So here. From someone that owns both, and has no bias.. this is how i see it. The pixel is better for people that want an android and benefits of andoird, without getting bloatware.. another thing that the pixel is better in is AI.. the AI features that phone has are actually genuinely useful and stand out above the galaxy.. like, holding for you, call screening (yes galaxy has this but googles is more streamlined, though some people like that samsungs allows you to text whatever you want to them while google you have to pick some premade options which is really limiting and often means you cant respond how you would actually want to while screening) samsung has better battery life, and better overall power.. so if you game.. galaxy is the best. Now.. the pixel FEELS better when using it. Its alot more smooth, the haptic feedback is amazing on it, and the pixel also just brings a better PHONE experience in general. The sound the pixel has for typing and notifications is also leagues better than the way the samsung sounds. He was wrong about the battery though, pixels battery is not better. In any way. There are plenty of youtubers that show this. The battery is bigger by a tiny bit yes, but the chip being way less efficient contributes to the battery not being as good overall. JUST youtube? Yes, googles phone does better on battery with youtube, but with literally EVERYTHING else and overall in general the galaxy has better battery. I know, ive been using both since release. So overall, i think the galaxy is better for those that use their phone not only as a phone. But also as entertainment, for work, and use it almost as a portable laptop. The pixel though is better for anyone that wants the phone to be a phone. It does phone better than the galaxy. Bringing ai features that genuinely help day to day on calls. Another thing to mention. Overall right now, id probably say your best bet is to buy the s24 ultra, why? Because the 25 comes out in a month... so if you get the s24 ultra, you get the 25 for cheap when you trade in. We already know that the pixel 10 is not moving to snapdragon and instead will be on the tensor g5.. so the galaxy s25 ultra is going to be about 70% stronger than the pixel 10 and probably nearly double the strength of the 9 ... The pixel also has the better flashlight of the 2, has a slightly louder speaker it seems, and the galaxy is seen much more easy outside even if the pixel gets brighter due to the auto brightness functions working a little better on the galaxy and due to the antiglare. The pixel has a thermometer you can use to check if you have a fever, and the galaxy has an s pen you can use to sign.
@@MuskkanGoel at this point in time, galaxy s24 ultra will be the better buy, though id wait for literally less than 10 days and get the galaxy s25 ultra cuz itll be released on the 22nd of this month. The 25 is going to be by FAR the best phone for you. But if you want to pick these 2. For content creation, galaxy is better. Unless its JUST pictures.. then the pixel is better
you guys test each phone on the same location but different days, and compare those images whenever comparing phones which is kinda unfair. come on don't be lazy
Thank you for your review - Very awesome. One quick question, please: If I already own the S24 Plus, should I switch to Pixel 9 Pro? I like taking "low-light" shot or night shot, I've heard that the Pixel 9 Pro can handle better then the S24. What is your thoughts on this feature, please? Thanks.
I use the S24+ and I'll be honest the pixels is a good phone my sister uses it but the processor is not as strong as what u get on the s24 and s24+ also look at the new One Ui 7 it's absolutely amazing and it's only beta for how good I looks
@JAYCEMERALD agreed, but the UI bug absolutely destroys the phone. It's unclear who it impacts and why, but when it does, the phone freezes and crashes multiple times per minute. And Samsung has yet to fix it a year after it first came up. Even booting in safe mode and s factory reset doesn't fix it. It's a death nail.
not sure if thats the bug that killed my s22 but yeah my s22 started freezing lagging nd rebooting all damn day until i switched to a pixel 9 fck samsung ..i wanted that phone to last me another year at least@@VailRuinedSkiing
@hoodiemike210 sounds like it was the same thing! I even booted into safe mode and did a factory reset and it came right back. When I found out AT&T would give me a free Pixel 9 and Pixel Watch 3, it was a no brainer.
Both are ok but not perfect at all. Although, OneUi is a win for me. I would do Galaxy S24 🆚 Pixel 9 Pro, because of lenses. Both are fine for an average user who doesn't care that much about gaming. Only hardcore geeks would cry and complain.
Samsung One UI is easily the reason to choose over Pixel. I rely on Modes and Routine a lot which to me makes my phone behaves 'smarter' than what Google thought their Gemini AI would do. For example, I can set a mode to enable auto rotate only when RUclips is open or having different profile when I'm working at office.
Good general comparison. Is there a category for measuring bluetooth reliabilty? In vehicles, do they both use AndriodAuto - is this an area of measurable difference? Do these devices work the same regardless of the wireless carrier or is this another area of measurement?
I prefer the Pixel over Samsung, as Samsung has too much bloatware on its phones. They have some of the apps that the Pixel has, but it also has their (Samsung's) iteration of the very same apps! Why? Stock Android is my better choice, and I love the Google Caller app. If you're connected to the internet, and an established company calls, they will pull up the company's name for you, and I love that feature! Does Samsung's caller app do that? I guess not... And, Pixels are always the first to get updates!
Unfortunately, it is not sold in Turkey either. I also use the S24. The Pixel 9 is not as good a device as it is hyped. The S24 is both a high-quality and very stylish phone...
PIXEL FOR ITS CLEAN UI and no facebook spyware preloaded no shitty apps and games installled on my device. I dont care about one ui features My phone is not for them to sell my data.
@GSM, does Google have any confirmed software options to use Pixel phones in the same way that Samsung DEX allows Samsung S series with desktop support?
You say the pixel 9's top brightness is better but compare them when you're outside in direct sunlight and warmer temps. I bet the s24 will do better there. The s24 can hold the higher brightness while the pixel starts dimming quite fast.
I used the pixel 8 before but cannot stand the tensor chipset it's so slow and over heating alot. Never ever i will buy pixel, but if tensor manages to pull thru over the next years, i will buy one again because i love the ui.
There are filters dedicated for that. The front camera on the S24 tends to whiten the face when capturing or recording videos. I'm not sure why, but it helps here in countries where people have brown skin. My S23 does the same and does incredibly well to balance my skin color.
There really is not competition between the base Pixel 9 and the S24 when it comes to photos. Google hobbled the camera software. There are no manual controls. So if you want to change exposure - nope. You can much with brightness, but that's as close as you can get. The base pixel also lacks the multi-zone LDAF. I found the single-zone LDAF (laser detect autofocus) to be very inconsistent. The 50mp sensor is limited to 12.5 mp. So it's really no comparison to the capability of the S24. And downright bad in low light. And you lose the telephoto lens. So a digital 2x crop "zoom" is all you get. Add to that the horrible implementation of quick setting on pixel OS and the extremely slow wireless charging (unless you use the pixel stand). The S24 cpu is both faster and better with battery. The S24 right now is the same price as the base Pixel 9. So I don't know how there is really any competition between the 2.
Very interesting, the Pixel 9 has the bigger main camera sensor and Google image processing is great, but you definitely have a point. Googles Camera app often seems to simple and limiting. I hope Samsung includes better sensors in their S25s tough, otherwise they'll lose the camera game to Apple and Google soon, just look at the DxOmark ratings.
If ur looking for a budget friendly phone get the A55 5g amazing phone has some overheating here and there but for abit more money u can get the S21 which is amazing and a stronger processor and a more premium feel
In my opinion.....the s24 plus is the best middle ground phone. It has a big screen that is small enough to fit in your pocket and hold in your hand. Great battery life and Samsung UI that has more useful features.
😂 man both are same ,samsung do the fabrication ,samsung fabrication is not good that why snapdragon moved to TSMC for the flagship chipset and tensor chips are moving to TSMC fabrication
Dont go with pixel at any cost You will be paying for cheap hardware huge price Device may die any time. an for repair they service center will charge almost same price of device you purchased. It is completely scam

@xxarmikaxx I have S20FE and I like it, but right now, there is no other samsung with the specifications of my current phone. So I am stuck until an S will have SD cards and all other stuff. Pixel, ignoring what I said, looks tempting. I am also tempted by vivo x200 / oppo find x8
This is a product review not a political post. Also by that logic, would you ignore a company that created a cure for cancer or AIDS because its political actions are to your liking?

I'm guessing they use footage from respective reviews hence different days comparison
How about you stop comparing shots taken at different times? This camera comparison is not valid.

true for most, I'd say

4:11 - It should say 27W on Pixel 9
how's the fingerprint reader on the Pixel 9? better than the 6?
Now pixel 9 comes with ultrasonic fingerprint reader, same as Samsung so both are identical performance wise
I am switching from iphone. Which one should i get? I just want better user experience and better display that is smooth. Please suggest----
Can't wait to see how the S25 compares.

S24 is horrible with Android auto... cant use it in my Volkswagen Tiguan 2018. The phone disconnect every 2 mins... no problem another brand

Samsung. I can't get the pixel in Nigeria. But I'd go the Plus rather than the base 24
For me i'll wait for a month for s25
