Thanks for the info, I'm setting up a 125G w/ a 50G sump and still evaluating the options for heating. Having had standard heaters fail to shut off, I'm definitely leaning towards controller/heater combos; this video is extremely timely!
I like the heater very much. I would rather use a digital controller like that instead of the less accurate thermostat adjustment for some of the other heaters. I do think that it would've been nice to see how to adjust the heater and make it less broad in the allowed high and low temp ranges.
It seems the controller you installed was below the tank level. Would have like to have seen the actual thermometer installed the instructions that came with it aren’t super clear. First time installing this Finnex
Mine was set at 76F and i walked in and seen the heater light was off and the temp displayed was only 71F so i was wondering why the heater light was off if the temp setting wasnt up to temp yet . so i thought mabey i was mistaking the temp that i set so i hit the set button to check and yup it was at 76. weird thing is when i checked to confirm , all of a sudden heater light kicked back on 🤷♂️ do you know why the heater was off when temp wasnt up to the setting temp ?
I’ve been looking at one of these in a smaller size for my nanocube to replace my cheap heater. I would love to win one to upgrade my nano challenge tank
I have several of the bare heaters controlled by apexes but would like the redundancy of the controller. However it says and you referenced a +/- 2 degrees. If I set it to 77 how tight to that does it keep the temp? 75-79 would be far too big a swing. Thanks
Need your help just bought this heater and it works . It's a 300 watt in a 40 gallon breeder with a 20 gallon long is that a nought to heat it , I'm doing a test run right now and it's been all most 2 hours and it's only at 76 degrees?
Have this on my tank. Unit lasted about 4 years and just recently died. Super stable and I will be getting another
Digital read out hi low alarm. Not to mention all the adjustment. Outstanding! !!
Looks like a great solution to an old problem. Finally, a heater/controller combination that works.
In my opinion, best heater on the market.
Love the reliability and sturdiness of the titanium elements.
Looks awesome and with the high/low alerts for extra peace of mind is priceless
Nice construction, titanium over glass any day!
My favorite heater
I'm really impressed with the Finnex Titanium Aquarium Heater and Controller. Will definitely consider this set up for my next build !
Looks like a good heater, I need one.
Sweet contoler and heater
I've got one of these already, no issues as of yet. Would like to have a second one for back up if/when needed.
Love my 300W Finnex Titanium heaters - nicely small for the power rating.
Looks like my next display tank heater!
I have the finnex 500W and it is very reliable. This unit would make a great backup!
Great heater and controller love the fact that the heater also serve as a ground probe.
I may try finnex for the first time here when I replace my eheims. Thanks for the video!

Really nice, that controller and heater by then self are a great addition to any Tank.
I like the look no glass to break
I need to pick up another of these heaters to run as back up. Great info.
Great video Jeff I have that very heater would love a back up !!
Very nice heater
Nice. Would come in handy
Making me feel like I definitely should look into one of those. Been several years since I replaced my heater, hmm. Safety safety safety, smart!!!
Yes, safety and redundancy. Thanks for watching!
That heater would be awesome on my newly upgraded 120
That’s the perfect size for your aquarium. 👌🏻
Looks great
Just got the 800 watt LOVE it.
Will add this one to my wish list for sure. Thanks!
Need one ASAP
Awesome heater...especially with alarms and controller
Nice controller I like the high and low alarms
Sign me up for that baby! Getting my stuff together for my first build, and I still need a quality heater!
Nice heater
I use a lot of these, highly recommended!
You know, I love my heater... This tho with the controller is a nice add on... I would consider changing for that.
Always wanted to try a titanium heater. Thank you for the review
You’re very welcome!
I like the min/max feature and the auto shut off. For high watt heaters a separate controller is the only way to go.
Great heater! Would love this for my 175 !
nice. love that it comes with a controller.
They seem like a nice little heater!
Nice review
Another great vid and contest. Never had one of these but would be happy to try one!
Nice heater..
Very cool!
Love this heater and controller. To bad mine had electric difficulties
Looks like a nice heater. I would love to get one!
Nice video. Great alternative to those of us who can't afford an apex system.
I likes it alot!
I might get this when I get a big tank
Great heaters. Could really use one of these.
Awesome video. What a great heater! I don’t have an apex and I definitely love the alarm feature on this. My next upgrade! 😀
I had one in my basket for me new set up great heater good reviews
Thank you for this review definitely getting one for my 180
Awesome heater, would work great on my tank!
Would love a good standby heater
Beautiful heater love the controller
Looks awesome! I'll be ordering mine
Finnex to me has the best heater on the market. Great review!

Have 2 of them. Love it. Would love to have an extra one.
Good stuff
I was thinking about getting this heater
These are sweet! 300 ftw
Great!
Finnex is my first choice in heaters.
It would be nice to have a heater with the controller

I like it
I will say that gonna is 2nd choice to me. I still like ehiem jager. But still a great choice
I like the product it has its own controller love it bro
I need a replaceme t co stroller and could use a spare heater. I have the 500w, love it
Great technology
Interesting device,thanks dude👍
Really nice heater!

This is a nice heater.
This may sound stupid. But can you use heater guards on titanium heaters?
slick
would be great for my new 120g set up
Nice heater 500w!!
Any info on a manual for a finnex hc810m manual?
My 125 gallon Reef needs this
I'd be down to have this heater. :)
Very accurate heater! I'm from reef2reef in for the drawing :):)!! I've been wanting to buy this heater but haven't had the money!! :(
Debating between this heater and a Eheim. Like a lot yoh has to say on this one. Will be hearing about 800 gallons so would take multiples for sure!
It’s always best to have the demand spread over a few heaters to get the job done.
I’ve been looking at one of these in a smaller size for my nanocube to replace my cheap heater. I would love to win one to upgrade my nano challenge tank

Nice
Nice one👍👍👍
I am a new hobbyist, one question, can we use this heater in my fresh water tank 600 liters, thanks for your quick answer.
I just got one and the sensor is off by 3 degrees it reads 82 when the tank is at 79 I used two different thermometers to check temp in tank
You said there was a 2 deg swing in temp, have you noticed multiple swings on your Apex?
Need your help just bought this heater and it works . It's a 300 watt in a 40 gallon breeder with a 20 gallon long is that a nought to heat it , I'm doing a test run right now and it's been all most 2 hours and it's only at 76 degrees?
What do you have the temp set to?
I have a cheap heater and need to invest in a quality heater
i need this for my 400g reef tank
hello! just curious if you still like this heater? thinking about getting it.
thnx!
Apex + GHL temp probes can make me nervous, having two temperature readings + separate controller does seem safer
Hey Jeff how do you run this heater on your apex.
I need that heater please :)
Thanks for the review!
