    On the ideal logics... How can you tell which part is gone when it vibrates? For e.g. if I put boiler in low mode and it vibrates/ does this mean gas valve? And in high/does this mean burner? The way to differentiate between the two has always confused me! Have you come across this? 👍
    (Vibrate and rumble through ignition and for a few minutes at random intervals)

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  3 месяца назад +4

      I've had it before to be either one! Usually though the low rumbling tends to be the burner and if it whistles then it's more likely the gas valve

    that ideal, was that left screw on condensate door over tightened by someone previously? or did the plastic just go. be nice to know. stick a screw in there and see if it moves. good luck on that sump change they are a pita. you can gain a few mill by losening the heat exchanger from the boiler casing but you probably know.
    i always change the bearing plate on bosch too on a full stripdown with service kit.
    great videos as usual.

    Hey mate thought I recognised that house I went there for ideal 😂 in Brentwood wasnt it? I replaced burner had reverb on low rate partially blocked if I remember rightly

      Yes mate that's the one! They said they've not had anymore issues since so the new burner must have sorted it. Thanks! 👊🏾

      What’s reverb on low rate? What was partially blocked? Thanks

      @markchristohperowen6806 3 месяца назад +1

      @@gasnewbie1941 reverb is when you get a vibrating sound whirring hard to describe. youll know it when you hear it.. burner is blocked or what i was told and you can test it theres a plate you can see from where the fan conects with circular holes in it, its spot welded and you can see where on the top of the burner. one of the spot welds back left as the burner sits in the boiler as i recall fails sometimes. stick your finger in there and see if it moves. cant remember if it was reverb on high or low rate. maybe the ideal guy can confirm. i scrached my head on that one for sure. ideal support were brilliant as usual.

    When I last spoke to ideal they said providing burner seal is intact and no damage. Can be re-used . I always carry one just incase. Also told not to do sweep inside 'ONLY FI' 🤷🏻‍♂️👊🏻

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  3 месяца назад +2

      Yup they advise not to do a sweep test because the burner gasket is porous and they allow up to 50ppm (I think) around it. Madness that a boiler manufacturer allows that, but then again they also let their boilers overheat and catch fire so doesn't speak much for their quality assurance standards 😂

    • @garethdavid7827
      @garethdavid7827 3 месяца назад +1

      I know it's absolute madness..... keep it up 👊🏻

    • @markchristohperowen6806
      @markchristohperowen6806 3 месяца назад +1

      @@cputilitysolutions thats a bit unfair i think. ideal have been pro active on getting that sorted didnt push blame onto service guys or installers and took it on the chin, more than i can say vaillant and glowworm did back in the day. blaming everyone exept themselves. do you remember when they came from the factory with rubber heat exchanger door seals seals before they changed it to graphite with lock nuts (your probably too young), prior to that do you remember them putting rubber pipes with jubilee clips on flow and return from the heat exchanger as a quick fix for noise problems.

  • @daviddavues1677

    How much do you charge for service and strip down service?

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  3 месяца назад +1

      Within my local area £80+vat for a standard service and £160+vat for full strip down. Parts, service kits, etc are additional if required

    • @lewisconway6431
      @lewisconway6431 3 месяца назад +1

      I'm undercharging!! I only quoted 100 for a full strip down . It was a logic though which are easy to get apart plus I'm not running a business I'm doing it as a spiv

    Looks like that Worcester you went to was a very bad installation crusty flue think it was fitted with 13amp plug gas valve to boiler in 15mm just didn’t look a good install really but hey what can you say it’s a Worcester boiler lol….good video m8t you look a decent lad with nice family respect..🙏
