I really enjoyed listening to you talk about the story solely for the passion in your voice. I love listening to people talk about the things they love so much. I haven't read the manga but I watched the first season of the anime. Really good story tbh
The very last bit of the manga really highlighted how Ill nakamura really was and how through proxy her illness was viewed to him as this above and beyond comprehensible mindset and through his search for purpose his psyche was distorted.
I love Ai too, but because we see her interaction with Takao at his grandfather's funeral. That feeling of loss, that people just move on when you're still right there.
Finished reading Flowers of Evil last night and this video is what I needed to put my thoughts in order because I ended up with mixed feelings about the manga, although I loved the last volume and started to understand what it was all about. Im sure I will reread it sooner than later, thank you so much for this amazing video!

This was a great discussion, I really hope you continue to do these!! I never really put this series on my radar because i thought it was a horror and i don't do horror lol. So i watched this not expecting to want to pick this up, but now i am really tempted to even tho i watched this. I may pick this up and tell my sister to read it since this is more her style.
Thank you for making this video! Reading The Flowers of Evil for the first time was one of the most enjoyable yet stressful, and then heart-wrenching, experiences I've had. Glad you appreciate the second half as much as me. It's incredibly important to show the struggles of dealing with trauma. I love this manga so much.
I just loved Flowers of Evil and I also read it in one sitting! Need to do a Re read ASAP I made my best friend read it cause I wanted to freak her out. Didn’t think she was going to like it and now she has copies of her own sitting on her shelve lol 😂 I feel so dumb cause I thought it jumped to him in college not high school. Also I could relate to that as well. My oldest roommate and me were so close. This guy liked her and I talked her into going out with him. She said he was ugly but I said give him a chance. Now she is not allowed to talk to me and they have been married for years with 3 kids. Great review!!! This one really messed with my head in the best of ways

I just re wacthed the anime then re read the latter half of the manga shuzo oshimi is my favorite author so far
there's also a special chapter in which is showed the thoughts inside Nakamura's head and her feelings. Did u know?
