Hey dude, I just found your channel. It’s wayyy underrated, you should have wayyy more subs. I just got my first FPV rig and will be watching your flights for inspiration and motivation. Happy flying bro!
@@ridethesky3259 mainly Joshua tree area, but I’ll be cruising around between Moab and jtree, and anywhere in between, doin the vanlife thing. Waiting for my 107 and then I’ll start posting videos soon.
I’ve been curious to know if you’ve ever crashed way out like that and had to figure out a way to recover it. How did/would you be able to? A lot of that terrain looks pretty impassable.
I've had a few pretty sketchy recoveries, but in an area like this, if I crashed, it would just be a total loss. I've thought about getting a big phantom 4 or something to potentially lift a quad out of an area like this, but I'm not sure of the lifting power.
@@ridethesky3259 That trepidation is what has kept me from going far out or into rougher terrain areas - well, that and the cost in time and money for a replacement. Would you at least have reliable GPS coords for where it left flight?
@@Chef_PC I'm unsure there's a way to get gps coordinates without having the drone itself. I've crashed a few in the middle of nowhere and had to rely on the recorded goggle feed and the beeper. One time the battery was so discharged the beeper didn't work so it was just a blind hunt. Luckily I found it! I recorded that flight on a video on my channel called something like "range test gone wrong". The kwad fell.probably 250 feet out of the air and didn't have a scratch! The battery was toast, though
It’s 7am Sunday just saw your video…I am going flying…thanks for the inspiration …👍
Ah yah! Hope you had a great rip!

WOW another epic one, Love the ending
Right after that epic flight, love that landing in the back of the van lol
Haha keeping it classy with the van landing haha :)
HEY, you stuck the landing! lol Jokes aside, I can't imagine a much better place for FPV than all the gorgeous rocks out in Utah. Much luv buddy.
Lol I didn't bounce it off the seat this time!
The American south west was built by God for cinematic FPV flyers lol.
Tbh 😂
I fully agree! Fpv and moto :)
I’m heading west this winter! Teach me the ways sensei;)!
Very cool! Where are you coming to?

@@ridethesky3259 Maybe a smaller coin battery powering the GPS receiver that you can ping from your phone, kinda like they use for pet collars.
