You got this one hands down in my opinion, you absolutely nailed the old classic rally style and look. It is always fun to watch you go through your process of creating unique rides, and this one should go in to the SBG hall of fame.
I like these 24-hour builds you guys do. Especially with how you have 3 other builds you're working on for road to rockies. Now I will go watch Josh's build. It's a Great looking rally car.
Incredible as always! My brother got me the snap-on factory 5 hot rod pick-up for Christmas a couple years ago and its basically been a shelf queen because I don't want to ruin the body. I've had a clear body sitting on a shelf for a year waiting to be painted and your build has definitely inspired me to try and do something similar to yours. I love your monthly mayhem builds, well all your videos, but especially the mayhem builds. Thank you for the inspiration, and all the great videos.
One of your best videos yet buddy! I remember when the scale stuff first started we were all building everything by hand from styrene, using Flywheels toys for a better scale look. Or doing the ol cut and shut on some 2.2 tires, removing the outer bead to narrow wheels. Now with the 3D printer and scanners this hobby seems to have no limits and I love it!! Keep doing what your doing man!
Meant to tell you, this has been my favorite mayhem you guys have done in a good while! Both did great but I definitely give you the W on this one. Such a cool looking build and so unique!
Fantastic work by both of you and you just keep stretching the limit on creativity and functionality! Thanks for the great detailed step by step process that each of you took to achieve such inspiring rigs!! Most excellent Jobs!!! Keep them coming!!!
I’d like to see a viewer participation version of the Mayhem challenges. You could have people register ahead of time and buy the cars on their own, then allow them to build along with you and submit a short build video. Lots of free content for you and more exposure (and product sales) for the companies that you are promoting.
@@CornholioMcGeeRC That’s definitely true for the challenges with a small time window. A longer challenge, like the vanquish speed builds would be easier because the final directions could be sent out at a set day and submissions would have to be in on a hard deadline.
FANTASTIC! Absolutely love the 24hr of Mayhem. And I believe that you positively NAILED it, Matt. True creative inspiration, and the talent to bring it to fruition. Off to see what Josh created, but I'd say that he has his work cut out for him to best this one...
The number/registration plates were front and rear silver on black no Euro insignia so silver numbers first then letters, the rallye plaque's were mounted on the front and rear fenders on brackets, and the most important part on the hood the leather buckled straps to keep the bonnet "hood to you". All joking aside very well done.
Hi Matt! Cool build. Enjoyed it very much! I do like to watch how you and Josh have different approaches to these builds. Makes for more interesting content. Thanks Sir!! ❤️
That transformation was amazing. I personally thought the bonnet louvres weren't needed and maybe mount the rally plaque on a wheel arch more upright but other than that, amazing.
DUDE. Such a good job on this. I think I would try a 24 hour madness type thing hahahaha. I do like these..... Hahahaha. Amazing work. Great style. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😎👍👍
Matt You Got the points for the looks but Josh got the points for the Rally , cause you need that dirt flying effect to look authentic but all in all your both the winners here both cars look amazing and the two of you will hopefully never stop with all the activities and shenanigans that you both are so good at basically we all love what you guys do from Down here in Australia thanks for making RC that bit more Fun 🙂
Definitely one of the funer mayhems as it was a simpler challenge. As even with Josh's more advanced technical knowledge the chassis was never going to gain much ground clearance or suspension travel. As for the looks and filming you absolutely crushed it. Josh's choice of music was cooler though. One of these mayhems would be fun to do, but getting parts in a reasonable time is tough where I live.
Very cool liking the finished job! Would look awesome fitting that shell on a drift car! And have a few sets of those tyres from ebay though but they're pretty goot off road. 😁👌
Both vehicles are awesome , it’s great when you and Josh do these type of videos. I think those fms military jeep wheels would have completed the look of both vehicles though. Awesome job 😊
Both builds are amazing. Hand's down Matt has this but really like the Josh's idea as well. Maybe someday you guys build a vehicle for each other without telling each other what you're building
Amazing build, I had to go back to the start of the video for a comparison. I take good note of it and will use a few thing in next build, I have a Tamiya street rover that I keep turning ideas on, but no yet started.
Hi Matt. I must say, while I enjoyed watching both you and Josh having different approaches on this challenge, you got this one in the bag. You are missing a little wheel speed. 😎👍
Hey man that looks so sweet!! And I appreciate how you told josh that his looked good…. Just kidding his did turn out good but this kind of thing is where your skill set shines!!! I lean more towards the performance side myself but really like to see you work!! 👍
Traxxas 4-Tec 3.0 ( like the hot rod) don't have the regular 255mm wheelbase the rally bodies have ( 4-Tec 2.0 has the right 255mm for that purpose). Great Work again Matt! Looking foward for more of these!!!
I’d love to turn one of these into the ZZ TOP Eliminator 34 ford.
Man awesome idea!
Cool idea!
Wouldn't take much - just a paint job and wheels. The coupe is already the right body style.
You got this one hands down in my opinion, you absolutely nailed the old classic rally style and look. It is always fun to watch you go through your process of creating unique rides, and this one should go in to the SBG hall of fame.
Wow! Thank you!
Looking sweet Josh really love the channel 👍 keep up the good work 💪 for RUclips 😂

just wow im amazed at that! beautiful!
Thank you!
Who knew pine needles would add so much to the running video. Definitely a home run on both the build and running video.
Thanks for watching!
Great video, looks like you had a lot of fun.
I bought the clear body coupe and did a California Kid paint job.
Very cool!
I watched👀the first five minutes of this video then⏭️fast-forwarded through to the end until I started to see some action...🤘🏼💯✔️
Sounds like you missed a lot of opportunities to learn a few things. You should go back and watch.

Thanks! 3D printing has been a game changer for me!
Absolutely amazing results🎉 on both parts! I'm a big fan of both mayhem formats!
Thank you!
Meant to tell you, this has been my favorite mayhem you guys have done in a good while! Both did great but I definitely give you the W on this one. Such a cool looking build and so unique!
Thank you! It was a lot of fun, partly because I think we didn't take it too seriously!
Fantastic work by both of you and you just keep stretching the limit on creativity and functionality! Thanks for the great detailed step by step process that each of you took to achieve such inspiring rigs!! Most excellent Jobs!!! Keep them coming!!!
Thank you so much!
looks awesome, great job. thats 1 way to cut into your road to the rockies time.
Omg.... I know... time's ticking!
Awesome! I can appreciate your passion for the hobby

Thanks for the suggestion!
This mayhem was awsome. I now want to do a build with that platform. Great transformation and as always LOVE your running video.🙂👍👍👍
Go for it! Thanks for watching!
Now that was a lot of fun to watch. Really nice running video too, awesome work ;)
Thank you!
The “power slide” had me laughing out loud!
Amazing how the car looks British. Very well done sir, love this series! Has to be my favorite you've ever built. It just works.
That's high praise indeed! Thank you!
As always Matt superbly executed. Way to think outside the bun.
Thank you!
Awesome build Definitely looks from the 30's time period Thanks for the videos
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for doing these builds. Highly entertaining!
Thanks for watching!
Great job Matt ! I can't believe you were able to build that in 24hrs. No one would ever know that you started with a Traxxas. Thank you for the video

Many loves for this!! 😊
Great video Matt, I especially loved the soundtrack!

Loved the video and loving the series. Any build videos reality, dont much care about build time. 🤙
Great running video as well!
That sick!! Well done.
wow, what a beautiful build, absolutely stunning.

I would love to have the talent to come up with this type of conversion. Awesome work!!

Wow 👏 absolutely amazing 👌
Really cool build turned out awesome, really cool idea to do a build off with a friend with these. Keep up the great work.
Thanks! There are already a few people that are doing build offs because of this... glad to inspire anyone that's interested!
That’s awesome Matt, you’ve got some insane skills my friend.
Thank you!
awesome job, the details are great as usual.
Hi Matt! Cool build. Enjoyed it very much! I do like to watch how you and Josh have different approaches to these builds. Makes for more interesting content. Thanks Sir!! ❤️

thoroughly enjoyed the build Bravo Zulu another excellent piece of art

That is totally awesome! It really opens my eyes up to the possibilities of creating something so rad! Thanks!!

They're definitely fun, and this one had a lot less pressure than previous mayhems! Where do you live?

You killed it! Excellent work and running footage!
Thank you!
Great job! Very cool!
I like your attention to detail. That looks so rad!
Thank you!
I’ve been running a 4tec 2.0 for dirt rally racing. It’s bombproof, once you make a few changes.
You had me at big power! Lol

😁👌
Just love it! Really great job there (not that I thought otherwise…).
Thank you!
Loving all the mayhem! This project came out amazing. Now off to Josh👍
Thanks for watching!
The next time you two are together should bring these cars to have a race!
We'll see each other in Colorado, but I don't know that I'll have room in my luggage!
Great vid ...I use Goo Gone for model rail track cleaning...
Smashing dude!
Awesome! Love it. Btw the heads of sewing pins make nice rivets
Ha! Of course! Where were you about a week ago when I needed you?! 😂
You did an amazing job - I think I have to give you the win on this Mayhem. It looks SO good in the rolling footage 👏👏👏

I really like the finish & style of this model. Great detail. I've been to plenty of British competition events & you've definitely replicated it. 👍
Thanks! My wife watches a lot of Downton Abbey!
@@scalebuildersguild Yes, I've done some car shows at that castle too! 😁
Ok, my imagination is rolling now. I have ordered some cheap ABS classic car bodies...🙄

Damn! You're hands are super steady!
I only drink 1-2 cups of coffee a day!

Amazing like always. Skills!!! Only thing for me with all the period correctness is the wheels. Wish they were old school
Love this one!!!
That turned out amazing
Thank you!
What a fantastic conversion! Well done.

Freaking out standing.. love what you did with it.

Got to love the generic RUclips music of this age, "Whoa whoa whoa! Whoa whoa whoa!" Beautiful job as ever Matt!
Believe it or not, I pay money to play this music! 😂
@@scalebuildersguild 🤣
Kyosho has a 1970 El Camino, they brought out a rally kit, thought that would make an awesome combo
Been wanting to do one with the fenders cut with exhaust and intake out the hood
i'm new to air brushing, what's the best way to clean out your air brush? i've seen water being used and air brush cleaner.
I run water through it a few times as long as you're using acrylic paint. I also regularly tear the whole thing down and clean it, part by part.
@@scalebuildersguild thank you
Awesome, love the dedication to ken Block
Ah yes, the rally rod. Looks fantastic matt
Thank you!
Nice love how the class 1 came out!!
Thank you!
Pure awesomeness!

Agreed! Thanks for watching!
Hay you and josh should enter them in for road to the rockies show n shine section 👍
You guys should do the K5 blazer from FMS next . maybe a mini mudding truck.
I love this it's inspiring I hope you keep doing this kind of stuff it makes me want to do this stuff to my own RC
What part is that tamiya interior amd where did you get the heads for it plz?

You definitely have some skills brother! I despise lexan, probably cause I suck at painting and trimming😂
Thank you! It definitely takes some getting used to!
thats awesome! the passenger needs to be put on a servo so he can bounce up and down for more realism lmao
Sewing pin heads work pretty good for cosmetic rivets.
Great tip!
Matt’s project makes me think of the Falfer Domino rally car in the PS3 game Motorstorm Pacific Rift.
