Gently I say, Eli if you aren't feeling better soon, please consider seeing a medical doctor. Depending on the injury, in some cases, chiropractic treatment, like getting an adjustment, can cause more damage. I'm a big fan of chiropractic treatment, but, it is not always the best first line of treatment for severe pain. Medical doctors are sometimes better equipped to deal with unexplained severe pain because they can do more extensive testing before precribing treatment. And, they'll even prescribe chiropractic treatment if necessary. That said, Bexley is just adorable. She is growing up so fast! That little "hiiii" was so sweet!
I don’t want to argue, but I work in Physical Therapy. A lot of insurances will not immediately pay for specialists without you first seeking a first line of relief and getting it all documented. The more you can get documented the better the chance your insurance will be more willing to cover services.
When it comes to surgery you don’t need to worry Lacey. I myself have heart issues and also had a surgery when I was 3 years old. I’ve had many surgeries after that for different things and the way it works is, he would need to go to the heart doctor to get his heart checked and they would clear him then only would they allow for surgery to happen. If for any reason they feel like it’s risky then they wouldn’t allow for the surgery to happen and look for alternative situations until he gets cleared for surgery. I hope that helped you just a little bit but don’t worry your thoughts and fears are valid!

I know exactly what Eli is going through if not worse.... I found out that I had a herniated torn desk and in 2019 I had a back surgery and a spinal fusion done from my L5 to my S1. Now I am having SI joint pain which is in my lowest back and radiates all the way around my hips and I am in pain everyday! Lately my pain has been getting worse and unfortunately my last and only resort is to go to the methadone clinic for pain management. I did my intake process 2 days ago, my blood work yesterday, and this coming Thursday I will FINALLY be able to dose and HOPEFULLY and PRAYERFULLY start feeling some relief!!!!! Over a week ago I went to another surgeon because my SI joint is unstable and does need to be stabilized but he does not think surgery is an option and that's why I said the clinic is my last and only resort! Eli. I hope things get better for you and you start to feel better soon! But please keep in mind that a lot of the times once you have one back surgery you're probably going to need another and another and another... UNFORTUNATELY! At 25 I woke one morning unable to get off the toilet. I was staying with my mom so I yelled for her. I had a slipped disc, did therapy and nothing was helping. Had surgery and 2 months later that same disc slipped again. Had 2nd surgery and it helped. They said after my MRI I had the back of a 50 year old. I still have back issues and have restrictions.
Hey Eli, sorry to hear about your back and hip pain, I can relate to it I’ve had back surgery and it’s no fun. What I wanted to say is if the chiropractor is telling you, you have many things wrong with you that are causing you pain and it has to do with the spine, you should really see an orthopedic surgeon. They’ll give you the lowdown on what you need done and if you need surgery or sometimes they will give you a steroid injection into your spine and it might give you some temporary relief. But please whatever you do don’t get started on heavy duty pain pills trust me you will become addicted. So yeah chiropractors can’t do everything that an orthopedic surgeon can, which is basically surgery but sometimes they’ll send you to physical therapy. I don’t know I’m rambling on now and I just wanted to give a little suggestion. I was out of options that’s why I had to have the surgery. I wish you luck and I hope your pain goes away for good. By the way, my back pain did come back, but not as bad as it was before the surgery. OK bye guys. Oh Bexley is so cute, so so cute.

I'm a warrior of 3 auto immune diseases, Ankolysing spondylitis, which is one of them this is genetic. This affects the lower spine and is also known as HLAB27. X-rays and bloods are the way to find out if this is the case. For me, my L5 S1 vertebrae is compressed. This is extremely painful. My advice to you is to write down the questions you need answering, because you can go in and forget something that may be important. It's better to do this because there is nothing worse than leaving the Dr's, and you get the light bulb moment. Hey. Eli. Sorry your in pain. I totally know how it feels. I have been in pain for 9 months. Found out I have degenerative bone thinning, arthritis, pinched nerve and a disc bulge causing constant pain from the waist down. Been living with a heat pad and had to use ice as well. Totally helps. I was told surgery as well. I’m now going to Physio and there’s a machine that has straps around your upper body and has things connected to a machine that pulls you. Oh my goodness it’s helping. Strongly recommend that. Or swimming is good to. Again totally feel your pain. Try the heat and ice. Hang in there as well.

I have heart conditions and had a 6 hour spinal fusion surgery in Sept 2021... I am totally fine!!! They would make sure the right people are there to support during surgery and recovery. They had a specialist cardiologist and anesthesiologist in when I had my op so I was well looked after❤️🔩 I now have two rods and 16 screws holding me up!!!

I’ve lived with back issues since I was 9 orthopedics are more helpful than chiropractics with my issues. I’m 50 & had 2 back surgeries helped a lil but not a fix. The TENS units helps some. Look into TENS units & you can get the without prescription but since you had heart issues consult your heart doctor first.
Lacey i think just being there for Eli will help him out so much. I have a bad back and knees and the support from my hubs is the best. Eli I hope you feel better soon and get your back sorted. They say acupuncture may help. I never tried it but thought about it.

I have serious back and hip pain, I will tell you easy things to do to help is take ibuprofen it helps with inflammation. Also, ice helps with it as well. Sometimes, heat makes it worse. Also, if you can invest in a tens unit, it is so worth it. I couldn't walk for almost 3 months, and the tens unit was the only way I could get up yo even get to the bathroom. Prayers he finds out what's going on, and it's nothing serious!

Eli, my Grandad was an osteopath. He always said that if you use a damp heat on it, the heat penetrates deep into the tissues and nerves and will help with the pain. The microwave warmers on it really work to help relax everything.

If he has to have surgery now, as an early 20 year old, the outcomes are in your favor! I had 2 slipped disks in my neck and now 6 months later, I'm a lot better than where I was! Invest in your health NOW! Your body will heal a lot faster than it will late into your 30s. Plus the healing rate is 6-8 weeks rather than 6-8 months with fusion. With heart patients, they bring up a level of care! Meaning they will make sure absolutely nothing makes the heart go. Modern Medicine has come a very long way since 2010. You'd be surprised the outcomes of any surgery at this age. Eli will over come this hurdle faster than you can blink. Don't stress, think positively and a positive outcome will happen.
I hate to b a spoiler but an operation does always correct the slip disc. I have an that had many slip disc operations. She had several bones removed to put where the slip disc’s were. By the time she died she had to wear a neck brace all the time. She would wrap the brace with colored scarves. I do hope he gets better. I know what back pain feels like. Bexley has grown so much. She’s a cross between the both of u. She’s adorable

Also, if you can invest in a tens unit, it is so worth it. I couldn't walk for almost 3 months, and the tens unit was the only way I could get up yo even get to the bathroom. Prayers he finds out what's going on, and it's nothing serious!

Eli, my Grandad was an osteopath. He always said that if you use a damp heat on it, the heat penetrates deep into the tissues and nerves and will help with the pain. The microwave warmers on it really work to help relax everything.
You are right I have always been told to use hot wet or stand in a hot shower and cold for pain.

I hate to b a spoiler but an operation does always correct the slip disc. I have an that had many slip disc operations. She had several bones removed to put where the slip disc’s were. By the time she died she had to wear a neck brace all the time. She would wrap the brace with colored scarves. I do hope he gets better. I know what back pain feels like. Bexley has grown so much. She’s a cross between the both of u. She’s adorable
