Nobody is in any level of shit.
First, you don’t know that they were at the wrong house. It wasn’t the listed residence of the person who was wanted, but they could still have had reason to be looking for him at this location. It hasn’t been released yet why they were at that particular house.
Second, that’s irrelevant. All they did was knock at the door, knock again and identify themselves, and when the person inside yelled, “what the fuck do you want”, the cop calmly responded “come to the door, dude” - and the dude proceeded to leave through the back door and start firing at officers.
In other words, they did absolutely nothing wrong. This isn’t a Brianna Taylor situation where they didn’t identify and/or forced entry.

How is that incompetence? 95% of houses arent clearly marked, and they knocked first. You cannot just shoot at people who knock on your door.

What makes you think they shouldn’t have been at that address in the first place? The subject had a different address listed on the warrant, but the listed address isn’t the only place where you can find someone. They could’ve had reason to believe he was at this house.
And they didn’t do anything wrong, didn’t do anything to provoke this situation. They knocked at the door, they saw him looking at them, so they knocked at the door again, and they identified themselves. When he yelled, “what the fuck do you want,” the cop simply stated “come to the door, dude” . Instead, the dude went out the back door with a gun and started shooting at them.
There is absolutely no evidence of any incompetence here, and the only change that would have needed to be made. Here is not allowing a lunatic like Hoyhtya to have a gun

Absolutely no incompetence from police on display here, and there was nothing to defend against. For all you know, they may have had good reason to believe he was at this address, and regardless all they did was knock at the door. They were not being aggressive in any way, and this idiot responds to police politely knocking at his front front door by going out the back door and shooting at them.
Do a search on here every morning with these words shooting in and then look and see if that city has a Democrat mayor and DA.
The majority of the time, it won’t. There are higher rates of gun related deaths in Republican areas and higher rates of violent crime in Republican areas.

There will be no payout - unless, perhaps, it’s a token payout because that’s cheaper than actually going to court. There’s no reason for anybody to lose their job. They knocked at the door, identified themselves, knocked again, and this nutcase went out the back door and started shooting at them.

And no, that is not why the guy responded in that manner. All the cops did was knock at the front door, and he responded by going out the back and firing at them.

They saw him looking at them, knocked again, called out, “sheriff’s office open up”, he started yelling, asked “what the fuck do you want,” cop says “come to the door, dude”, he continues swearing, one of them sees him come out the back door with a gun and yell at him to show his hands, and he starts shooting at them
