Miskito have always been in Honduras the Garfuna have not . They were transported to Honduras. In a forced migration from Saint Vincent island after the slave rebellion against British colonizers as punishment . 1/3 of all Garfuna died on the voyage to Honduras from saint Vincient island in the Caribbean . This is why their Native American lineage is Arawak

My grandmother is mulata Garifuna and Mayan mix from Honduras 🇭🇳 sadly she didn’t had children with a Garifuna man she met my grandfather CostaRican 🇨🇷 Italian decent and had my mother in El Salvador 🇸🇻 that’s where they met and had there children and my mother left El Salvador back in 1982 move to Los Angeles and met my father a Castizo Colombian man so by the time me and my siblings were born the Garifuna blackness has faded away I’m 1/8th Garifuna my grandmother still speak Garifuna to us but we don’t understand it and when we go visit our Garifuna family back in la Ceiba They make fun of us cuz we light skin not black and the Garifuna culture most won’t accept us until they meet my grandmother they see we do have Garifuna blood it’s just fading away but I’m proud of my grandmother Garifuna culture music and heritage ✊🏽 🇭🇳

What part of Africa did they come from????
Garfuna lineage like Miskito lineage is from African men and Native American women . The language of Garfuna & Miskito are both Native American languages not African the food is mostly Native American with small influences of African culture . The dances are more related to African culture.
Garfuna descend from Arawak native Americans of the Caribbean who had lived in the Caribbean from South America for over a thousand years .
Miskito are of Native American lingeage of Central America genetics and the Caribbean some of the islands
Honduras was not a republic when the garinagu ancestors arrived thats why the Garifuna as an ethnic group are considered to be native to this land in Central America.
