I'm very proud to say that my great-grandfather Manuel was the caregiver of chimpanzees and orangutans at Dr Wolfgang Köhler's anthropoid research station in Tenerife. My family is known since then by the nickname of "de los machangos". That in the popular language of the region means "of the monkeys" Here he is in the early 1900s tenerifenorte.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Manuel-el-de-los-machangos.jpg
Thank you, so much. That was fascinating to watch. It is one thing to read about it or hear about it, but to actually watch them in action (problem-solving) is incredible.
Very powerful learning method which I used in drafting SPIRULINA when I encountered severe power cuts in 2008 . So the problem & stimulus to me is " power cuts " . I've reffered hundred of books. Thanks to CM jagan sir . Thanks to Google sir for recognising 13 yrs work .
Beautiful experiments our responses change according to the consequences.... and through this trial and error method we learn new things.. and get solution to our problems by making perceptions of things present in our enviornment and doing cognitions and that sudden solution comes to our brain called aha or ureka moment .. 😍😍.. insight learning..
because it is easier to survive in society. Unfortunately "survival of the fittest" is (mis)used to prove how the fittest have the right to exploit the rest
Can anyone direct me to the Macaque study pictured here? I understand Macaques are more socially cooperative than the larger brained apes however I've also understood the kind of sharing suggested in this video is extremely rare in primates, with the exception of humans.
This video should be shown to anyone who doesn't believe that human cognition could arise from evolution alone. No need for any stoned apes or ancient astronauts.
So this is kohler's Experiment done with a chimpanzee called sultan right??... But there are not just 1 chimpanzee here...is the first part of the video (1:56) the experiment with sultan ? What about the rest?? Someone answer me please...
To be honest, not sure I would've even thought of that
