@@heroricspiritfreinen38 There's a difference between maintaining an extremely solid position for a long grind, making a single relatively subtle error, and immediately being punished with the prospect of a game where you'll get checkmated in 30 moves as opposed to blundering mate to a tactic and making mistakes back and forth throughout a game.
Although it is kinda unfair this comment. Unlike other times, Hikaru this time was not pushing for a win. Let's give credit to Ding, as he truely was squeezing water from stones.
I’ve watched more than 100 of your chess videos and my chess rating have nvr passed 1000 on chess.com😂😂😂guessed I’m really here just to enjoy the show😂😂

Hey agadmator, long message incoming! Before I get into my big message, here's a smaller one of appreciation: thank you for what you do. I only started looking into chess a few weeks ago, but now I spend hours a day on your channel, waking up thinking about chess and falling asleep thinking about it. I haven't had much of an opportunity to play and practice since I'm not really a fan of online chess, but just by watching your videos, I've improved a TON. I'm starting to see new lines of attack and defense, explore lines I wouldn't even have thought to otherwise, hang my pieces less often, and just so many little things. So again, thank you for helping bring this game to me and so many other people in such a wonderful way. Anyways. I just beat my friend in chess for the first time last night! I played what felt like my best game yet, having a good opening, middle, and end game, and from what I remember, pretty much zero blunders (at least none that were majorly punished anyways lol). We played what would be considered a classical game, but neither of us would take more than 5-10 minutes for a move out of courtesy and time reasons. I just started playing chess a few weeks ago and he played a fair bit since he was a kid, so I'm pretty proud of myself for winning against him. I started playing with some of my friends a few weeks ago and I only beat one of my friends the first time. Second time, I beat two, and now the fourth time around I beat the one guy I couldn't. I'm really proud of myself! I haven't played any chess online or with my family, so I only get to play like once a week and I don't get much practice. I saw him playing chess on his phone, which means he's been playing in his down time while I haven't, so I knew it wasn't going to be easy, especially him being a much more experienced player than I. He opened with d4, which he had opened with e4 is every other game I've played against him and every other game I've seen him play against my friends, so this threw me off (he later said it threw him off because he wanted to try something new, so we were both equally surprised). But I responded pretty well, taking good space and developing nicely, didn't even have to sacrifice much. I set up my first queen trade that game, too! It was at a point my friend didn't expect and it favored me (he had taken a pawn and both my bishops, but I had both his knights, one of his bishops, and a superior position on the board). I played well though the middle game, making good moves my friend didn't calculate for. At one point, I was in really dire straights with a lot of my pieces attacked and I couldn't defend them all, so I did my best to defend them while also setting up a checkmate on him. He saw it one move before I would've executed it, which I figured he would, but that was all I needed to gain a nice tempo on him and get my pieces into better positions. From there, I traded down in material to the endgame, as I was up in pieces and I liked my position. I played a good endgame as well, checkmating him and putting him in zugzwang at one point. He said I made the one move that foiled his plans of mating me and he didn't even see it coming. That felt really good to hear, especially since he always had this bit of smugness like he was better than everyone whenever he played. I think I'm going to start transcribing my games to look back on and learn from as well to track my progress. Again, thank you for your videos Antonio, they mean a lot to me. Also, thanks to anyone else who read this novel of a RUclips comment lol.

Thank you! This is the game I missed this morning. Learning Things * I play the Ruy Lopez, I am not as familiar with the Berlin as I should be. I assume people are going to play a3, the Morphy Defense. * I would have taken with the Bishop rather than the Pawn. * The maneuvering of Knights is interesting to me. * *** When the World Champion says that the King should go to the other side, and Grandmaster Liren actually does it, playing as well as he did throughout the 80 moves of this game, we know that Grandmaster Ding is as sharp as anyone out there. A great game by both!

As a beginner I would have liked an explanation on why king to B7 was necessary?
First, it takes the king over to the safer side of the board. Second, it frees up maneuvering room on the kingside, where Black's best attacking chances are. If White SHOULD somehow break through, it would be on the kingside. By that time, Black's king is tucked away on the far queenside, with some protection from his pawns.
