      As an avid video-game collector, I marveled as Nintendo 64's & Nintendo Gamecubes started fetching higher prices. It would appear, when regarding the 80' & 90's, collectors must find a way to stretch their wallets to meet the unenviable size of their gaping nostrils since the irresistible aroma of sweet nostalgia is rapidly growing with each passing year.
      Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go ahead and blow the dust off of a stack of (bagged & boarded) Spider-Man "Torment" Part-1's...

    Speaking of Jason Todd, Batman 357 (1st JT and Killer Croc) is also around $100 in 7-8.0 and even Star Wars 42 (1st Boba Fett) was only slightly above that right up until Mandalorian 2 premiered. Although both, particularly SW 42 are probably sailing above that mark now. Also for a cool version of Red Hood, check out the animated Batman: Ninja which can be found on RUclips. The character designs are stunning.

    I buy comics to read, if they end up being worth money like my former collection that is just a plus, i read it gently. then pack it away. like the Red Sonja Black white and red series they are doing. It was really enjoyable. But i also have Spawn, Green Lantern, Joker, Harley Quinn, the new X men 1 but its onl order becasue i wanted the special cover. but my old collection had punisher first appearance, as i was a massive punisher collector back in me teen and pre teen years. Sadly i let it go for far less than its value, and i keep all my stuff in 9+ quality. and look for books with no bends tears rips ruffles etc.

      @@CoMoComicBooks yeah i had a few other very nice ones. Like the 50th sliver surfers with special V3 cover, i had probally a dozen or more comics now worth 500 to thousands. The comic shop guy only gave me 150 in credit for his store. this was only about 2 yrs ago. I sold them to get my kid into a hobby we could do. So that was nice, but it would of been better had he been fair, gave me at least 25% of the value i know he needs to make money. but to mess someone over that had been out of the collecting comics game for 10 or more years was kinda wrong.

    Great video. Just happened upon it by chance and I like your method of presentation and especially like the fact that your list includes books from other publishers besides the big two. The collecting world has gone and gotten itself far too Marvel-centric for my liking and I am noticing this bias in many online forums. I am a seasoned collector/investor and look forward to more of your vids.
    On a side note, I think the Wolverine #1 from that first solo mini series is a bit undervalued. Despite being a darling in the comic community, I think this book should be commanding more than it currently is. Everyone is so hung up on Hulk 181 that the significance of this book seems to get overlooked. Even Wolverine #1 from the unlimited series is drawing comparable prices to the Claremont/Miller mini series #1 and there is something wrong with that. I expect this to change at some point.
    Cheers.

    • @CoMoComicBooks
      @CoMoComicBooks  3 года назад

      Miller Wolverine 1 is too cheap. Hell, it’s almost 40 years old! 2-4 also have some great covers and are treated like mincemeat. 1 has been holding the line around $100 for far too long. The ongoing is still a fair amount below it, but as the Bronze Age starts to price collectors out, look out for books like Wolverine 1 mini, ASM238, etc from the early 80s to start to get a bit more attention. Welcome back to You Tube CoMo! Moon Knight will be a bust. Cool character, but way too in depth (multiple personalities) for mainstream audience. A $100 budget won't cut it anymore. It's overprinted, modern era, no 1st appearance stuff. Most of the stuff you mentioned can't be purchased for $100 in a CGC 9.8 anyway. Buying these books without a 9.8 is DANGEROUS. Awesome stuff. Happy new years from an honest drunk, lol!

      DEFINITELY NOT 9.8 prices. All raw prices. MS28 is a great alternative for collectors who like Moon Knight, but can’t pull the trigger on WBN32. 9.8s are great if you want to maximize your potential for value increase, but a rising tide raises all ships.

      @CoMoComicBooks  3 года назад +1

      Hey Joe! I’m a fan a Hulk 340, but I would not hold my breath for a fast climb. It is a notable cover, from a legendary artist, featuring a super-star character, which means that it has been popular for a while now. I remember 15 years ago when a high grade raw copy would run $40-$50, now it will run you closer to $150. A 9.8 copy as a long term hold is a fairly safe bet, in my opinion, but there is no certainty. The bottom could fall out tomorrow. 😉
