They started strong and they haven’t really steered off course.

So vessel writes everything except the drums. He writes and records the vocals, synths, keys, bass and guitar ii writes and performs the drums. They bring iii and iv on tour along with espera(backup singers) Their entire catalog is one long story. Two ep’s a few singles and 3 albums I would actually start at their first ep and go forward you’ll get the story

New sub..... here to Worship....Sleep Token is by far one of the best bands in a generation. Vessel's voice is just so .... ooh so buttery and rich. Makes you want to just wrap it around you and let him guide you on a journey. I'm seeing them May 6th and I'm so excited. Good luck getting a shirt....a lot of sites are sold out of Sleep Token merch. They're awesome. Looking forward to more Sleep Token....try something older like THE OFFERING, HIGHER, DARK SIGNS or SUGAR. These are all from their first album SUNDOWNING. So good. They don't have a bad track. Funny that the first song you listen to was my first song that had on repeat for a while and took me a month or 2 to finally hear what else they got. Became my favorite band in recent years instantly. Only tip I’ll say , leave Euclid for last or at least until after you hear ‘the night belongs to god’.
I mean. At this point I believe you should do the album Take me back to eden from start to end. Even if that means re-listening to 3 tracks. Placing them in their context in the album does stuff to it.
The syncopation between the vocals and the instruments is sublime, it’s as though they ‘speak’ music and the writing between Vessel and II is other worldly. Note that ascending piano scale in the intro too, there’s even Ascensionism in the actual freaking song 🤯
The short synopsis of their story is its about love and devotion towards someone or something and all the emotions that come with that They write the lyrics just ambiguously enough that listeners can project their own story onto each song and make it their own while still understanding there's a theme for each And they do such an amazing job matching the proper sound with the emotion. And by now you realize they are not limited by genre. Everything is on the table at all times. And that allows them to tell amazing stories through music
