Can't fix a leak if you don't have the water to show the leak. It's leaky seals and within tolerances.

Facts: Lake Oriville’s Spillway broke in 2017, not for an Engineering problem, rather the fact due to age. 1961, the State of California was negligent in keeping up with infrastructure. Shasta Dam is no different, it was built in 1944, 79 years ago!!!

The last Governor that really did anything about these matters was the one who helped build the "Governor Edmund G. Brown California Aqueduct." and Governor Brown called that, "Responsilbe Liberalism." There is a picture of Governor Brown with President Kennedy together at the start of those projects, totally different type of Democrats! The last major reservoir built in California was the New Melones Reservorir in 1979, 44 years ago, when the population of California was 1/2 of what it is now! Governor Brown's son, Jerry, present Governor, Gruesome Newsom, and all the rest of those people in Sacramento are "Irresponsible Leftists," in comparison. I was born in San Francisco. I have been in California all my life! I bought a home in Georgia, it close escrow 3/24, and I am moveing in July!

what is the life span of the seal in the first place? any type seal will shrink or deteriorate due to weathering, in time like the rubber "O" ring. in this case, lack of moisture can cause even rapid cracks in the concrete cavity. nothing last forever.

Hear hear. Trickle down economics is total horseshit; it's time that we take back that those tax breaks for them ( Tax breaks that people were sold on by the promise that rich people would actually make investments in people's jobs and the economy if they were given those tax breaks) and take the extra money gained in tax revenue and make the innvestments ourselves that they're obviously not making and never did

2016 trump approved raising Shasta Dam for 1 billion after 30 years of studying the raise. All issues would have been addressed at that time but Gavin stopped the project for other silly projects. Note that record rains have happened since 2016 with all the water lost.
