After my last video people asked me to add the weight of a GoPro and test the flight time again. I did 12min with 3700mAh and was 6km. Had a failsafe once that's why I didn't go further... Bad signal today.

Hi! Awesome flying man!👌The reason your rx and video signal cutout was because when you turned around after circling the ship, your antenna was being blocked by the tall Li ion pack. To avoid this cutout, try and get a much longer antenna that's meant for long range fpv. Make sure it sits over the height of the battery. Keep it up!

Hahaha James d is completely right about you needing a longer antenna it happens all the time if you fly with a tall pack and short antenna all is well until you start to turn it back around and point towards yourself again. Ax2 long range antenna are the solution.
I really want to know how noticeable the freestyle capability differences are of the deadcat frame with the x frame
i believe its very little maybe even none, just take off is affected apparently. I want to know whether to get 7 inch or 5 inch :D
The main differences are in durability and the whole props in view thing. Other than that there’s little difference

I tested the exact same Lipo at the same drone (without Gopro) and I can fly well over 15+ min, at normal cruising speed :) very happy with it!

Is this drone with the default hardware or did you changed anything? In case you changed some parts, can you inform what you exactly did and if you're using o3, crossfire or elrs? And what about the module you're using in your radio? I'm sorry for so much questions, but i'm thinking about buying the F5 or F6.
Bad signal due to the tiny antenna hiding behind a giant battery, so turning the quad with the antenna away from you, and low to the ground, no wonder you got rx loss.
Nope. The quad failsafed facing antenna to myself. I was behind that giant buildings + got some interference from the 50 boats around probably. I was there before, today was different noise floor

Sweet flying Bro just got my evoke today and was wondering if the motor's are supposed to be all black one's and would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know what is supposed to be supplied in the pnp version as I am pretty sure that banggood sent me a box with less items and was gutted to find on closer inspection that the motor's have grinded marks on all four in the same place's, hope you can give me some advice, God bless and kindest regards Christian (aka) Cjthedj.
the grinded marks on the motors can be removed. just wiped mine off with fingers, looks clean now and the motors is all black no print by default..
@@Dalfpv my motor's bells are not all black one's they were just the standard one's with the writing around them and tried to wipe them but they are quite deep grooves regards cj
@@christiangustar2434 hmm if its sort of embossed it can be removed. But if its engraved then black paint is removed bell should change color. Ive seen it a few times on other unboxing vids. if its the same then put in some muscle ans Wipe it hard. It worked for me

I am using 6S and got 15 min cruising and 10 minute hard flight.
Are the motors and battery get any hot doing this with some speed? Btw gps rescue is amazing, i just ordered 2 more gps for the new builds
Battery was warm coming back, got hot afterwards because lack of wind. So, nothing to worry

Do you know at what level we should land? I just got two of these batteries and felt I wasn't getting that big of an increase. I fly the Titan XL. I normally get around 4-5mins of flight time with a 1550MAH battery. I was getting about 7mins of flight time with the 4000MAH, but I felt that landing at 21.0 might be too early? Let me know your thoughts thanks.
Check the current drawn. My 4000mah gets a soft throttle around 3000mah and I land at 3700mah with 2.9-3.0V per cell
The farther you fly the higher you fly is what every body says, but you are quite low, how did that work then.

I waited a bit longer until everything fully recovered, I was blind for 30 seconds or so

I have 2 evoques they are awesome to fly but I don’t have any range. I’ve done everything. I’m beginning to think I should have just got the analoged version. Caddx/ air unit is horrible with dji set up. I even upgraded all the antennas and did the hacks. I need that gps fail safe thing.
i had the same issues but did the following and now i have great range: 1200mW hack, TrueRC Matchstick CARBON Long LHCP RP-SMA on Nazgul and 2x TrueRC X-AIR II Patch LHCP on my DJI Goggles v2. I also set my Crossfire on 500mW. I did not try 6m like in the video but 4km no problem at all. GPS Rescue is a must have however for Long range flying

Did you limit power in betaflight or just used the standard config for that battery?
No don't use the limit, since it might not be enough when the Li-ion voltage drops at the end. You'll need the higher throttle
How come did you fly close to the ground or below light of sight without losing signal? Are you facing downward? I tried to cruise down the hills and I'm on the top of it but almost 100m only, i almost lost video feed. It was set on 1200mw btw.
You have to stay LOS (line of sight) and I've been using the iFlight CRYSTAL antenna for better range

@@markogania1891 no, just have the antenna facing your quad. If you still can't go far, I'd change antennas or pigtail as well as check the ipx connection on the DJI module on the drone

I fly the iFlight Crystal antenna on my Goggle, that gives me some more directional gain and reception.

Constant 35A which is enough for cruising. Goes up to 45A but it might overheat.

how much can I charge the Li-Ion Battery? also at 4,2V per cell? and how much can I discharge it during the flight? I read sth. about max. 2,5V per cell, so what voltage do you go down to?
Maximum 4.2v and I wouldn't fly much lower than 3.0V. You feel that throttle is getting soft at the end. If you have a 4000mAh battery, try to be landing around 3500mAh and then measure the voltage.

1C is always OK, so 4A for a 4000mah is fine.

I turned the output power up while it was coming back, watching it fly and then taking it over. I think rx reconnected back earlier but I was waiting for the telemetry audio altert

@@jfect2 no, I don't trust it. I set it to a value I think should work. But seriously, if it failsafes at 100mw at that distance, it would also do that on 500mw. Noise floor is important and also we gotta admit that I was behind those big towers.
What was the radio (crossfire) set to?

Set to 500mW then 1W. I guess the tall buildings blocked me as well as some interference on all channels. Crossfire and DJI went black the same time.
