He's always been a superb actor. The guy is just great in every role he's ever played. He's one of the few actors that you still want to watch even if the film is lousy.
Dourif’s breakout role was in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, so it’s not unreasonable that a bit of Nicholson might’ve rubbed off on him during the months they worked together.
Funny that you said that because Brad Dourif was really close in playing The Joker in Burton's Batman if Jack Nicolson had rejected it again for like the 3rd or 4th time.
Your voice as Chucky back then and the way you've done it for the new series is absolutely bone chilling and so frakkin good. Also Fionas performance in Dirk Gently was amazing. I watched season 1 5 times JUST for Bart lol
I was looking up old issues of Film Quarterly, looking for any Chris Marker interviews, and I came upon one with Brad on the cover. But he looked so much like Alan Delon in the shot I never thought twice it wasn't him. The whole look with the hat and cigarette...he was in Wise Blood then.
Wise Blood is so awesome I sometimes watch pieces of it over and again. The scene between Stanton and Dourif when Stanton is passing out those tracks is priceless. "Give up a dolla for Jesus!"
He also plays the character Saavedro in the Myst exile III. I was listening to the voice and I was look hold up.. Chucky? Apparently he's a huge Myst Fan.
Can you imagine him having grandkids and as they get older like 8-9 years of age have them see chucky but don’t tell them that’s him his voice and then one night just scare the living shit out of them with his voice 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I am pretty sure he gets annoyed when people ask him to do the chucky voice because he been doing so much for decades so i am sure he wants to rest his voice
I love so much the kind of voice he used for chucky from Childs Play to Bride of Chucky, kind of his normal voice. Then after that (Seed of Chucky to Chucky Syfy) he started to force his voice, sounding like scratchy ☹️
He for me will always be the voice of chucky,no disrespect to mark hamill. If I ever interviewed brad the one thing I would ask is if he could do the chucky laugh.
Brad is a very interesting guy, outside of acting and being Chucky. He was a Rhode scholar and a theater actor, as well. He seems very sharp and very down to earth.
I love Chuckys laugh but think he was a ruthless cruel killer doll ! Hes scary but funny at the same time as its werid having a doll killing and being evil !

How Brad Dourif played Chucky reminds me of how Dennis Hopper played Frank Booth in Blue Velvet.
