"Beyond the Flow of Time" is my 18 track tribute album to one of my all time favorite games, Chrono Trigger! I worked on this pretty much all day and night through the second half of the summer, reliving so many wonderful memories throughout the process. A literally timeless adventure of a lifetime with fantastic music by Yasunori Mitsuda (and Nobuo Uematsu) that is still so unique to me. Happy to finally have covered this game and I hope you enjoy the album!

Suddenly I'm 13 again, sitting on the edge of my bed, staring at a 14" TV, shaky hands gripping the SNES controller, pulse pounding a mile a minute - and nothing in the world means more to me than changing history. Dude, you're killing it!
omfg yes! got me in the zone in that boss battle 🗣🗣🔥🔥
I also got Chrono trigger on my 13th birthday in 1995😊
But the future refused to change
Slaying Lavos remains one of the finest moments in all of gaming.
I just beat Chrono Trigger for the first time this week. This fight had me at the edge of my seat. Like one of those boss fights that are so epic it brings tears to your eyes, lol. If this game ever got a proper remaster/remake, I imagine this boss fight sounds a lot like this.
Nostalgia has nothing to do with it. This is one of the greatest video games ever created.
Sincerely happy to hear that new people discover CT to this day! It remains one of my absolute favorites, and I sometimes wonder if I'm blinded by nostalgia with some games, but with CT I think most agree it is literally a timeless classic.
@@PontusHultgren As a kid, I practically stumbled upon Chrono Trigger and was mesmerized. I decided at that time it was the greatest game ever made. Now as a father I've introduced my kids to a lot of my old games, and I noticed that many of them while still great games, really just didn't age well. I wasn't sure if how much, if any, Chrono Trigger might show its age. Surely it couldn't -still- be viewed as a greatest game ever made, could it?
Then I played it again, and unlike some other old games where time had worn down the rough edges in my mind, Chrono Trigger pointed out that time had only dulled my memory of how amazing it is.
It's still the greatest game ever made, and the unparalleled soundtrack unites it all in beautiful harmony. This music is amazing. I played your entire soundtrack for my kids and they all loved it too, instantly singing along with the melodies at the top of their lungs.
Probably the best remix of this song I've heard to date.
This is incredible. Everything from the guitar to the synths to the aggressive tone all sounds amazing alone but also adds to the feeling of a mysterious and otherworldly threat in contrast to the songs you've done from Chrono Trigger before. What a great soundtrack, and what a great arrangement!
Ayo, hold up. You got that rotating effect for Last Battle going.
Holy shit, THAT's attention to detail.
This absolutely rocks! High energy, a feeling of impending doom, it's got it all in my opinion. Wonderfully done!
After playing Octopath Traveler 1&2, World Revolution sounds like it's coming from those games, and it's amazing.
Aaaaa this sounds amazing, World Revolution is great, but Last Battle is so underrated and your version sounds fantastic.
This is very good.
Doesn't quite have the Mitsuda touch but still sounds classic and retro.
Great Job
Another worthy entry to the countless amazing arrangements this masterpiece of music has received
It's 1995....I'm 8 years old.....I've got Crono's Rainbow blade in his had, Frog's Masamune fully powered, Magus' darkest magic at my disposal......BRING IT YOU PARASITE!!!!!
Something I never noticed before: parts of this song sound very similar to Dancing Mad from FF6.
Esperé mucho por este momento!
amazing, CT music is still being remixed. great job!!!
Wow, you all definitely did justice to what I thought was just not possible to re-interpret professionally. The 2nd half of this is so amazing! Great job!
It's amazing. Thank you so much.
Good stuff as always. Keep up the great work 👍
Beautiful and epic rendition
Any chance we could get an upload with both songs separately?
Masterpice !!!!!!
One of the best games ever. I had played Final Fantasy 2 (4), FF3 (6), Secret of Mana, then this. It held its own and is worthy of being among the best.
I have this slight urge of wanting a remake for current generation consoles....but at the same time... I would rather them not. It would really do it an injustice. But who knows. FF7 Remake was NOT bad at all.
Remake was excellent. They did a fantastic job.
Pontus = GOD OF ALL AND EVERYTHING
omg such a good arrangement !
i love how you keep it very close to the original and made it sound so special too.
your mixing is top notch i can hear all instruments without all overlapping.
i loved how you have two main feelings the dark ominous orchestra one 00:55 and the hopeful battle 01:00
the battery is spectacular too. well done without being over the top.
the ominous orchestra reminded me to 'chaos legion' ost
Fuvk Final Fantasy 7. Give me a remake of this and Parasite Eve ffs
