Apologies for the length of this video, it made sense to run days 5 and 6 together for reasons that will hopefully be apparent. For anyone who has followed the journey though - thank you. And for those who have subscribed, thank you even more.
I've got some ideas forming about what to do next, but I'm open to suggestions and constructive criticism etc. My hope is to make better content for people to enjoy, and I'm only going to manage that by trying new things.
Please feel free to comment questions or suggestions etc, I'm usually pretty good at replying.
    Happy trails!

ive got to agree with thoroughly enjoyed these videos . i did leave this one to this morning after watch the others yesterday evening , but i didnt want to miss any of The Twist with being tired .. and remember i said earlier that i got the bit wrong on the first day of the WHW , well i ended up pulling up at the end of that day , twisted an ankle and took a bit of a slither of bone off it was the exact phrase at the hospital , took it tight off my friends and colleagues for ages but best thing to do sometimes is go hone and try another day .. thanks for being honest enough to finish the video with the true grace you showed throughout . subscribed and will certainly view the rest of your walks . thanks again .

Alright! I enjoyed your last trip and this one was quite a leap in quality. Well worth your efforts. An entertaining mix of history, ponderings and pain which is a far fairer representation of such hikes than most videos. Laughed at some bits and learned a few things along the way. It was a very welcome departure from the usual carefully choreographed soulless selfies and generic bagpipe music etc. I’ll be doing the hike again in July, which I swore I’d never do, although it’s the only window for childcare so I’d still rather take the midges, and less so the tourists, in July than miss the rare opportunity to get some time out. Finally subscribed. All the best, Gordon.

      Cheers Gordon!
I lack the talent for choreography, and the aggressive force of will required to deploy bagpipes.
I can see what you mean about the July issue, but then thousands of folk do the trail in July, so how bad can it really be?
Hope it goes well for you, and thanks for watching (and subscribing).

ahh Kenny, I loved your West Highland Way. So funny in parts too, ha ha. Brilliant. Thanks for the tips, I just know I'd get lost at the very points you mention. Keep on walkin..and bring on the Cape Wrath!

Thanks very much for watching, I'm fairly sure the Cape Wrath would be a disaster on an epic scale atm. I frequently struggle to find my arse with both hands, so actually relying on map and compass likely wouldn't end well, maybe one day 😄

Ha ha, I’m sure you’d manage it in style 💪🏻😊

Fort Bill gets too much love, I want to see some hikers walking into Oban :-D

@@RandomWanderingsChannel I'd take Oban over Fort W any day its far more interesting and the folk are just far more friendly, you can spend a whole day in Fort W and not a soul will even look at you, impossible to do that in Oban

Hi enjoyed watching the whw with a twist. I think the high path you took at head of Loch Etive is the climbers path upto the Etive slabs which are the sweeping slabs up the hillside. Good effort pushing a way through on the lochside. I doubt that route sees many walkers apart from the odd Tgo challenger and in a way its good its still kinda wild. Did you pick up any tick bites? Cheers

      Hi David, thanks for watching.
That's an interesting idea about the higher path, really wasn't much of a path either, but would make sense.
No tick bites, I try to take as many precautions as I can but tbh I just don't think the wee buggers like me much, which I'm good with :-D
