      That's a pretty ill-informed opinion... Sure, Marvel movies suck etc... But what about modern cinema like: Birdman, 3 billboards outside ebbing missouri, a serious man, no country for old men, the lobster, prisoners, the shape of water, you were never really here, the master, there will be blood, get out etc etc. Either you've never seen those films and therefore don't really deserve an opinion on modern cinema or you don't like those movies and that's sad...

      Me too...I'm a huge fan. Made my day. I was a little kid when it came out and I remember it very well because it was the only movie that had F words on regular TV. In Southern California way back in the 80's, channel 5 used to show it in it's entirety uncut. It would show a warning about foul language before it came back from commercial break. The movie is close to my heart and they better never..never remake it.

    Gene Hackman, Jack Nicholson, Albert Finney, and Al Pachino. That is a damn fine list of actors! Albert Finney didn't have as successful a career as the others did, but he did just fine I am sure. The actors who win these days are no where in the same league as these men.

    • @adamredfield
      @adamredfield 6 лет назад +29

      link004, One reason that Finney might seem less successful than the others is that Finney was (and is) a classically trained British stage actor. This is the first time that I viewed this and seeing Mr. Niven here was great. Plus hearing the others not able to be there in person and they are favorites of mine too. Hadn’t heard much about Twiggy for years now. These BAFTA awards are something that I didn’t know about for many years. Fun to watch them, especially in this 💩 year 2020.

      David was still a big star in the mid 70's. I remember seeing him in Murder By Death at the theater. His "autobios" were bestsellers. Unfortunately he would be dead in 8 short years after this clip. Life is fleeting, my friend. I was 8 when this clip was shot. At least I'm still around to type out inanities on youtube!

    My life has changed a lot since I encountered the movie, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
    It's one of the most influencial films along with other great movies such as Tokyo Story(Ozu),Seven Samurais(Kurosawa).
    I was really moved and my idea about movies has grown out into new profound one.
    I purchased Red Wing Boots Jack wore on the movie shortly after I watched the film.
