Dating back around 4,500 years, this ancient Neolithic monument is now under the care of English Heritage and will finally be removed from England's heritage 'at risk' register. I was brought up in Yorkshire and, after a twenty year absence down South, I’ve been back for more than twenty years but I still didn’t know about the Thornborough Henges until a few months ago. I’m definitely going to visit in the next few months as it’s less than an hour’s drive from my home.
