How do you minimize the edges or rice paper so they are not thick looking and obvious?

You’ll need to cut a portion out in order to fold and overlap around the corner. I seal an extra coat or two over them to keep them down 😊

This is soooo cute! Love the colors! Is it true that I can't use gator Hyde over transfers, because it dries quickly and it messes up the transfers?

You CAN use Gator Hide, I just personally recommend the other clear coats because of the work time, yes
