I completely agree with you. History is very important. I liked it during my 10th grade due to my teacher and after that through my reading and podcasts and all only, i was able to stay connected with it.
Yez History is important but in most schools there is no great way to teach history. Just replicating answers in exam won't give you idea how history occured. Teaching approach should be changed because history is pretty interesting subject.
