I watched them build Diamond Valley reservoir. This is great news. Now watch the politicians tell you to stop using water. Again. They will never stop.

The rainwater replenishes Lopez Lake in SLO. Why are they not saving the water and storing it, and letting it flow back into the ocean? Seems like a waste, when a solution presented itself to fight CA drought.

Wait.. why are they just now filling it. We are at the end of the rainy season. Shouldn't we have started this at the beginning?

No, because the snow pack is double normal. A lot more water will be coming.

Actually, it will continue to fill until it is filled up by the end of the year, as clearly indicated in the narration.

I have a question for anyone that knows. The video wasn't clear but where is the water coming from that they are pumping into the lake there?

@@bonnieprice9482 8 ft must be the very low end but then this is S. Cali. Donnor to Mammoth more like 60 to 80 some ft.

Basically upstream from higher elevations than the local reservoir. Better news is this will continue through spring into summer as the snow pack melts. Still a great idea to save water and allow farmers to use to grow food rather than dump into the ocean.

@@bonnieprice9482 No. Diamond Valley lake is primarily fed by storm runoff and meltwater from the San Bernardino Mountains.

They have 10 years of water supply in some parts of California.
That being said desertification is a problem globally, and in addition to conservation we can innovate solutions, such as evaporation stations in other areas, to combat this.

This seems to be a very common misconception, the tectonic plates are moving almost tangentially to the coast or inwards towards the mountains. I explained this to a person with a low IQ a few days ago, but I guess yo mama has not had the chance to talk to you about it yet.
