Hans Zimmer said that when he wrote the score for Interstellar, he tried to combine the essence of science and mystery, to give people a sense of reaching for the ultimate unknown. Which works very well with the film - it is a space sci-fi, but by dealing with the theory of relativity and black holes, it reaches a dimension that can only be understood as religious mysticism.
Connor Mcnally but you have to make sure that quantum tunneling doesn't occur or you could set off a chain reaction of vacuum decay, destroying the entire universe
I've heard a number of extended versions of this track, but this is by far the best version in my opinion. It has the best build up, climax, and closure. Awesome work, subbed!!
i have that feeling across the whole soundtrack, pressure in the eyes, several things...i don't care what the oscars or who ever say, this is a masterpiece.
Until 2:44 - You're working, studying, planning, saving, eating fruits to save money, giving your blood and living as you're going to live forever. You have only 4 hours every 15 days to do something to refill your energy. Until 2:44 you were losing everything, family, friends, the love of your life, because you had only one shot to change everything and you wouldn't miss it. For 5.5 years you lost your own birthday parties to work, christmas, new years, your friends' and girlfriends' birthdays - even though you showed you loved them and they understood you had to work, with time you lost them all. 5.5 years of being addicted to the idea of changing your future... Then 2:45 comes. You achieved your goal. You changed your whole future. You cry of relief, of happiness, for knowing you won't ever be homeless again, you won't ever want to eat and not be able to afford it. It just cost you all the people you loved and somehow you're still happy... most of the time. This song... It's peaceful and sad. It feels like the path is just ahead of us waiting to be followed. I expect only to get whatever I deserve... nothing more, nothing less.
The best score I have ever felt inside of my existance. I do not think that any words can explain the emotions of the sound that come from this score. It honestly is like thinking to yourself "How or who created God,and were did He come from".
Wrote this while listening and almost cried: "neither of us really paid attention to the conversation. Instead, we were staring up, at the moon. Up, at the reason life as we know it exists. Up, at the Mercury-sized mountain of rock floating a quarter of a million miles above us, hurling through space at 3 million meters a second. Up, at the one place mankind has ever escaped from the dying planet that gave life to us. Up, at the one place that could save this planet and everybody on it."
The suspense. The emotion. The grandeur. It is simply, a complete work of art. It's fascinating as much as as it is stunning. Each second. Feel it. Let those endorphins run wild. Let yourself fall in love. A truly stunning rich and exquisite part of Hans mind. Behind every great film is a masterful score. Hans delivers every single time. I and am sure everyone reading this comment utterly appreciate it.
Is it wrong to freely admit that this music brought tears to my eyes? So so so powerful! Music that moves you is music for the soul, for the heart. This music is.....life! Zimmer is pure talent!
yes he did something, he blended the parts together so it makes something smooth, don't just say he didn't say anything if you don't know, he wrote what he did in the description
Hans Zimmer has done all the way of man's destination as Hellenic history reveals... Man...from man to hero...from hero to semigod... And from semigod to God!!!! Many many years after we would have "left" this planet, this man will be remembered for this absolute masterpiece...... A divine testament for the explorers of the universe and not only... What ever to write for this man is so less.... He should have won the Oscar and he should be honored. He has already taken the Oscar of immortality. For the intelligent he is the winner by far.........
Any movie with Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer will be a master piece. Dunkirk has the same director and same composer. Just crown it movie of 2017 already!
I am amazed at how Hans Zimmer adapts and uses sound to create and shift emotion so seamlessly that I don't even notice I've been moved by the music until it's over, and although some parts of his tracks are a little repetitive I still praise him as being one of the most revolutionary movie sound artists of our time and his music creates inspiration outside of movies like he wouldn't believe. I truly love Hans Zimmer and make sure I see most of the movies he takes a part in. I also enjoy artists like Daniel Licht and his more discordant and mysterious creative style. That is all.
+Jonah Hoj i don't know why this comment makes me laugh so much. that's not how I remembered them saying it and i just watched the movie a 4th time last night. hahhahaha
This song ... this movie ... makes me cry ... all the time ... When I hear this song, I stop and think how big and I am, because I feel alive! The sadness, the imperfections, the injustices, the human ingratitude, everything becomes so small in front of this sound. A life shows its purpose, at least for me.
Hans Zimmer is the most amazing instrumental composer I ever known and you found a way to get Interstellar's score even more awesome. This is probably my new top 5 movies ever. Amazing work! Congratulations and keep up with good work, I'll be here to watch every new video!
I really appreciate what you've done! It sounds ten times better than the original songs from the OST. Hope you keep working on these, they are great! Also, the ending is amazing. I could listen to the last small part for years!
Without question one of Hans Zimmer's Masterwerkes. It is Epic in its sonic grandeur, with the choral emphasis nearing the crescendo..... Admittedly, biased a LifeLong Zimmer fanatic, IMHO the Maestro of all Soundtrack composers, IMHO in the same irreverence as the beyond-Gifted Thomas Newman.... This piece stands out amidst Zimmer's incomparably emotive triumphs of soundtrack composition. Brings oceans of tears of Elysium to mine eyes. Herzliche Vielen Danke Schon, Hans, AUSGESEICHNET 📽💎💞🎥 🌠⏳
Very well made. Tied up the greatest and most powerful tracks in a very smooth and satisfying way. Thank you for your work on this (very tedious I'm sure) project.
WildSpartanz -- "Quackity your left, Hoover your right." Quackity -- "Which left?" 2:44 -- He's opened my mind up to so much questions, is there really a left? Because someone facing you has a different left then you. Someone facing his right side towards you . . . His left is your forward . . . So much questions . . . Not enough time for answers. And what is left in space? I bet I stumped all of you. Left is all around us . . .
The thing I love about this piece of music is the fact that the atmosphere of it is unsettling. Like, something isn't right, and the truth, the horrible daunting truth is slowly coming at you, like a wave. The truth that those mountains in the distance aren't mountains, and that you're very much possibly going to die, because you're far too out to get back.
I'm writing a book - a clear translation of the words of Isaiah, the prophet. While I translate and interpret I listen to selections like yours, which by the way , I enjoy very much. Thank you for your work. It is much appreciated. - N Tucker
I saw this in imax coming down from mushrooms at a midnight showing to a packed theater. Words cannot begin to describe the complete awe i was in throughout the whole movie
There is something so powerful and otherworldly about the score for this film. It's a timeless epic piece of cinema music.

Do you think he could make a score that fit for a film adaptation of a Lovecraft story? :)
+Benjamin Clark Indeed. It was truly inspired.
Because of the time dilation due to Gargantua's gravity, every tick represents approx. 17 hours on earth.
Thx... Will keep that in mind when watching the movie again. ;-)
