I love this man’s content so much. That fact that he’s able to give constructive criticism in a very calm and respectful manner while also fixing any drawing is so admirable and his tips were absolutely life changing when it came to drawing

i hope ppl know that he adds a LOT of minor changes to the final product, so the "after" is not immediately after the changes he specifically discussed. things he did not mention changing include: sharpening up of the eye area, thickening of the eyebrows, a whole ass rhinoplasty which does come from shadow work but if you just do as he said, you wouldn't get that, and complete reconstruction of the jaw (not just "points") and neck.

to be fair, if he mentioned and explained everything he did in the video it would probably be a lot longer. all the changes he did were proportional changes
i joined your doodle warriors art course 3 days ago and i watched about 5 lessons in one night. literally, WITHOUT ANY EXAGGERATION, just from 5 14-20 minute long videos, was able to go back and correct the proportions in my work that i never finished because they looked off and i gave up. ive been drawing for over ten years and definitely have not learned as much as i learned from JUST 5 of your lessons. you explain things extremely well and give great examples. its sooo easy to follow and you literally know exactly what every artist struggles with and how to solve each of those struggles somehow. im genuinely amazed and im just so glad i even found you at all. at first i thought the way you described your course would be too good to be true, but holy, im actually mind blown by how good it actually is. ive had art block for about 5 years and i feel like i may actually get out of it and enjoy art again because of you. from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much. if any of you are in a similar situation and struggle with drawing, the course is a little pricey in my opinion, but i genuinely find it completely worth it. it will save you so so so so much wasted time in practicing the wrong shit, and i swear im just some random person. i wasnt paid to say all of this at all. thank you angel thank you thank you thank yoy
It’s obvious that he did like more details off camera but those were just him in his art style but the main things like the lighting and proportions is what he mains in and is the most helpful
I learn more from these shorts you do than most 15 min art tutorials. I think seeing the mistakes and identifying them is much more helpful for learning than just being told what to do.
Still same as the other videos, but all your criticisms are genuinely helpful! It helps me understanding stuff much better when you explain the reason you fix something
Angel has always been amazing on giving constructive criticism from his "roasting" video days, but I love seeing how he's able to simplify his explanation even more, it's impressive how he's able to pack so much information in yt shorts, I'm glad I'm still here🖤
I have education in art and this channel teaches way more about drawing with shadow and light then any of the figure drawing or still life drawing classes did! You are a gem and I love learning from this series!
He cracked the code of fixing art without receiving a million comments about how everything was a stylistic choice 👏👏 People love to say bad anatomy is a choice, but you won't see anyone talking about how bad lighting/shading as one
I love the improvement, but one thing I noticed was that the reference is looking straight, while the head is tilted down. Meaning the iris should barely be touching the bottom lid. This also helps the drawing give off that intimidating feeling like the reference does. 😊
I think you did a great job fixing it but I think the reference itself is probably too complicated to tackle unless you are super, super experienced at shading/lighting, even though it looks simple.
You give such good, concise, constructive criticism that's respectful of the artist and understanding of the difficulty so it doesn't talk down to anybody, while also explaining the reasoning behind the choices you're making and not changing the style the work was originally done in while demonstrating the points you're making. And by doing that you're teaching the fundamentals and showing how they can be applied to any drawing, in any style. I love these short videos I learn so much and appreciate your kindness and skills every time.
I love how he explains and fixes what the artist has done wrong without changing the art style or anything. These videos are really informational and help with identifying where to put your shading and lighting
What I love about Angel is that he doesn't actually change the art style of the artist, he just improves and actually helps artists who is asking for it.
I’m drawing rn at talking lots of advice from you! I’ve always done shading the same no matter where the light source is and this information is really helping! Trying with proportions! ❤️❤️❤️
I think it goes to show that with new technology anyone can create pretty pictures, but it takes a truly masterful artist to create stunning masterpieces of art
Been watching ur shorts for the past few days. Ive learned a lot and have seen an improvement in my art. Thank you for your helpful tips. You teach very well in a short format which is not easy to do

WHATTTTTTTTT such small changes makes the drawing look so much better ! you're really an art god
What would you consider a "big change"?
he changed the ears, eyebrows and other features drastically off cam
why do you all everyone comment the same thing
He changed the art for good, but I wouldn't say those are "small" changes
Those aren’t small changes though he only showed a bit but he changed a quite a lot of it, you gotta pause and try comparing them
Whoa!! What a massive improvement

I love how you point out when the artist does something correctly.
you definitely helped
The way he says “dwawing” is so relaxing 👍🏻

He always makes it look so much cleaner and smoother! Crazy what a little lighting and shading/defining can do!
You're one of the few people that make me proud to be Bulgarian 🇧🇬 Also your English is imacculate!
Honestly, you're one of the best art teachers
I'm surprised how little the placement of features changed. At first they felt off, but with the right shading, it's clear they weren't.
I love the improvement, but one thing I noticed was that the reference is looking straight, while the head is tilted down. Meaning the iris should barely be touching the bottom lid. This also helps the drawing give off that intimidating feeling like the reference does. 😊

The before and after really sells it. It's knowing the little things!
