    Last month, the New Jersey Transportation Heritage Center brought out their fleet for a showcase of sorts. All kinds of vintage buses were on display for this 1st annual event.
    What you'll see here is 1982-1984 MCI MC-9 6106 making its way to the Lakewood Bus Terminal.
    The buses that were at the open house showcase is as follows.

    That has the 6v92 in it. Easy to tell by the sound.

    It's a 1982-84 MCI MC9A Crusader ii Commuter Coach it can be ordered either a two piece door like 6106 or a regular MCI MC9A Crusader ii Coach with the bathroom known as the MC9 J-A series with any engine and Transmission combination from Motor Coach Industries or Transportation Manufacturing Corporation TMC MCI

      I remember this bus as a kid... And riding it well into the early 1990's. I recall it had ashtrays built into the armrests. But by the late 1980's, the ashtrays had a metal cap covering permanently shut, obviously to let people know that smoking was no longer allowed (in my state, that is, of New Jersey). Did this series have what I'm talking about? You seem to know this bus and probably many others...

    That sounds like a Series 71 or Series 92.
