    Some things that have helped to control my hair fall include: (1) I stopped wearing hair ties because it causes tension breakage. (2) I started massaging my scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while leaning forward & holding my head upside down to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Protecting my head while moving out to shield my hair from pollution. (4) Using mild shampoo again from liittleextra only to cleanse my hair.

      Who ever going through this condition my best advice is go to a dermatologist and start the treatment early please don’t delay.. my son has this condition I didn’t know anything about alopicia until my son had my Gp didn’t do much now he lost all his body hair 😢 but many doctors said sooner you treated you could have recover .. their is good medication .so start soon when you have a small patch

    I suffered with this, I had around 5 patches. 3 on the sides, 1 on the back and 1 on top. It lasted for around 5 months and it was frustrating. And I didn’t do anything and did not treat it. It just fixed itself. The hair on the top and back came back and only the 1 of the ones on the side came back thick and normal. 2 of the ones on the side came back full and covered the spots but are not as thick as it was before. Anyways allhamdulilah it’s all gone now

      Yes, I had AA and had a tooth infection. The first bald spot was close to the tooth, within an inch or so, on my neck/beard. No proof it had anything to do with the tooth infection. Every doctor or dentist I’ve been to about this dismisses that it would have anything to do with it. But I read that article and thought it was possible for sure

    About a two months ago i had noticed a weird sensation on my head. It almost felt as if i had my hair in a bun for a long time, like some sort of surface headache. As i ran my hands through my hair i had noticed a patch about the size of a quarter missing. I was so shocked and confused. I got my phone out and took a video of the spot and it looked exactly like the photos showen with the exclamation hair spilts. I silently freaked out because at that time my father had just been diagnosed with cancer and I didn’t want to bring another “illness” to the surface, and i still haven’t said a word. I’ve waited since February 6th (It’s currently March 21st) for the hair to grow because im too scared to tell my family about it. I don’t know if i have Alopecia but I’ve been doing research about it. I have no prior family history with an autoimmune disease of any sort, as for my dad he has stage 4 stomach cancer. They did a test on him to see if my siblings and i are affected by cancer in any way and it’s negative (supposedly).
    I guess i just don’t want to be a problem to my parents. You’re probably asking yourself “Why doesn’t she just go to the doctors or something?!”, but I can’t i don’t know any of my info of insurance or anything. I literally just graduated high school and i have no idea what to do.
    I guess i just wanted to tell somebody, well if anyone sees this 🤷‍♀️ i had to get it out of my system somehow.

      If you can please see a doctor. This can be caused by an inflammation in the body that shows no other symptoms. It might be good to check your teeth, sinuses, digestive tract etc.
      It could also be caused by heavy stress.
      You should not be alone in this, stay strong and reach out if you need support. I hope your father, you and your family get better ❤.

    A lot of it has to do with stress and bad routine. Also if you suffer from skin disorders like psoriasis or eczema there is more chance of alopecia. It’s due to the fact our immune system is attacking ourselves that could be triggered by bad routine, sugars, food, drugs etc

    • @kvocalist
      @kvocalist Год назад +2

      If you have underlining issues which you don't know about, it can be triggered. However, diet and small bouts of stress is not going to cause alopecia areata. Your immune system has to be triggered to where it becomes overactive, it has nothing to do with having a weak immune system, the immune system is to STRONG which then it begins to attack.
      Genetics plays a major role, if you carry the gene u might develop it later on on life, it just has to be triggered. Other major factors of course can be chronic emotional stress, illness, medication. Anything that will trigger your immune system basically. Its not really based on having a bad diet or using drugs

    • @YaDunno54
      @YaDunno54 Год назад +1

      @@kvocalist well I’m telling you this from experience. Also from a Medical standpoint even doctors cannot tell you the triggers. Only that it is made up of 3/4 things. One immune system attacking itself, two genetic predisposition, 3 routine/food/stress/triggers

    • @kvocalist
      @kvocalist Год назад +1

      @@YaDunno54 Yeah of course a lack of vitamins could definitely be a factor. I wonder if all of these things combined trigger the immine system. I wanna know once the immune system is overactive, does it just attack and attack causing the aloepecia, or does it stop and then get overactive again. I am a bit loss about that part, as some folks experience 1 patch one year and then the following year their is comes like crazy. Like does the immune system stay overactive all that time??

    I developed AA last year and since then I had 4 patches. One would heal and another one would appear. It took me a long time to notice the first one because it was on the back of the head. I went to a specialized dermatologist and they did injections of corticosteroids during the course of months and I applied every night corticosteroids as lotion. From my personal opinion, corticosteroids in lotion might work better than in cream, because the lotion can penetrate more than superficially the skin. The two patches on the back of the hair have regrown. It appeared one in the top of the head and I realized quickly and started to apply the lotion right away, it stoped spreading and it started regrow promptly. For women sometimes is hard to identify a patch because we have a lot of hair. I found another one closer to my ears, it is a big one because I took a lot of time to find it.
    I have some tips: if you are a woman, pay attention to suddenly hair loss with strands of hair falling together. If you can not find the patch, try dividing your hair in different parts and brushing it separately. In this manner you may find where the majority of the hair is falling from and localize the bald spot. Try applying corticosteroids in lotion as soon as you notice the bald spot, to avoid it from getting bigger. If you suffer from this condition very often, it is better if you consult a specialized dermatologist. I think the recovery may be harder if the AA spreads and if we wait too long for treating it.

      @@Neyoo88 Hi! I’m happy to share that my condition has fully recovered. I strongly recommend seeking professional help from a dermatologist experienced in treating AA. In my case, monthly microinjections of corticosteroids into the affected patches made a big difference. These injections target the deeper layers of the skin, addressing the inflammation that disrupts hair growth. Additionally, I applied corticosteroid lotion to my scalp every night. These lotions were prescribed by my doctor, who adjusted the formulation regularly to prevent my scalp from becoming resistant to the treatment. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best on your journey to recovery!

That was in July when I had my surgery and was put under. It’s slowly gotten bigger since I first got it and is now a little bigger than a quarter. I wonder if the stress of worrying for months and finally getting the surgery triggered it or not. Also, I rarely get sick. I haven’t been sick with anything in 5 years. Mine started around age 8-9 with a single patch. Doctors prescribed rubbing it with garlic which didn't work. A barber treated it with acid - it burned the skin, formed a scab and after it naturally fell off, hair regrew. Unfortunately, later on new patches appeared but the acid was no longer working.

    I'm not even sure if i care to go back to my dermatologist because right off the bat her opinion made no sense.... I have thinning hair on the temples of my head and the center of my crown and at the time when i was wondering about the temples i asked her about my hair and she called it traction hair thinning saying i pulled my hair too tight, i think she assumed i do because i'm black and she thinks i wear hair peices..... I've never worn weaves or wigs, i don't do hair extensions, and the only time i've ever had a perm was like for only 2 years when i was in high school and that wasn't even my choice, my mom decided to impose it on me because she got tired of combing my hair because it was always so big and thick. I've always had long natural hair and the only thing i've been doing was wearing my hair in braids because i don't have much options, my hair knots on itself because i have 4b hair, it's always getting tangles if i wear it out and i cant keep it in a braid less bun with the loose hairs combed a ponytail because by the time i start running a comb through it it resists too much starting to knot on itself again....
    I've always had long thick hair, like 30 inches of it most of my life, then suddenly i hit 30 and randomly started getting anxiety attacks followed by eczema and then my hair started thinning at the temples and then the center crown of my head, then i've been noticing how my hair don't seem to have luster like i did when i was in my 20s either, like it being super black and shiny, now it's dull, dry, and overly kinky when normally it waves, and when i comb it i notice a lot of broken ends all over the place. It's kinkier like closer to 4c and not as long anymore, it went from 30 inches stretched down to my back to now about 23-15 inches long. I've always been a shedder growing up, a large amount always came out but it was never a concern because there was so much hair and so much length as soon as it sheds it grew back a decent amount and i never had bald spots, and my hair grew very fast like 2 inches a month, but now it's even more hair being combed out, like a massive ball per week...... Only now new hair don't replace all the extra shedding like it used to, there's no straight up baldness it just doesn't have as much body anymore and is notably thin in some areas.
    The only leads i have are eczema and anxiety and possibly hypothyroidism or something else similar because what else is there to speculate about and i'm getting fed up. I don't have much options to explore treatments not even natural, because a lot of treatments are expensive not to mention trying out medical serums....
    I feel like for now ill just stick to my family dr, like blood tests and stuff like that to rule out hormonal problems or if it's even anxiety or eczema related, because the dermatology rout don't feel like it's headed anywhere, demonologists are my last resort because i don't see anything physically wrong with my scalp, no flakes or scales, so i'm wondering if it's a systemic problem.

      Однако, это отрасль генной инженерии, и стоимость такой процедуры что-то около миллиона долларов. Плюс, такой вариант лечения может вызвать раковые заболевания.

It than got me again at 33 years old. Same treatment and course of time. I got it again at 48 years old and I am still dealing with it now. It is not doing great this time. I am having a very hard time getting it back with treatment. The answer to your question is nobody really knows the answer, it is very mysterious. It sucks! Try every treatment. Alopecia probably indicates fluoride toxicity. I was on tap for half a year, and during the storms (runoff into rivers feeding the tap supply here) recently I started pulling a lot of hair which never happened before. Stopped the (high quality filtered) tap and couple days later no more.
    Also might explain common male baldness, people are the only animals drinking that much water (which even in nature can be highly fluoridated).

    I've been suffering with this since I was 17. I was recommended steroid cream, is this the same as steroid creams you get for eczema as I also suffer with that too.

    I also noticed when i was first diagnosed with eczema some of the hairs on my arms and legs would easily wipe off, like if i run my hand over my arm and the hairs would slip out of the follicle like they were loose and my eyebrows started thinning. Now the skin issue is dealt with and my eyebrows have grown fully back in and my hairy arms seem somewhat typical, the hair on my head just got worst as those other problems improved on their own. I don't know if it's the same thing that's now happening with my scalp.
