Fallout 4 - Building at County Crossing 03 (Settler Shack Extension)

- This series covers the construction of my settlement at County Crossing. Apart from Place Everywhere no settlement object mods were used, and only uses vanilla and DLC objects with some additional assets being spawned using Console Commands.
In the first part of the series I patch up and repair the pre-existing ruined house. The ground floor will be used as the settlements bar, and also features some covered workshop and storage area.
In the third part of the series I extend the existing settler shack, creating a storage area on the ground floor with a larger settler home with balconies on the roof.

Isn't it satisfying to turn a simple shack into one lovely house? The house extensions and repairs have to be my favorite parts of your builds. The patience you have, the layout.. I could never!
Thanks! In my head cannon one of the existing settlers built the original shack only for his brother to look unimpressed and say, ‘hold my beer’... He then proceeds to haul a bunch of junk into the settlement and create this monstrosity, then proudly state ‘now this, this is a shack’ 🤣.

Thanks! Already hard at work getting the place decorated but still got a lot to do. Hoping to get it done before the update drops and breaks my mod setup, just in case steps I have taken to prevent it fail 😨🤞.

Glad you are enjoying the series, thanks! As the only existing intact structure I felt it would be natural as the settlement grows the settlers would keep adding to and expanding it over time. Well, at least that’s the look I was aiming for, but pleased with how it turned out 😅.
@@FiddleflapsVids when you think about, that approach makes much more sense than the approach most of us take, which is to tear down the existing and build from dirt up.

Had to be done, felt sorry for the original settlers having to live in that tiny little shack so gave them a proper home 😊.

Did you know that is posible do your settlers wear power armor pemanent like a guard without mods?
send settler to another settlement and while he is far of a settlement intimidate him and order him wear power armor and after that quickly do fast travel to that settlement that you sent him, wait some dayse before he arrive and when he is arriving to settlement is necesary order him to be a guard.
Something interesting is about his power armor autorepair after a time of fight.
You dont have to talk him never or you character will tell him leave the power armor so the power armor and weapon for that settler has to be the previous definitive option to give him before to do this trick.
With this tip i did faction settlements with power armor using faction paints etc.
I was aware that they could jump into Power Armor during a settlement attack but did not know about the intimidation method, great tip and thanks for sharing! 👍😁

What mod makes objects Phase so easily? I'm trying to build on console
I build using the Place Everywhere mod on PC, the closest alternatives for consoles are:
*Place Anywhere (Xbox)*

@@laverniustucker8198 Although they share similar features Place *Anywhere* for Xbox is not the same mod as Place *Everywhere* for PC which is what I am using.
Place anywhere on Xbox needs to be set up at a chemistry station.
