven't given us tattoo options, more piercing options for all races, dark iron dwarf and untainted orc skins, etc.
So let me see if I got this right, balance druids are not so advanced druids who focused more on the power of the moon and sun (so rping a balance troll/ worgen might be a bit odd?), shapeshifters (feral and guardian) are a bit more advanced druids who focus more on combining their spirit with the animal and eventually sharing their bodies for a time. And resto is more focused on healing the nature and whatever might belong to it, calling the powers of the nature to aid the wounded and cure the ill. Which would be a combination between a novice druid and an advanced one I guess. But once again, not really seeing the nature in worgens. So no balance and no resto for them. But at the same time, as you said, shapeshifting is hard and they're kinda new to it. Damn those furry things. Think I'm missing something though, /sigh... Yelp.
The worgen have a strong connection to Goldrinn, which helps them to shapeshift (or at least it would if they turned into wolves intead of cats and bears). Also, i think the druid magics they practised before were more like restoration, because, you know, they are """healing""" the crops. Also, something not related to worgen: balance druids shapeshift into moonkins, remember?
I main a Balance Night Elf Druid, However I can see a Worgen Druid as a formal farmer learning basic weather/ star coordination-like magic becoming accustomed to using Moonfire/Sunfire etc.
Derotiss You are wrong. While shape shifting is the most difficult thing for a druid to do, that does not make a Druid who wishes to focus his or her abilities on Restoration or Balace "novice druids".
Well Balance druids originally used more nature magic... Like Entangling Roots Thorns Nature's Grasp Insect Swarm Omen of Clarity Wrath... and am talking about the old Wrath that was green color... And they only used the arcane magic of the moon and stars which made sense specially for night elves....
That is what was considered until we found out about the first tauren students. Wow lore changes a lot, until recently we didn't know that the night elves are actually evolved trolls.
Doronsmovies There is an archaeology item that is a statue of a MALE Priest of the Moon and a FEMALE Druid, from the thousand years ago from the War of the Ancients era, its a neat change on the Lore ;)
Doronsmovies WHAT. Night Elves are actually evolved Trolls?! ... Well, I guess I do see a resemblance. I mean, lose the tusks, stand up straight, get a nose job, and BAM: Night Elves.
Hey doronsmovies , first i love your video i love you you are very good , So i think that the druid is very very very strong He can be one of the most powerfull class in wow . WHy ? If he use the power of the stars , yeah guys ! What do you think about the start power ? Ps: sorry if my eng is bad i'm french but i love you ^^
It's a gray area sort of. But it's considered that they can use powers of the moon because Cenarius taught the druids and he is the son of Elune, or as they refer to her: "Moon Goddess"
You forgot there are many druid "subclasses" (couldnt think of a better word):
Druids of the claw, of the talon, of the pack, of the scyte, of the prey, etc.
You are right, my bad should have covered that. I might do a lore type of a video in the future so I'll try to explain that.
Those are their many totems
Illidan wasn't born with antlers. Those are demon horns that he grew when he claimed the Eye of Guldan.
+Nathan Barling skull and i don't think he said illidan was born with antlers
+Nathan Barling Well apparently he was born with antlers but they dissipated as he lost interest in druidism and leant towards arcane magic. He developed horns when he began the demon hunter and fel activities.

What would you like with your soup sir? Ehm number 34 eye of gul'dan. Oh sorry sir I think you mean skull of gul'dan
there was a book in cenarean hold back in classic that states the tuaren where trained in druidisum by the night elfs
specifically archdruid Runetotem of thunder bluff
he was the first tuaren druid according to the book
+dmann the lock Tauren*

How to Roleplay a Druid: Dont start a fucking cat clan guild
Blazey Kat P R E A C H
Yeah I learned quickly how big of a mistake that was.
Start a bear clan guild.
I love these videos! I would love to have more, you're doing amazing!
Lauren Patrick Thanks, got about 3 more to finish the entire class series. :D
Also it is speculated that trolls were the first actual druids, or at least a race that dabbled in druidism, their lore going further back then 10000 years ago when Cenarius took the first elves as druid apprentices.
0:51 "Whether it is a plant or a worm" LMAO I'm sorry but that cracked me up. :)
Does anyone think that if they added some more minor glyphs for shape-changing the druid would be a bit more fun, instead of cat form we get spider or raptor, bears get rhino or like something else. I feel it would give druids a bit more flavor without changing the play style... although bear from needs some work.
I can't tell you how much I wish I could return to WoW and play a druid, rogue, priest and shaman.
+Argentspear Why can't you?
So, Druids and Shamans can be easily differentiated on a scientific level.
Shamans focus on abiotic factors, whereas druids focus on biotic factors which both together form an ecosystem.
Perfect explanation
Archdruid Malfuirion Stormrage is/was the first druid taught by Cenarius.
Keval Parikh Also illidian stormrage studied arcane arts, but abandoned it after the destruction of the well of eternity

The sooo much this is my fav class troll druid for life!!
druid best class in lore!
Not best one for me, but certainly really cool. :D
Doronsmovies Then what is the best one for you?
***** Warrior since I play one. But if I was considering the lore, most likely the shaman and the warlock.
Doronsmovies Thanks for the reply! Lorewise, I like shaman the most and it's fun to play. I play warrior too, because I like the idea of being an iron clad juggernaut wielding huge weapons and harnessing the power of pure rage.
+Doronsmovies why would warrior have the best lore, it seems the most mundane class and most generic one
you deserve more subscribers, thank you.
I feel like a better way to describe the difference between shamans and druids is that shamans are more connected to just nature, where druids are connected with the universe.?
good job
Love the druid class my main is a druid troll and love it
Malfurion wasn't born with antlera, they grew during his training, and Illidan never ever had them, he did have amber eyes though.
What would my nelf druid be in if he is a "feral", like he uses the cat form for combat? I thought it was druid of the claw, but I'm pretty sure they only shift into bear form.
claw is both. (yea, 5 years later)
What about Azshara ?? She has golden eyes to !!!
Nice video Doron :) !
Thanks. :)
I know that some sets are considered too flashy and really stick out for RP. as a new subrace they should make night elfves that can become worgen
How to role play a rogue please!! I love you're videos!!
Nice, love your videos keep it up! Cant wait for the paladin guide.
Might be next, can't promise anything atm though. :D
Doronsmovies Paladong

I think he said night elves...
Darkraptor X 6:25 he said "some night elves are born with antlers, famous ones are Malfurion, Illidan and Broll"
Yep
Dis wuz umazn drn
Translation: This was amazing Doron!
Thanks. :)
:)
Couldn't think of anything else to say that was different, so I did the misspelling thing
Dunno why
They need to add customization options to allow NE Males to get Antlers... (Or giving NE the actual NORMAL eye color they're supposed to have...
+Sheriff K Blizz is thinking of adding subclass , so maybe in the future they will allow druids NE choose antlers
+Sheriff K I think it's a bit late for Blizz to give a damn about something that small. They still haven't given us tattoo options, more piercing options for all races, dark iron dwarf and untainted orc skins, etc.

It's a bit weird for them, but as I said the night elves are considered to be mentoring them, so they could be close to them.
The worgen have a strong connection to Goldrinn, which helps them to shapeshift (or at least it would if they turned into wolves intead of cats and bears). Also, i think the druid magics they practised before were more like restoration, because, you know, they are """healing""" the crops.

Awesome video 💕
Awesome job sir thank you
Thanks. :)
Paladins next please! Love the videos by the way :D
The first Druids were the night elfs and storm rage was the first Druid

Druids, how do they work!?
Pretty much ment, how do they function compared to other classes.
Awesome :D
Hey doronsmovies , first i love your video i love you you are very good , So i think that the druid is very very very strong He can be one of the most powerfull class in wow . WHy ? If he use the power of the stars , yeah guys ! What do you think about the start power ?

Nature buddy
Dude, I love your accent! And this video! BTW, What is your fav. class?

It's called Epic Battle 1 from audiomicro.com

I wish they could have faction change without the race change being forcefully included
Nature will ride against you!
Not if I'm a mech mage atm. :D
What is the lore behind the balance druids, excatly? And btw, keep up the great work :)
It's a gray area sort of. But it's considered that they can use powers of the moon because Cenarius taught the druids and he is the son of Elune, or as they refer to her: "Moon Goddess"
Oh, ok. Thanks :D
