Hey everyone, just getting back into it, lots to report! It's fully functional made some parts for my truck. Coming up outputs wiring and config. minor hiccups with feeds and speeds. Hopefully a concrete spindle setup with 10.5 pwm. Huge hurdle for me, running on a tight budget. lol

hello DZ mech, im really hoping you can help me out, i cant seem to get this controller working, i can get packets being sent from the nvem v2 but when i start up mach3 packets being sent to the nvem stop and i can figger out why, im running windows 10 64bit, iv tried replacing the cable every thing seems to be working fine but as i said it just dosent want to talk to the controller Edit I'm now getting a chose bin file message so I'm at a lose
On the 64 bit version of windows they had to put a “ sub “ programs folder for older programs for compatibility. There’s the programs folder where all your new apps install to, but there’s still a folder for all the old programs that run on 32-bit It seems to only like 32 bit. I had to do this on mine I went as far as wiping the system and just putting win 7 32 bit on it. Not sure but I may have mentioned it in one of the videos Honestly I haven’t even touched my cncs since the last video 2019 was a terrible year for me.. went through a separation moved (new garage) truck blew up dog died (miss him lots) pretty much the basics of a sad country song...🥲😅.
Thanks!!! Just got my V2 from Aliexpress with a damaged CD so it took a while to find the driver and a manual which sadly is for V1. In that V1 manual the IP address for LAN is 192.168.31.11 but that apparently does not work for V2 (?) though it replies to ping alright. You use IP 192.168.1.11 and that works here too but that means I need to disable the wifi adapter as my router uses the same 192.168.1.X address space. I haven't been able to find any address for LAN that would allow me to use both LAN and wifi at the same time without changing routers address space and I just can't do that because of other stuff. In this DELL laptop the wifi adapter is automatically disabled if a network cable is attached to the computer based on a selection in bios parameters. I did not see your ASUS wifi adapter get disabled when you connected the network cable. Can you use both at the same time?
Hey Yes I can I'm using an old skool Toshiba though. not too sure on how I'd go about getting around that. Myself I'd try a ipconfig release and mess around that route the computer may issue a new ip but.. tread lightly on that one lol it might just mess up what you have setup there...

I think it may be the licensing file from Mach 3 I’ll have to confirm that though What windows are you using? And is it the nvum or Nvem? Nvum is the usb version I believe

@@bassamawnyh make sure to get the plugin file and put it in the appropriate folder in mach 3. go into properties of mach 3 and set run as administrator. also make sure you've installed mach on the 32-bit side of windows if you're running 64 bit shouldn't be a huge problem... but just in case and run as administrator. when starting mach 3 you should have a popup that says novosun novosun version 2.** make sure that box is checked hit ok if it lets you past this, should be good.. connect to the internet with your wifi quick the rest button in mach 3 if it stops you in this where does it stop you? I looked through the mach 3 folder only bin files i see are input and outputs... I'm gonna reload mach on my computer and see if they show up in the original install also I think i sais in one of the long winded videos.. version mach 3 to use 3.42.2 not the newest version... I forgot and fell victim to this myself on a new install last week. lol
@DZ Mech actually that's what I did through the last weeks. I copied the necessary files into the plug-in folder in the Mach3 directory. And yes, I selected novonsun plug-in when the windows popped up. After that, another Windows pop-up asked about bin file. Do you have the bin file for nvem v2 controller?
@@christophervargasschebesta3752 that’s going to be a tough one… they said in the manual pin outs are pre configured so you might have to see if there’s an index input for the spindle I haven’t gotten out to look at mine I lost the test Nvem in the move 😬
Has anybody tried it with a crossover cable? I.E. direct connection from the PC to the controller and without a hub. For me, it just won't work. I found the issue. I had to switch off the Windows Firewall. Now its peachy!!!
Do you have the right plug in? there was an instance where one of the Nvems was a v1 try reinstalling with version 1 plugin disable your motors so no crashing occurs. and retry. Also cycle the stop button see if that helps.
Good Call! I totally forgot about Part 0! Part 0 is power supply make sure you have 12V-32V DC. Make sure you have the red led lit behind the power input terminals. Connect a switch to estop pins. Then follow the instructions from part 1 on. make sure your ethernet cable is good.

Try setting everything up in programx86 folder in windows and run as administrator and windows compatibility mode

It seems to only like 32 bit.

i could fix it with the firewall, you have to allow permisions to the mach3. i have window 10 and its works

@@DZMech in my case the problema was that laptop not recognize it. I solve the problem allow permission of the firewall.
