Nice review, great tires. Just put a set on my 08 Tundra SR5 crewmax TRD off road and very satisfied so far. They are quiet, handle well and ride smoothly. They also look great on my truck in a 275 70 R18
I have owned several styles of Continental and General tires. The newer silica compounds are excellent. I had the Terrain Contacts AT's on 2 different Ram 1500 4wd pickups. I currently have the General APT on my Ram 1500 and my wife's Ram 2500 with the 6.7L Cummins. Her Cummins is very tough on tires. But the silica compound that both the Continental and General brands use. Is awesome! Good traction and long miles. These AT tires have been good in a hard rain and high wind on I-40 in Eastern New Mexico and Texas. I do believe the Continental LX series is better in the rain, snow and off road. But these Terrain Contact AT tires have a more confident feel. The only bad thing about these tires is; no 3PMS symbol! These tires are much better than many brands that do have the 3PMS symbol. The General ATX is really a different tire. Many of the sizes are different. I have the old AT2 on my project Jeep ZJ. And the enhance performance is very beneficial to the Jeep.
The Terrain Contacts aren't snow rated and they perform really well in the snow, ice and rain, now thats really impressive,I might have to try them on my Sequoia...
Cool snow review! I agree, tires need to last! I finally ordered a set of these for my Tundra and getting them installed this weekend. Can't wait to try them out in the rain. We don't get much snow in Texas. Contential makes great tires IMO. The Dunlop's that came on the truck are terrible...just trash. Great content on the channel

I'm confused, there are lots of folks on tire rack saying this Continental tire is downright "scary" in snow and ice. That is pushing me more toward the General Grabber ATX.
These came on my Jeep. Was going to replace them with mud tires but keep these around for ice covered roads during winter months. I'm surprised how well they work offroad given that they look like a more highway oriented AT tire
I was seriously considering these tires but Continental failed to get 3 Peak Snow rating on a tire they are marketing for snow traction. 3 Peak Rating is required in WA state to avoid chain requirements.
I just put them on my 3rd Generation Honda Pilot (2016 EX-L AWD), mainly for better traction in snow/rain (and even dry pavement!) but also -- along with the outstanding AWD the Pilot has -- for a bit more confidence (looks like a tougher tire than my OEM All-Seasons: Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport AS) when I'm off-road in the desert on weekends. -- BR
Need to replace the Michelin LTX AT2s that came OEM on my Super Duty FX4. I have no complaints with the Michelin tires, but I’m also open to any suggestions for other options. I pull a 20,000 lb 5th wheel camper frequently. I’ve not been disappointed with the Michelin tires even in the Vermont snow this winter. Not an everyday off road vehicle but I don’t care to get it dirty if need be. Again, I’m happy with the Michelins, but not a fanboy either, and an open to any other suggestions you might have for me? Love the videos, keep them coming.
Ok so I have an 05 Tahoe with 321000 miles. I run the 275/55 20 on it. I currently have hankook dynapro at2 on it. Had really great wear and traction. Going on around 40000 miles. Rotated 1 time. All still even. And im sitting at 5/32s. I'd like to see a headed to head between the continental and the hankook on tahoes. I got these on craigslist cause I couldn't get those.
Thanks for this test and 20k & 50k review as well. I'm on my 3rd set of 265/70R17 Defender LTX M/S on a '04 Dodge 2500. Stuck with this tire because of wet weather performance although lifespan has been 30-40k. I'd like to go to 315/70R17 at lower pressures along with 2" longer coils to smooth out the ride. In this size I see the TerrainContact A/T, Dynapro AT2, and Dynapro XT as tires that emphasize wet performance. Given your videos I'm leaning towards the TerrainContact. Your thoughts ? Great review! Would you say this tire is noticeably more highway oriented tire than KO2s? i just got KO2 but they are noisy and harsh for my 80-20 driving. thanks!
I am getting the Honda Pilot Trailsport with these tires. How would these tires hold up on very long highway roadtrip in summer? The Honda Pilot Trailsport is almost a 4800 lb vehicle on 265mm wide tires and I am concerned driving 800+ miles a day in summer might cause these all terrain tires to overheat.
