Love Rotel. I’ve been using my Rotel recover since early June. The model I have is the 1056. And I’m using that receiver to power my Klipsch speakers. That pairing is a killer setup. I mainly use the receiver to listen to my vinyl records.

Hi need some advice, I have the Denon AVR-X3700H, Am looking to get a External amplifier, My top 2 choices are the Rotel 1585, Or The Emotiva XPA-DR3 Reference Three-Channel Power Amplifier, I know the Rotel 1585 has 5ch at 200 watts per ch at 8omh, And the Emotiva is a 3ch at 450watts per ch at 8omh, Any recommendations?

I believe Rotel has double binding posts for bi Amping. Also, they are capable of running speakers like the axiom lfr1100s that require power to 2 areas of the speaker. The axioms need power for the front drivers and the back ones separately since they are omni directional.

I bought one a few years ago. This amp is current limited as a form of protection against driving very low impedance speakers. The RB-1582MkII is a better unit to be honest and is 200watts into 8 ohms and 300 watts into 6 ohms.

Its the pre-amp that determins the sounds, monoblocks or amps just amplify what they are given, they make no sound, just clean it up and make it louder.......
Think, guitar, to preamp, adjust the sound, then to amp to make louder then to speaker to listen to.......
It has no apps, its an amplifier, its like saying what apps has a toaster, toasters just make things hotter like amps do to rooms.......

I bought one it stoped working couple years later for no reason literally contacted rotel directly the tech and they told me cost more to fix it then it was worth so it was a big 80 lb paper weight never bought from then again
How can a couple of transistors and capacators cost more than 10k to replace?........ they just want to sell you a new one (if your rich enough to buy 1, you can pony up and buy another (american thinking)) its all a big con...
Take it else where, where someone compatent/honest can resolder the "dry or cracked" joint on the motherboard, thats all it will be.........

Class ab are the best...... you can keep the rest with their digital fukkery and clip limiting didgitization..... i have both and can hear the difference between the 2..........
