well today i bought a pitbike also for 50$ and it actually started one the firsts kick, all it needz is a rear tire tube and a chain

@@kryror6 so the engine runs great although it smokes a bit and I have to order a new exhaust because this one points towards my feet and I need to fabricate a custom metal bracket to mount the rear brakes

I bought one just like that for $50 as well. Put on some new Kawasaki 110 plastics I had laying around, fixed a couple of small things and sold it for $300 easily. It was a fun bike. I almost wrecked it when I shifted from the top of third gear down to second by mistake. The shift pattern is opposite from the Japanese bikes so that took some getting use to. Up was downshift and down was upshift.
I had the same exact thing happen to me on my first test ride!

I bout a 50cc 2 stroke SSR SX50-A pit bike for $60, turned on and ran. All it needed was a new pull start and Bam I'm enjoying it to this very moment

When cleaning plugs always remember to slide some high grit paper inbetween the element (inbetween the top part).
I built my own from a frame and swingarm, built it 2 years ago and it still runs fine after more than 30 rides

Always 1 step if moped is standing long, check the sparplug and gas in the tank!

I bought a 90cc Yamaha dirt bike for 50 bucks. Just needed a new top end and carb. Totally worth it.. still runs great today. Oh and no rust lol

The bikes name is a coolster you can tell by the grips and seat but that exhaust is not stock at all sounds nice

It didn't leak any fuel when we started it, the wet spots on the ground were already there before we started it.

Probably the cables to short or you had the choke on witch will make it rev up to high anyway
My old bike did the same thing it turned out to me a chunk in the carby
Cable isn't to short and putting the choke on or off doesn't change anything.

I did adjust the idle screw, It didn't change anything.
I spent 125 on a pitbike few years ago best bike i have ever had it always ran no problems it was mint

I got a 90cc thumpstar for $200 Australian. Came with a new carb, front tyre etc. Runs good starts first kick.

It’s a air leak or the carb jets can sometimes be lean and cause issue/rarely like that.

The second plug you were looking at whole you were looking at the CDI box is used if you wanted to hook up a rear brake on your handlebars

I replaced the carb, The old carb was trash. This resolved the issue.
I’m notorious for buying bikes like this. Been doing it for 30+ years. Few tips-Drain the fluids in safer containers NOT used water bottles. Oil bottles, old fuel cans, metal coffee cans but anything is better than a plastic bottle that will melt.
Start with the simplest things you need to replace anyway-air filter, spark plugs etc. Don’t throw money at something it might not need. Also-Screw extractor sets, tap and dies-CRITICAL for older dirt bikes because screws and bolts WILL strip, break etc.

Most likely the carb is too big try to find a Suzuki 4 stroke 125 carb bc I had the same problem with my Yamaha

Chinese pit bike..I have a Apollo 18x 125 love my bike and it's quick and got power..that's probably one of the first Chinese dirt bike models..

I got a 2020 pit bike for $300 in perfect condition but with a blown rim. Bought a new tube tire and rim all done and came assembled for $100. $400 for a 2020 mint pit bike not bad in my opinion. Im also in canada so shits more expensive here
Sounds like your air:fuel ratio is super lean, Try richening up the mixture.
I also got a pit bike fore 90 dollars and all it needed was a tube and clean the carb and it started first kick but after awhile the piston gave up and it wouldn't start so I got a piston and rings and it fired right up

Yeah just swapped a Q to a crackhead for his 125cc atomik, has some rattles and starter relay is kaput but its pretty fun.

When I was younger I bought a pit bike that looked the exact same as that but red same plastics look and everything for 850 but it kinda ran
I mean I would get it, spray paint the plastic, change the tires/ blow them up if needed and then give it gas and try to force it to work
I have number plates, gas tank shrouds and a rear fender for one of those
The yellow ones on the bike are very fragile, just looking at them is enough to crack them 😅
And if u don’t have a throttle cable on the throttle in the carb could of been turned to where it was giving it gas

I got a 90cc thumpstar for $200 Australian its in good condition. its old but it runs great. The guy wanted to 250 but i got him to sell it for 200. All i can say is find a bike in reasonable condition and try get the seller to drop the price
