A minimum of 60 credit units of college education. A 2 year degree qualifies as well 👍🏻👍🏻 As far as I know, there is no exact required area of study, except that it be related to the duties of a State Parks Ranger
This morning, May 26, 2018, my son and I were camped at the Sterling Canyon Campground in the Hungry Valley OHV Park where we were fired upon by other campers. These campers had allowed their kids to ride ATV's unsupervised in circles around our trailer. After waking to this noise, telling the kids to stop, and placing containers in our campsite to block their path; ten minutes later I heard pings against our trailer. One of their older kids was shooting at our trailer. Too bad RUclips does not allow me to post pictures in their comments. Calling the Hungry Valley State Rangers DID NOTHING. Oh the Rangers showed up and I showed them the pics of the kid shooting, but nothing happened. NO Kid was arrested. NO Parent was cited. NO Guns were confiscated. The only thing that happened was that these people found out who called the Rangers on them (since we were the only people they were shooting at) and they found out that there would be no consequences for shooting at other campers. Left to fend for ourselves, we packed up and left. Are California Park Rangers cowards, or is it State policy to not confiscate guns from minorities when they are only shooting at old white guys? This is why from now on I will always carry an AR-15 in my trailer whenever I visit a California State Park.
BETA! These rangers have way more to handle then a little skirmish. You live in a country where you can solve problems yourself don’t rely of these officers who battle wild animals, fires, and hard crimes. Not a little skirmish.
I’ve never seen an unhappy ranger peace officer
I think this is the right path for me
I just did my written exam yesterday. Fingers crossed I did well and can continue on in the process.

ken williams I guarantee there's more to this story but OK.
Good luck with your new AR-15. You sound like your mentally capable of owning one, LOL
So you’re going to shoot a kid with an AR-15 because he shot an air soft of BB gun at your trailer? You’re a definite psychopath

Ken a typical white guy thinking that the universe owes him something, and will do anything to ruin anybody’s fun.
